Chapter 4: Women and Forced Demolition
Qin Zhong sat in the chair, seemingly feeling the state of his grandfather and father sitting here before. He didn't know if he should continue his grandfather's and father's profession, but seeing his grandfather's notes stopped halfway through.
However, from Grandpa's notes, it can be seen that Grandpa himself had experienced Manchukuo, but in order to find some evidence of the history of Manchukuo, he was not afraid of strange events and dangers, and persisted in investigating, but to no avail, only just getting started.
Qin Zhong looked at the last few sentences of the note: "I, a humble person, have an inauspicious eight-character name, and strange events may not be handled properly. I hope that in the future there will be someone with a more auspicious eight-character name to fulfill my wish."
In order to find the difference between the heavy and light eight characters, Qin Zhong searched through his grandfather's bookcase and finally found his grandfather's records on a book. The light eight characters can see yin souls, ghosts and monsters, and encounter strange things.
Qin Zhong's forehead was sweating: "Heavens, don't be so unlucky, actually being able to see ghosts?"
"Huh?" Qin Zhong suddenly felt that someone was behind him, at the door. He quickly turned his head, but there was nothing in the room, just like when he first arrived. The only thing different was a weak ray of sunlight from the setting sun shining through the corridor window onto the floor.
Qin Zhong's heart was filled with doubts, what's going on? How come it's been so long, is it time to get off work? He lowered his head and started packing up the things in the bookcase, but he secretly put grandfather's notes into his pocket, because at this moment he decided to complete all the unfinished records on grandfather's notes.
But just as he was about to lock the door, a shadow suddenly appeared beside him. It was a woman with disheveled long hair that seemed to obscure her face, wearing a white long gown with what looked like bloodstains on it, and on her feet were two different slippers.
Qin Zhong took a deep breath, no way, he had just found out that his eight characters were light enough to see ghosts, and now he saw one? It wasn't even dark yet, this couldn't be happening, he had never seen a ghost before, if the other party was really a ghost, then he would have to fight with it.
The woman stretched out her own hands, and those seemingly tender hands were also stained with blood.
Qin Zhong raised his spirits and carefully observed the other party's every move, while his hand reached into Grandfather's drawer.
The girl's outstretched hand slowly beckoned Qin Zhong over. Finally, the woman spoke up in a ghostly, mournful voice that sent shivers down his spine: "Come here!"
The sound was drawn out, Qin Zhong's nervous reflex scratched his head. Only after reading Grandpa's notes and learning some of the ghost's characteristics did he feel that the person in front of him looked like a ghost. He gripped the antique knife tightly from the drawer, using an antique to hack at people, which was truly luxurious.
"Hey, what do you want?"
"Oh!" The woman's voice suddenly changed, sounding painful. She suddenly squatted down, holding the bloody wound on her forehead: "Big brother, can you give me a band-aid?"
Qin Zhong heard this and thought to himself, "A ghost is asking me for something? A band-aid? I don't have one." He looked at the woman's hand and saw that the bloodstain seemed real and still fresh. The sunlight from the corridor cast a long shadow behind her.
"What the hell is this woman, isn't she just a person? Qin Zhong sneered and released the knife in his hand, saying disdainfully: "Hey, your acting skills are too bad, the ghost voice is pulled too long, not professional enough."
The woman tossed her hair, revealing his true face, and limped into Grandpa's office: "Hey, what are you talking about? I just asked if you have any band-aids, my leg is broken."
"What kind of woman are you, how can you just barge into someone else's house and rummage through their office so casually? Hasn't anyone ever taught you what manners are?" Qin Zhong seemed to be lecturing the woman.
"What a crappy place this is, you don't even have a band-aid, what if you get a nosebleed one day?"
Qin Zhong rubbed his head, looking surprised and said: "Do you need to use a band-aid for a nosebleed?" As he spoke, he really took a good look at the woman's face, and she was indeed a beauty, with clear eyebrows, a round face, natural blush on her cheeks, a button nose, and cherry lips.
But a woman with such a temperament, Qin Zhong said that even if he died, he couldn't stand it. Just looking at the pair of slippers she was wearing, which didn't match her outfit at all, made him feel somewhat distressed. Whoever marries a wife like this and brings her home will surely be worried to death.
"Huh? You actually know that you don't need a band-aid for a nosebleed. I thought you were like those silly birds." the woman said.
Qin Zhong's expression turned serious, as if he was going to take advantage of her: "Huh? Want uncle to help you check your body?"
The woman suddenly froze, she hadn't expected Qin Zhong to also come up with this move, which made her unexpected, but this kind of woman was not willing to admit defeat, she puffed out her chest: "What's going on, you dare to make a move, come and check!"
Qin Zhong looked at the girl's chest, which was bulging up and down, and suddenly felt a heat in his "human center", as if he wanted to stand up. He easily suppressed the hormone secreted by his prostate gland, lightly coughing: "Cough, you don't wear underwear every time you go out? Forget it, forget it, I admit defeat, I'll go find band-aids for you, I'm going to lock the door."
The woman's face, which was already slightly flushed, turned completely red this time. She suddenly wrapped her hands around the two large bulges in front of her and immediately turned her head to face away from Qin Zhong, standing with her back to him and facing the window. She muttered to herself: "I'm so humiliated." He then loudly said: "I can't get out, my hands won't let go, and your broken door has cut my leg. No matter what, you have to find a way to send me back."
Qin Zhong scratched his head, isn't this being unreasonable with himself? Where did this wild girl come from?
Just as the two people seemed to be flirting, the woman's expression suddenly changed. She stared out of the window, her face gradually turning into a very angry look: "You bunch of bastards, you've been chasing me from my home to here, I'll fight you to the death." She shouted at the top of her lungs, pointing at a group of people outside the window: "Don't you have any regard for the law? This is national land, our historical heritage, do you want to demolish it?"
Qin Zhong heard the sound change, and outside came a mechanical rumbling sound, which should be the sound of an excavator. It seems that they are indeed here to demolish the house. He casually put the knife on the table into his pocket.
He leaned over to the bedside, his head slightly sinking. Fortunately, the woman took good care of him and didn't see anything, but a pile of white flesh on top was quite enticing: "Hey, who's outside?"
"The demolition team, a few thugs hired by the developer from the underworld, bully people every day." The woman said, pulling Qin Zhong's hand: "Go, they've come to demolish your old building this time, don't you go take a look?"
"Take a look? Can taking a look solve the problem?"
"Don't even look at the rice bowl, it's almost gone, what are you hesitating for?" The woman was indeed efficient in handling things, she put down her own chest and rushed out with a thud.
Qin Zhong looked like he wanted to laugh, but didn't have the nerve. He rummaged through his hair and pulled out a pack of wet wipes: "Here, wipe off the blood first."
The woman didn't hesitate, grabbed all the wet wipes and went downstairs.
Qin Zhong locked the door and went downstairs, swaying. By rights, such things should be handled by Fang Shu, the director of the museum, but now there was only him left in the museum. He didn't know where Fang Shu had gone at this time. Usually, he would have finished work at this hour. At the entrance, only an old man who beat the gong was left.
The woman bent down, seemingly doing something, then straightened up her chest, with both hands on her waist, standing fiercely in front of the archive building's entrance. She glared at the dozens of people who came to forcibly demolish it: "Come on, you can try to demolish it, I dare you to step forward in front of me! I don't believe that my dad, with tens of thousands of followers in Andong City, can't deal with a few bastards like you!"
The woman's words left the thugs at the door stunned.
