Chapter 23: Conflict
Long Xing gazed coldly at the group of soldiers surrounding the door, pulled Su Rui behind him, and swiftly drew out the dagger he had just obtained. He glanced at it with a tilted head, suddenly broke into a smile, then turned around and hugged Su Rui in his arms, covering her head as they charged outward. The soldiers saw that this guy was still daring to charge forward while carrying someone, so they all aimed their machine guns at Long Xing and unleashed a barrage of gunfire. In an instant, the museum's entrance was devastated; all the windows, glass vases, and decorative items were shattered by the hail of bullets.
Unfortunately, Long Xing's defense was not something that could be harmed by a few light gunshots. As they were about to run out the door, Long Xing suddenly used the momentum from kicking off the stone pillar next to him and jumped up more than four meters high. Then, with Su Rui in his arms, he kicked off the ceiling above the door again and Long Xing rotated 360 degrees, using his body as a weapon to slam into the group of soldiers.
“Bang……” A loud noise, mixed with the sound of gunfire, seemed to be heard by only a few people, but it made everyone see that the several people in front who had been smashed were now minced meat. Long Xing then carried Su Rui behind him and charged forward into the hail of bullets from the group of soldiers. His dagger flashed, blood spurted out, and anyone who came into contact with him was not guaranteed to be intact.
Su Rui covered her mouth for a long time, unable to say a word. This guy was too formidable, able to ignore the bullet's attack and kill without hesitation, targeting vital spots. It seemed he wasn't much different from herself, a killer. What kind of background did this guy have? These were Su Rui's current thoughts, but what she cared about most was still Long Xing, who treated her like a child, sometimes hugging her and sometimes carrying her on his back. She secretly glared at him from behind, venting her emotions. However, she mostly felt grateful that this fool would think of protecting her first when trouble arose. Thinking this, Su Rui's face began to flush, but when she looked up at the situation in front of her, she forced herself to suppress these expressions.
It was at this time that everyone did not notice that the group of clones had disappeared.
After a fierce slaughter, he finally broke through the crowd of soldiers and rushed in. Just as he was passing by the soldiers, he suddenly jumped up without warning, then switched Su Rui to his front like a puppet, and rushed towards the gate.
Those soldiers were so scared that they only dared to shoot from behind, but unfortunately, Long Xing was also very skilled at dodging bullets. He flashed left and right, and few of the bullets could hit him.
Just as Long Xing was about to rush to the gate, those clones appeared again, each holding a long knife, and without saying a word, they directly rushed towards Long Xing.
Looking at this group of clones, Long Xing thought of the miserable appearance when he rescued Su Rui before. He knew that these clones were definitely not easy to mess with. After taking a look at the terrain and then looking at the clones who had been forced over, Long Xing once again held Su Rui in his arms, without regard for Su Rui's glaring eyes on him.
After changing his posture, Long Xing coldly stared at the small group of clone troopers in front of him, gritted his teeth and hugged Su Rui before charging forward. Just as he was about to make contact with the clone troopers, Long Xing suddenly ducked down and burst through the crowd, using the momentum to throw Su Rui outwards. At the same time, Long Xing was slashed by several clone troopers from behind. Afterwards, Long Xing loudly shouted for Su Rui to leave first, saying he would handle them himself.
Su Rui was thrown out of the courtyard wall by Long Xing with great force, flying towards a small tree. At the same time she was thrown out, she clearly saw Long Xing being hacked by those few clones, and fresh blood gushing out from his body. Su Rui's heart ached as if she had been hacked herself, but she also knew how to borrow strength. She stretched out her hand to hug the small tree beside her, using the resistance to land safely on the ground. However, in her heart, it was like an overturned bottle of five flavors, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
Inside the big yard, Long Xing was covering the wound on his body with a scowl, glaring at the group of clones in front of him. He was still angry about being injured by those damn ninjas last time, and now he was hurt again by these clones, another bunch of idiots from Japan. Thinking of this, Long Xing let out an angry roar, brandishing his dagger as he charged back. He had made up his mind to take down these clones first. Long Xing was always a man who would settle scores, Xiao Wu being a prime example.
Charging into the group of clones, Long Xing began his ruthless slaughter. However, in the midst of the killing, Long Xing clearly felt that stabbing his dagger into these clones was completely different from earlier when he was fighting ordinary soldiers. It seemed that these clones had also been strengthened, and even though his dagger could still pierce through them, it was somewhat laborious, with some areas being so tough that his dagger couldn't fully penetrate. It appeared that their bodies were similar to his own strengthened state, just not as extreme.
Watching those clones fall one by one, the commander behind finally couldn't bear it. These were all the latest research results. If they were annihilated here, his responsibility would be enormous. Thinking of this, the commander shouted loudly and called back the few remaining clones.
