Chapter Twelve

  Chapter Twelve

After moving into the school dormitory, Yucai's quality of life has greatly improved. Not only did she get rid of spiritual pressure, but living in school also became much more convenient. Li Xue and Wu Rangrang are both introverted and don't like to talk much, so Yucai is relatively more talkative, which means there isn't a problem with the dorm being too noisy for studying. Of course, the courtyard is still a bit loud, with constant shouts, laughter, and noise.

Yu Cai is rarely in the dormitory now, it's more convenient to go to class, and her spare time is spent finding an empty classroom to read. It was soon December, the weather getting colder and colder, one morning after waking up, Yu Cai felt dizzy and short of breath, only then did she realize that she had neglected a very important issue.

I was in poor health before my graduate studies, and every winter I would cough for a whole month. It wouldn't get better until both hands were covered with needle marks from injections. But after entering graduate school, the study pressure decreased, my thoughts matured, and my living standards improved, so my health gradually got better.

Yu Zai has not had a cold or cough for three whole years, and is extremely depressed and sorrowful. How could he have neglected this problem? If only he had exercised more and taken some VC and VB to enhance his physical fitness!

Yuqie used to be a good student, no matter how bad she was, she would never skip class. She still remembers that once she took the physics exam with a fever, and it was so miserable that it's unbearable to think about!

Yucai is still a good student now, she never speaks in class, doesn't pass notes, and doesn't make small movements. Except for occasionally being distracted which is unavoidable, Yucai can be considered an exemplary student. However...

Yu Zai, who had long since degenerated into a genuine petty bourgeois element, got up and simply packed a few clothes and two books. She went to the school gate and called her aunt, saying she wanted to go to her house for a few days. At the bookstore at the entrance, she bought a copy of the third-grade first-semester exam papers for Ji Xie. At the small grocery store, she bought a mask and then wrapped herself up tightly before going to class to ask Old Mei for leave, saying she needed to go home to rest for a few days. Since Yu Zai's performance had always been very good, Old Mei readily approved her request.

Yu Zai took a detour to Class 12, where Yu Zai had been hanging out during late self-study sessions. As it happened, Qi Shi Zhi was also a focal figure in the class, and the teacher of Class 12 already knew her as Yu Zai's cousin. With no effort at all, Yu Zai managed to get Qi Shi Zhi to come along.

After Yu Ji explained the reason, Yu Cai opened the test paper and said, "During this time I'm not here, you can consolidate what you learned before. I took three days off plus Saturday and Sunday, can you finish the ab volume of the first five units?"

Qī shì zhī diǎn diǎn tóu, kāi kǒu dào, "děng wǒ yī huìr."

  Translation:

Jishi nodded and said, "Wait a moment".

Although Ji Shi still spoke little, Yu Cai no longer felt honored when he spoke to her, and she nodded slightly at his words.

Qí Shì Zhī entered the classroom, said a few words to the teacher, and saw that the teacher nodded slightly with an unpleasant expression. Qí Shì Zhī then left the classroom again.

  "Run".

  "Uh, where to go?"

  "Take you to the hospital."

"I'm going home, not to the hospital."

  "Go to the hospital first."

Yu Caijian had to open his mouth three times to explain, afraid that he would be impatient, and quickly explained, "It's like this, I have an aunt who is a doctor in the town, I'm going to her house, I'll take a taxi to the station later."

Ji Xi Zhi stopped talking, went downstairs first, and Yu Cai hurriedly followed up, "Really no need, really..." The rest of Yu Cai's words were automatically muted in Ji Xi Zhi's emotionless eyes.

Two people silently left the school gate and took a taxi to the train station. Along the way, Jiexie asked the driver to stop for a while, and after getting back in the car, there was an extra box of cake in her hand.

Yu Cai looked at the cake stuffed into her hand and immediately said, "I don't eat this, really".

But others don't even bother to reason with him, just give him a back of the head.

It was not easy to get on the bus, and Ji Shi also went back. Yu Cai looked at the cake in her hand with a bitter smile, this big box, she really didn't eat it herself. Forget it, just take it as a gift for her cousin when they meet...

After seeing off Yu Zai, I didn't want to go back to school, so I took a taxi and went home directly. As soon as I entered the door, I saw my father, who had not been seen for almost a month, wiping his hair and coming out of the bathroom.

Qishu was startled when he saw Jieshu, "Jieshu, aren't you supposed to be in class today? Why are you back so soon?"

Qizhi's face was cold and he didn't answer, changed his shoes and went straight into the room.

"Hey, stop for a moment. Give her the salary, your little teacher's wages are due. I'm going to take a nap soon, you can take it now."

Qizhi stopped in his tracks, Qishu handed him an envelope as soon as he entered the house, "How's your little teacher lately?"

  "I'm going home sick."

Qishu didn't expect him to respond and was surprised that Qishi actually replied with a sentence. He felt somewhat honored and immediately asked, "How did you get sick?"

Originally this sentence was half questioning and half exclamatory, but unexpectedly another sentence followed, "I have a cold, and I'm coughing a bit."

Qishu Fang immediately took the initiative to attack, "The little girl's body is not good, this time I just brought a few boxes of vitamin tablets for you, I heard that they can enhance immunity, when she comes back, bring one box to school and give it to her".

"Nothing," Zhai Xi said, seemingly realizing he had misspoken, and quickly retreated back to his room.

Qishu Fan's mouth corners rose into a smile, and he went into the house, closed the door, and started calling Lao Mei. After exchanging pleasantries, Qishu Fan asked Lao Mei to go to Class 12 to ask Qi Shi how he came back home halfway.

Lao Mei called back soon to explain the situation, and Qishu Fan got the answer he wanted, feeling even better. After a busy day and night, he was really tired and fell asleep soon.
