Chapter 3: The Absolutely Beautiful Body
"Is that all?" Linglong stood up, not wanting to accompany Song Xin and the others in this boring game anymore. Although she knew it would offend people, she still bluntly gave the order to leave, unwilling to be influenced by their consciousness, and didn't want to be scared by the terrifying atmosphere they had worked hard to create. "These ghost stories are really interesting, but unfortunately I'm tired. Can we talk about it tomorrow?"
"Ah, disturbing Xiao Cheng's rest, others won't be happy." Song Xin said somewhat unhappily, "Let's go, we still have to get up early tomorrow. However, Xiao Cheng, you living alone here makes me a bit uneasy, be careful, in an unfamiliar place, who knows what might happen?"
She stood up and walked out, her entourage also bidding farewell to Linglong with a few words of small talk before disappearing at the entrance. Linglong let out a long sigh, feeling that her room had been ravaged like a swarm of locusts, devouring the peace and tranquility she had just enjoyed, leaving no trace behind. She couldn't help but secretly lament, wondering if it was a good idea to follow them on this trip just to prove a point.
She stood still for a while, then couldn't help but shine the light under the "bed" and saw that it was empty except for her pair of sports shoes. This made her breathe a sigh of relief and mock herself severely before calming down again. However, after this commotion, she no longer had the mood to listen to music and could only turn off the lights and go to sleep. But the more she emphasized to herself not to think about those two stories, the more they replayed in her mind like a movie, and even became vivid and bloody scenes in her imagination.
It was just so dazed and confused, every time she was about to fall asleep, some subtle sounds made her wake up immediately. It wasn't a big sound, just the gentle rustling of the window frames by the night wind, the faint chirping of insects, and the occasional "creak" of wooden furniture. But it was these sounds that disturbed Linglong from entering deep sleep in this unusually quiet night, although she was half asleep and half awake, her senses were extremely sharp.
Good heavens, spare me!
She helplessly turned over, but suddenly felt that the 'door' moved a little!
It's not what she saw, but what she "felt", because her eyes were closed all along.
Then, the 'door' opened silently. A pair of hands appeared on the door frame, with extremely beautiful hand shape, painted with bright red nail polish, and a silver ring carved with a wolf head on the left ring finger. These hands repeatedly felt around the wooden door frame, making a slight rubbing sound, as if a blind person couldn't see the road, using their hands to explore the path ahead.
Her heart suddenly contracted, hiding in the quilt and holding her breath, not daring to move or open her eyes, but the scenes flashed clearly in her mind.
She felt around for a while, then slowly poked her head out.
It's a woman, completely naked, with a beautiful and plump figure under the moonlight - full and round breasts, slender and soft waist, firm abdominal lines, long but fleshy legs, everything is perfect, except for one thing that's not good, she has no head, just a woman's body!
She moved towards Ling with the elegance and silence of a cat, her snow-white feet seemingly gliding across the ground with lightness, but before she could take three steps, she vanished into thin air!
Linglong suddenly felt a void beneath her and woke up with a start, opening her eyes wide.
On the ground in front of the bed, the moonlight shone obliquely on the ground, casting a shadow of the eaves, but there was no headless woman.
It was just a dream!
She let out a sigh of relief.
It must have been those few 'bastards' who just told the story that entered her subconscious, making her have this strange dream. Nothing, nothing, continue sleeping. She comforted herself, turned over and slept again. But for some reason, her ears kept perking up automatically, feeling like something was walking towards her step by step, even though there was no sound in the room. It wasn't until after a long time that she gradually fell asleep, but then the 'door' was opened again.
Her face is now towards the wall, but she still clearly "sees" the hand on the edge of the 'door' and the same 'female' body.
The 'woman' body still walked towards Linglong, but this time she took a few more steps and walked to the middle of the house before gradually becoming transparent and disappearing like mist. Moreover, because she got closer, Linglong saw that on the left rib of the 'woman' body there was a palm-sized red mark in the shape of a maple leaf, it was unknown whether it was a birthmark or something else.
Linglong woke up with a start again, her heart almost stopping. Was it really just a dream? Why did it feel so real? Was the psychological suggestion she had received that deep? Or...
She couldn't sleep anymore. At first she didn't dare get out of bed, but finally she mustered up the courage to get up and turned on that emergency light.
The emergency light only shines in a limited range, unable to illuminate the entire room, making those old furniture look somewhat eerie and shadowy in the dimness. At this moment, Ling's suspicious heart makes her feel even more spooky.
She stared at the door, her heart racing with fear, afraid that a headless woman would really open the door and come in. Her eyes were sore from staring, and she thought about going to the main house hundreds of times, but she didn't want to be laughed at by Song Xin and others. So she sat on the bed, wrapped in her quilt, stubbornly holding on, praying for the dawn to arrive soon.
Dang dang dang――
Suddenly, a bell rang from the corner, scaring Linglong almost falling off the 'bed'. There was indeed an old clock in this room, but it had been still since she entered, not making a single sound. Why did it suddenly ring again? And now it's already 3 o'clock in the middle of the night?
She trembled and took the lamp to shine on her watch, it was indeed three o'clock. Shining again at the corner where the sound came from, the old-fashioned grandfather clock was indeed placed on a broken wooden chair, but there were no hour or minute hands, nor a pendulum, how could it strike?!
Suddenly, Linglong felt a gust of wind blowing from the 'door' and messing up her hair. She subconsciously turned her head to look, and the scene at the edge of the 'door' almost made her scream, and the lamp in her hand nearly fell to the ground!
That stunning 'girl' appeared again, still searching around the door frame for a while before walking into the room, as if repeating some kind of program. Only this time, she didn't disappear out of thin air like the previous two times, but instead walked all the way to the bedside!
Linglong's whole body was icy cold, shrinking in the corner without even daring to breathe, completely stunned. She saw that "woman" getting closer and closer, the moonlight casting a shadow on her body. At this time, she walked to the bedside and suddenly squatted down! Then, a rustling sound came - she had crawled under Linglong's bed.
Linglong couldn't bear it anymore, jumped down from the 'bed' and ran, but was caught by two beautiful hands that suddenly stretched out from under the 'bed', grabbing her ankle. With a "thud", she fell to the ground, her elbow directly hitting the floor, hurting so much that she let out an "ah" of pain.
She woke up with a start again!
It's just another dream!
A chill ran down her body, and her elbow hurt nonstop. She looked around and found herself in a familiar environment, but she was lying on the ground, apparently having fallen off the "bed" due to the nightmare just now.
She got up, turned on the emergency light. Although she woke up from the dream, fear still lingered. The dream was too real, and she could even feel the hands grasping her ankles!
She stood barefoot on the brick floor, hesitantly holding a lamp to illuminate every nook and cranny: the door, the clock, the furniture... nothing was there. So, what about under the bed? Was something hiding under her bed, staring at her feet, thinking of how to grab her? If she bent down to look, would she see another woman also looking back at her?
