  The Huang Temple was once called the Jade Spring Temple. According to legend, when Emperor Shun of Yuan was being pursued by Ming general Zhu Hongwu, he took refuge near the Jade Spring Temple. However, Zhu Hongwu rested his troops and fed his horses within the temple, so later on the temple was renamed Huang Temple. The Huang Temple was originally built during the Tang Dynasty but was rebuilt during the Yuan Dynasty. The main hall and side halls are grand and majestic, with a brick-wood structure, carved beams and painted rafters all having the style of the Yuan Dynasty, which is rarely seen in modern times.

  "Now that we know this, when shall we set off?" I asked.