Upon receiving the order, those few clone men immediately stopped attacking and retreated obediently. However, Long Xing was not willing to let them off, so he kicked up a long knife with his toes and threw it at the back of one of the clone men. Then, he picked up several more knives and threw them all at the few clone men.
"Pffft... " A few sounds later, each of the clones had a long knife inserted into their back, unfortunately, they didn't seem to be injured by this and simply walked away as if nothing had happened.
Long Xing saw this, although somewhat unwilling, but also had no choice. He thought to himself that he couldn't defeat them in a fight, so it was better to retreat first. Moreover, he was injured and didn't know if he had been poisoned... Thinking of this, Long Xing took a deep look at the soldiers rushing over, then turned around and used the big tree by the door as leverage to jump out of the high gate that was nearly four meters tall. In an instant, he disappeared into the endless black night.
Su Rui returned to the hotel where they had previously stayed, looking at the place where they had discussed things before. She suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to burst into tears. She had never thought that someone would care about her so much. The memory of her brother, who had taken care of her since childhood, was already gone. From then on, Su Rui began to get used to living alone. An eight-year-old girl who had been stealing and begging on the streets until she finally made a name for herself in the dark world. Unfortunately, after that, she never thought anyone would care about her again, but now that someone did, it was going to...
Just thinking about it made Su Rui start to blame himself, he shouldn't have gotten involved with that damn notebook clue in the first place, those things had happened many years ago, who knows what's true or false.
Just as Su Rui was still deeply self-blaming, Long Xing rushed in with his injured body, kicked open the door, and saw Su Rui in his own room. After being slightly surprised, he took a backpack in one hand and pulled Su Rui away from here like escaping.
Because Long Xing knew that those little dwarves would never give up, they would definitely turn the entire Tokyo upside down, so it's better to leave early, otherwise if they were caught, he could handle himself, but this woman was afraid of being troublesome, after all, they were all Chinese, and being able to help a bit was good.
Long Xing brought Su Rui back to the small house he had rented before, and as soon as he opened the door, he saw someone lying inside. The person was very sensitive and jumped up as soon as they heard a sound. Seeing that it was Long Xing, they felt at ease again, asked casually how he was doing, and upon seeing the torn clothes on Long Xing's body, slightly furrowed their brow before pulling him aside to talk about the troubles they had encountered.
Just as the man was about to pull Long Xing aside and whisper in his ear, Su Rui discovered something that shocked him greatly. He found that the wound on Long Xing's back was healing at a speed visible to the naked eye. Connecting this with the fact that the hail of bullets in the museum earlier hadn't been able to harm Long Xing, he couldn't help but cover his mouth in shock, thinking to himself if this guy wasn't some kind of monster.
Long Xing listened to the person in front of him, initially with a pleased expression on his face. However, his face gradually sank, and finally, he slammed his fist onto the tea table beside him, shattering it into pieces. "Take me there," he growled, turning to glance at Su Rui.
Su Rui knew that Long Xing must have received some infuriating news, and silently stood behind him, firm in his stance.
The person who was beside him saw this and hastily ran to the front of Long Xing's procession to lead the way, heading towards the scene of the incident.
Just now, Long Xing learned that in the past few days when he was not around, Xiao Wu and Yuan Hang had done an excellent job of taking care of the tasks he had entrusted to them. They successfully opened two entertainment venues, which were managed separately by Xiao Wu and Yuan Hang. Thousands of people were employed to manage the entertainment venues, with most of them serving as ushers.
Xiao Wu and Yuan Hang, the two of them are indeed self-promoted management personnel. Unfortunately, recently, the entertainment venue has been frequently disturbed by those short-sighted people. First, there was a case of someone overdosing to death in the entertainment venue, followed by the disturbance caused by young hooligans, then it escalated into a murder case in the entertainment venue, and finally, Xiao Wu and Yuan Hang led a large-scale conflict between the Chinese gang and the local black organization.
The current entertainment venue has been intervened by the police and ordered to close.
After a melee, both sides suffered casualties, but the Chinese gang was at a disadvantage because the other side was well-prepared and armed. The black organization seemed to be quite arrogant, vowing to wipe out the Chinese gang on the streets of Tokyo.
Long Xing heard this and couldn't help but feel furious. As one of the leaders of the Huaren Bang, he was being taken down by a group of young thugs - if that's how it was going to be, then he might as well just dig his own grave and be done with it.
At last, he brought Long Xing to a stop in front of a large entertainment venue.
The current entertainment venue has been closed, leaving only a small door. Long Xing rushed into the entertainment venue in a hurry, and as soon as he saw it, he was stunned.
The first update is sent, and I'd like to thank you brothers for collecting, recommending, and thanking.
