Chapter 2: Branching Out, Because of a Tantrum

Chapter 2: Branching Out, Because of a Tantrum

Mo Xi Yu had just turned around and left, when the boys in the "human wall" finally came to their senses. They were actually given a cold shoulder by a girl!

As they watched Mo Xi Yu's receding back, one of the boys cursed: "Damn it, who did I provoke? I'm innocent and yet I got a cold shoulder. But looking at her slender figure from behind, I won't hold it against her. If only I could see her face, that would be even better. She might just be a beauty." One of them was fantasizing when suddenly one of the boys chased after her.

"Rong Xuan, where are you going?" The boy who was daydreaming shouted hastily. Suddenly he realized something and yelled out loud: "Rong Xuan is so cunning!"

The other boys also realized it and chased after them, afraid of missing out on a good thing. When they caught up with Rong Xuan standing at the end of the corridor, they all stopped.

"Where's he?" They caught up but found no trace of that slender figure.

The end of the corridor was a staircase, and they saw that the owner of the silhouette might be going upstairs or downstairs now. If they missed this opportunity, they would not see each other again. This is also why Rong Xuan stopped chasing here.

"Alright! Rong Xuan, you're really not being considerate enough. You actually thought of monopolizing such a good thing!"

"Zhou Chen, don't you think she's special?" Rong Xuan still stared at the staircase, didn't answer Zhou Chen, but instead pushed him and asked.

Zhou Chen was taken aback, looking at Rong Xuan with a puzzled expression. Seeing him staring blankly ahead, his eyes somewhat dazed, "Are you sick? You got glared at by someone and yet you think she's special. If the girls who have a crush on you find out that their idolized Rong Da has this quirk, I think from now on you'd better not hang out with me anymore. I don't want to be stared to death."

Zhou Chen was quick-witted for a moment, but he didn't see him refute. If it were usual, Rong Xuan would have settled accounts with him long ago. What's going on today?

"By the way, what are you looking at?" Zhou Chen teased Rong Xuan, and couldn't help but wonder what could have caught the eye of the great General Rong. He looked around, but there was nothing out of the ordinary. He said casually: "If I had to say something special, it would be that figure in pink, with a slender and tall build, makes one want to take a look at her face. Unfortunately, when she glared at us just now, we didn't get a clear look."

When Zhou Chen said that about the figure, Rong Xuan's heart suddenly rose with a sense of annoyance, as if his treasured possession that he didn't want anyone to see was being coveted by someone. This feeling was unfamiliar, but there was a voice in his heart saying that he couldn't let Zhou Chen continue thinking about that figure, that figure was his exclusive property, and no one could covet it!

"You say I'm sick, but you're the one who's sick. I suddenly thought of something and got a bit distracted. But it's actually you, staring blankly at a girl's back, are you thinking of falling in love?" Rong Xuan thought to himself and intentionally changed the subject.

"Get out of here! There isn't a single beauty among the girls in this school. Even if I'm starving, I won't eat anything that's not good enough." He already has someone he likes.

Hearing Zhou Chen say that, Rong Xuan's heart inexplicably felt a sense of relief. The class bell rang at this time and several people walked into the classroom amidst laughter and chatter.

Mo Xi Wu turned around and entered the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror on the wall above the sink. Her palm-sized face was framed with a pair of black glasses, and her bangs, which had not been cut for a long time, were almost covering her eyes. This was an ordinary face, but she was wearing a princess dress. Mo Xi Wu ridiculed herself again, a branded ugly duckling mixed into the swan group, she really couldn't stand this kind of life that even she didn't respect herself.

There are still two years, as long as she can get into college, she can get rid of this disguise. In the past year, Mo Xi Wu has been working hard every day to improve her ranking, in order to use time as much as possible for studying, and she is used to being independent, so Mo Xi Wu lives in the school dormitory.

The school bell rang, and Mo Xi Wu lowered her head again, silently walking into the classroom and sitting in her own seat. The teacher hadn't arrived yet, and the classmates around her were chatting enthusiastically. It had been a summer holiday since they last saw each other, so naturally, they couldn't miss the opportunity to exchange pleasantries. Although her seat was in the middle of the classroom, none of the students sitting in front of, behind, or next to her had any topics to discuss with her. Alone and isolated, she stood out like a crane among chickens, and Mo Xi Wu became even more silent.

She had thought about integrating into this class, she tried to chat with them, but after a few sentences, she found that there was a huge difference between her and them. They came from the same background, discussing what expensive cosmetics they used, when they attended luxurious dinner parties with their parents, and talking about their family businesses, etc. She couldn't join in on any of these conversations, she couldn't talk to them about how many pigs her family raised or how much land they had, that would definitely make them laugh at her. Moreover, although she dressed like them, the way she spoke was with a rural accent, which would make them think differently about her. Did she have to let her last bit of self-respect be destroyed? Did she have to let them know that her family was pretending to be rich? Let them think she was a person who loved vanity? Absolutely not! Although the brand-name clothes on her body weren't what she wanted to wear, they were still a symbol of her mother's love for her. How could she let these ignorant people humiliate her?

As time went by, Mo Xi Wu also got used to it. She even liked the feeling of being forgotten by others. At least this way, she could relax and study. Touching the chain on her hand, she felt that all of this was worth it. As long as it was there, she wouldn't be lonely.

After class, the first thing was to divide into departments. The teacher conveyed the school's intention to the students. Those who wanted to take science went to Room 2 on the third floor and would be in Science Class 2 of Grade 2 from then on. Those who chose liberal arts stayed in their original classroom.

Nothing much to say about the morning class, after school in the afternoon, Mo Xi Wu came to the dormitory. The spacious dormitory was only occupied by her alone, and none of the girls in their class were willing to board. Now that liberal arts and sciences are divided, Mo Xi Wu is considering whether to move to a dormitory exclusively for science students, as this will likely become a dormitory for liberal arts students in the future.

However, without the teacher's notice, maybe there is no need to move. Perhaps in this middle school, except for her, nobody wants to live in the dormitory. It just so happens that she doesn't feel like moving either. Moving is a physically demanding task for her. Nowadays, none of the boys are willing to help girls, and those who act as gentlemen are generally fools.

After a noon break, Mo Xi Wu changed into a white shirt and jeans, tied up her long ponytail. Compared to the pink dress she wore in the morning, she preferred this simple and refreshing outfit, which was more like her original self, allowing her to find her long-lost self again.

In the first class of the afternoon, she moved into a science class on the third floor and still buried her head in silence, hoping not to be noticed by anyone.

Mo Xi Wu found a spot in the middle and sat down, then quietly raised her head. The classmates around her didn't shift their gaze due to her arrival, still chatting and laughing.

She let out a silent sigh, opened her book and scanned the entire classroom. If no one was absent, then there were 65 people in the science class, including herself, but only 7 of them were girls. This was a serious imbalance! Fortunately, among the girls, there was someone she knew, named Jiang Xiangya.

Jiang Xuya was from her original class, Mo Xiuyue didn't expect her to choose the science class, Mo Xiuyue remembered that Jiang Xuya's history and politics scores were always high, it was really beyond her expectation that she chose science. Jiang Xuya's family background is similar to other students, she looks delicate, speaks like a lark, so she has many connections, Mo Xiuyue and she haven't had more than 5 conversations, so their relationship is just average.

The other girls were all chattering around Jiang Feiya, and Mo Xiuyue knew that none of them could board at school, so they went home every night. Now they were probably discussing the TV show they watched last night. She withdrew her gaze, but inadvertently caught sight of someone.
