Unexpected Turn of Events Chapter 1

  The moon is dark and the wind is high at night, a strange quietness in a small forest.

  Suddenly a white light flashed by, falling from the sky and heavily smashing to the ground, causing a commotion.

  The birds took flight in alarm, smoke and dust billowed forth, and the earth trembled ceaselessly.

  The tree leaned over, and the strong force brought by the white light created a large pit in the small forest.

  The girl lay in a sorry state at the center of the large pit, one hand pressing against her abdomen where blood flowed nonstop, and the other hand propping herself up on the ground trying to get up.

  She couldn't stay for a moment, at this moment the girl had only one thought, escape.

  As long as she still had a thread of strength, she wanted to escape.

  The stumbling girl had just taken a few steps forward when another flash of light came, right where the girl had just lain down.

  "Annoying you, where else do you want to run?" The smoke dispersed, the man crossed his arms, impatiently staring at the pale-faced girl, while the demonic dog beside him revealed its red eyes, sharp teeth gleaming, drooling as it locked onto its master's prey.

  "Even if I die, I'll take you down with me." Anno gritted her teeth, the pain of her wound keeping her awake, as she glared at this ruthless man with a resolute expression.

  A seal mark appeared on her forehead, and a brilliant light radiated from Anno's body, expanding outward with her as the center.

  "Damn it." The man cursed under his breath, his face darkening in displeasure. He hadn't expected this woman to actually not be afraid of death.

  The speed of the holy light expanded very quickly, and the man couldn't escape at all. Just as he was about to enter the purification range, the intense light suddenly disappeared.

  At this critical moment, the man looked back in confusion and burst out laughing.

  Only to see Anno tightly covering his own abdomen, kneeling weakly on the ground, sweating profusely, panting heavily, and exhausting all his strength, unable to resist being slaughtered.

  "Devourer, go and tear her apart!" After barely escaping with his life, the man's eyes were filled with murderous intent. With a single command, the demonic dog could no longer hold back, pouncing towards Anno, opening its bloody maw and revealing razor-sharp fangs.

  Closing her eyes, Anno smiled and said, "Death, there's nothing to be afraid of."

  Mom, I'm here to keep you company.

  "Ah-woo" was silently chanting in her mind, when a miserable cry rang out beside her ear. Anno opened her eyes to see the demonic dog that had been attacking her now lying at the man's feet, whimpering and convulsing in agony.

  Seeking gold medals, seeking collections, seeking recommendations, seeking clicks, seeking comments, seeking red envelopes, seeking gifts, all kinds of requests, whatever you want, just throw it over!
