Water

  Water

  Water

I was born in 83, belonging to the pig, this year's five elements belong to water, all people born are water fate. So I also tied an inexplicable bond with water, wherever there is water is my lucky place, especially here got a better proof.

The monster was ready to launch an attack on me, its body motionless as it crouched, its head constantly by my side, just like a pouncing tiger. I only had this stone statue to block its way, hoping to stall for a moment. Just as I looked up at the cave entrance, it suddenly charged towards me with incredible speed, like a bullet. The stone statue in front of me was shattered, and I was also knocked to one side, but danger didn't allow me to pause for even a moment, so I rolled and crawled to hide behind another stone statue. However, it didn't give me a chance to catch my breath, charging again and shattering this statue as well. I felt terrified of its powerful impact, previously we had the upper hand only because of our hot-bloodedness and accidental luck, otherwise we would have been killed like three ants. If this monster had used such force from the beginning, killing us three would have been as easy as killing three ants.

Now, I only have one thought in my mind - escape. No matter how I can escape, what plans or methods are all nonsense. Only relying on human survival instincts to find a way out. The stone statues behind me were shattered one by one, but the monster didn't rest for half a second. Until the last statue was broken, I retreated to the end, and there was no protective barrier behind me. That monster was also panting, with sweat dripping into my eyes, not daring to wipe it away, fearing that if I relaxed slightly, I would be torn apart by this guy. However, after staring at each other for a few minutes, it didn't advance any further, maintaining the previous distance. I reached back and touched the wall behind me, only to find that I had retreated to the entrance of the tomb chamber. Perhaps there was something inside that it feared.

Just in those few minutes of pause, I saw Pong's adorable head poking out from the hole. What I need to do now is to attract the monster's attention. As Pong jumped down, the coffin also came down, and it was only then that I felt how exciting it was to have several lives intersecting with each other. The two of them slowly approached from both sides of the tunnel, during which Pong picked up the dagger that had fallen to the ground.

I cautiously took a step forward, and found that as long as I didn't leave the entrance of the tomb, the monster wouldn't pounce on me. But if I retreated, it would also retreat. So I kept advancing and retreating repeatedly, not letting it focus on what was behind it. During this stalemate, I saw a thick square stick protruding from the broken base of the stone monument on the ground, with a round disc attached to the bottom that looked like an old record. I thought to myself that maybe this was the mechanism we used to open the tomb door earlier. Suddenly, I heard the voice of the coffin in my head: "Try to drag it out, this is a matter of life and death. I and Pengpeng will open the deadbolt, but nobody knows what situation will arise from it. However, this is the only way to survive."

As they one by one pushed the standing rods to one side, getting closer and closer to this monster, my heart was beating faster and faster. A loud crash, the ground beneath our feet suddenly sank down, everyone stumbled and sat on the ground. The entire passageway fell straight down, except for the tomb entrance where I stood. Water sprayed out from the edges all around, like a fountain that wouldn't stop. The monster gave up watching me, turned around possibly wanting to escape, but discovered Pengpeng still fiddling with the last few mechanisms, it seemed to understand something, let out another loud roar and charged towards the coffin like flying.

The passageway under our feet had only descended half a meter before stopping, but the water was still surging up relentlessly, and it had already flooded to our calves. Perhaps the water had slowed down its attack, after the coffin was placed on the left side of the last mechanism, one of them rolled away to dodge the incoming fist. I also ran down to help Peng press down the remaining wooden bars on the right side.

Fortunately, with the coffin and its surroundings, we didn't face much threat and were able to trigger the last mechanism. But the water started flowing even more fiercely. I think that all the streams and waterways we've seen along the way must be stored water here, also the last trick left by the people of the world. With our path cut off, this tomb chamber will be forever sealed underground.

As we spoke, the water had already flooded to our thighs, and it was a bit difficult for us to move around. However, our old nemesis was still relentlessly attacking us. Fortunately, it couldn't take advantage of its speed in the water, and with one less leg, it couldn't jump up either, so we were able to dodge left and right to save our lives.

"It's time to put an end to this old nemesis of ours. If we keep fighting like this, we'll either be beaten to death or drowned here. Why not make a final stand and eliminate the problem once and for all?" I said.

"It's just as I thought, this bird pattern is still on its body, if we don't kill it, we'll definitely not get it." Coffin laughed.

"What's there to say? Come on, in the water this big guy can't compare to our agility." Pengpeng rolled up his sleeves.
