Yin Yang Eyes 024
I only felt a chill run down my spine, and I turned around to see a boy of five or six years old sitting in the back seat. He was wearing a red jacket that looked like it was from the Republic of China era. His face was deathly pale, which reminded me of what Xue Lang said about me - "ghostly aura".
The little boy's mouth opened and closed, his tone of voice was like that of an old man who had experienced much hardship, saying: "You can see me! I've been here for almost a hundred years..."
"Ahh! Ge Fei! There's a ghost in your car!" I reflexively shrieked. Although I've encountered many unbelievable things over the past two days, being confronted with a ghost so early in the morning still scared me out of my wits. Damn it, ghosts really don't just come out at night after all.
Ge Fei touched the steering wheel and said without looking back: "Get out..."
"Stingy ghost..." The little boy muttered a sentence and then disappeared into thin air.
When the car drove out of the underground garage, Ge Fei looked at the security room in front and said: "Lin Sijia, do you see anything?"
"Uh-huh, there's a woman next to the security guard." I replied casually without thinking.
"It's a female ghost..."
I took a closer look and saw that the woman's feet were floating in mid-air, and she didn't even have a shadow. My hair stood on end instantly.
"It's a vengeful spirit, nothing to be afraid of." Ge Fei said calmly, and then added: "Lin Sijia, you're not someone with yin-yang eyes, are you?"
He hadn't even finished speaking when he said another sentence: "Perhaps you are yīn-yáng-jiàn..." His words carried a hint of doubt.
Yin-yang eyes! It's really a born-to-see-ghosts fate. Although I've never seen yin-yang eyes before, I still know what they are - those kinds of eyes that can see strange things.
"Yin and yang eyes? You think you're acting in a TV drama!" I chuckled, although I was laughing, but my laughter was so fake! To put it bluntly, my face twitched.
Ge Fei smiled and said: "Even someone like me you've met, what's impossible anymore? Only... I remember you used to be invisible, right?"
"It's all because I met you that I've encountered such weird things, and now I don't even have a job..." I muttered under my breath.
Ge Fei glanced at me and said with a mischievous tone, "Seems like it, eh? Well, you'd better be careful then! Who knows, maybe tomorrow you'll run into a zombie!"
"Shut up." I glared at him and muttered.
"Either a crow's mouth or a godly calculator, it will be clear when we arrive at the Fang residence."
"Aren't we going to see He Yichu?" I suddenly felt depressed, I thought today was going to see He Yichu, yesterday he made an appointment with something that looked very high-end, it turned out to be Fang's house.
Ge Fei's eyes looked ahead, with a hint of a smile: "How... did you think I'd take you to meet He Yi Chu? I know his son, but not him."
"Are you very familiar with the Fang family?" I was puzzled, wasn't he the young master of the Xu family? It should be easy to meet He Yi Chu.
Ge Fei's handsome face floated up with a pleased smile: "Of course, the Xu and Fang families have been friends for generations."
"Hmm... I thought you were bragging!" What I said was the truth, when he told me he was a young master of the Xu family before, I felt that he was bragging, until I secretly searched online and believed it. Yesterday, when he said his family and Fang's family had known each other for generations, I also thought he was bragging, intentionally saying it to Fang Zhi-ling.
Ge Fei's eyebrows furrowed: "Do I look like someone who brags? It's really..."
I didn't respond, I just silently nodded my head. Probably because it was broad daylight and we were on the main street, or maybe for other reasons, I wasn't as afraid of Ge Fei as I was yesterday. Even though I knew in my heart that he might be what Xue Lang said - half human, half ghost.
Ge Fei's residence is in the city center, not far from Yulin but also not close, after being stuck in traffic and taking about two hours to arrive at Fang's house.
What caught my eye was a quaint and elegant villa, from afar it looked like the mansion of some prince in the late Qing dynasty. Of course, its size couldn't compare to that of a prince's mansion; no matter how wealthy one is in this era, they still can't surpass those ancient emperors and princes.
As he walked up to the dark red gate, the sign above it caught his eye with two words "Fang Residence". Ge Fei pressed the doorbell and a middle-aged man came out from inside. Upon seeing Ge Fei, he bowed: "Young Master Xu, you've arrived. Our old master has been waiting for you inside for quite some time."
What's with the honorifics? You're speaking as if Ge Fei is the elder.
