Chapter 9: Corpse of the Snake

  I heard a sound of the door behind me, I turned back to take a look and found that the passage which was still slightly ajar just now had been completely closed, in less than ten seconds after we came out.

  Li Wei also turned his head back, but he saw something different from me. After the passage was fully closed, he vaguely saw a skull-like thing walking over.

  "What are you looking at?" I asked Li Wei, who was staring intently at the already closed passageway.

  "This is a snake corpse." Cao Ming said, firing another shot. The huge recoil of the Desert Eagle made Cao Ming rest for a while after each shot.

  I stared at this strange thing in front of me and muttered: "Snake corpse? What's the story?"

  "The snake corpse is actually a kind of corpse, it's just being controlled by the snake, that's why it's called a snake corpse." Cao Ming cautiously looked at the not-so-distant snake corpse and took the opportunity to explain to me.

  "No wonder there was something on his head that looked like a snake. It turns out he was controlled by the snake." Li Wei said, looking at the snake's corpse not far away.

  I chuckled and started rummaging through my backpack.

  I took things out of my backpack
