Twenty-Nine Outer Bonds Seal

  Twenty-Nine Outer Wrapping Seal

That skull emerged from the cave and rushed straight at Cheng Jun's face with a thick smoke.

Cheng Jun's face sank like water, his eyes saw the dark light had already surrounded this small courtyard. His hand formed a seal, and a golden light condensed. He stretched out his hand in mid-air to strike, his tongue burst forth with spring thunder, shouting: "Lin---"

This one word was spat out, like the drumming of a morning bell, carrying endless majesty and solemnity, striking at people's hearts.

A golden light unfolded in the air, striking the black gas above, tearing open a gap in the thick black smoke, and bursting out with a ray of light in the dense darkness. Cheng Jun's body was like lightning, flashing through the narrow slit without hesitation, jumping out of the range covered by the black smoke, relying on inertia to glide forward for several meters, and landing firmly on the wall head.

Buddhist Dharani - Nine-character True Word Mudra.

It's not that he deliberately disguised himself as a monk, using Buddhist magic, but rather the Taoist technique used too much of the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. The spiritual energy here was affected by the evil spirit array, making it difficult to call upon, while the Buddhist magic was less restricted. Moreover, Buddhism is all about great compassion and benevolence, which is precisely the nemesis of demonic and evil techniques.

Cheng Jun, having lived for so many years, has dabbled in the techniques of various schools outside of Taoism. However, due to Buddhism being the least compatible with Taoism, he is not well-versed in it. In a pinch, the only pure and effective true word hand seal that comes to mind is the "Kai" character outer binding seal.

Rather than saying it's one, it would be better to say it's a residual impression of one-ninth.

The Mudras of the True Word, although only nine characters and nine hand seals - "臨、兵、斗、者、皆、列、阵、前、行", are the deepest and highest peak of Buddhist mudra Dharma. The Buddha's teachings and cultivation contained within can be said to be boundless and bottomless. Even if one were to spend hundreds of years studying them, it is still uncertain whether they would be able to fully grasp them.

Moreover, although these nine handprints still circulate in the world, most of them are incomplete or even misinterpreted. By chance, Cheng Jun obtained one of them, which is the "Jie" character outer seal print, a purely authentic original Sanskrit technique that differs from the incorrect versions circulating outside. His magical powers were vast and boundless like a sea of smoke, but when he saw this majestic and powerful Buddhist dharma seal, he couldn't help but feel delighted and studied it carefully. Now in this critical moment, he naturally used it, although its power was not as great as when he had previously demonstrated it, but it was enough to temporarily repel the strong enemy.

This Buddhist technique doesn't rely on the spiritual energy of heaven and earth, but instead relies on one's own cultivation to forcefully push it out. After Program Jun's first strike, his magical power was depleted by more than half, and he didn't have the strength for a second strike, so he stood on the wall, slowly regulating his breath.

That skull spun in the air, its empty eye sockets staring at Cheng Jun, but it didn't continue to follow him. Suddenly, it opened its mouth and burst out laughing, saying: "Where did this little monk come from? The people of Wan Ma Temple are back again?"

Cheng Jun was wearing a monk's robe and had made some light makeup on his face, which was not easily recognizable in the dark night. Moreover, the handprint just now was indeed a serious Buddhist Dharma, so the skull, although experienced, did not notice that he was a monk from Wan Ma Temple.

Cheng Jun Dao said, "Is it really your family's Buddha? Are you the demon head who has occupied our Wan Ma Temple?" As he spoke, he weighed this demon head in his mind. The demon head's true strength had only revealed a corner of the iceberg, but Cheng Jun was certain that although it had spent countless years in the Nourishing Soul Wood and had weakened by eight or nine parts out of ten, it still surpassed him. Although he had many methods at his disposal, this old demon was not one to be underestimated; fundamentally, they were the same - having once dominated the world, only to fall from the clouds now, with methods but no cultivation. The only difference was that the other party's cultivation was above his own.

It's not that he's not panicked, it's just that Cheng Jun's city is extremely deep, and his face only has a faint sense of pride and righteousness, with no other emotions whatsoever.

That skull let out a strange laugh and said, "Looking at you, you've actually learned such profound magic, I suppose you're not from the Temple of Ten Thousand Horses. At least you're an orthodox Buddhist, perhaps you're a helper invited by the Temple of Ten Thousand Horses?"

Cheng Jun said calmly, "What business is it of yours where I come from? The Buddhist sect cannot tolerate the pollution of demons and monsters." As he spoke, he quietly circulated his true energy, preparing for his next move. He knew that the old demon would also be doing the same, and the two of them were just exchanging idle chatter to stall for time, preparing for their next strike. Who would benefit from this delay would depend on the outcome of their upcoming battle.

  Alright——

Cheng Jun smiled, just then, only to hear the old demon coldly laugh and say: "Since that's the case, you give me..." Both sides simultaneously trembled, about to erupt, when suddenly, a person was heard wailing: "Demon Lord, Demon Lord save me!"

Cheng Jun heard the words, although distracted, his body didn't move slightly, only a glance at the corner of his eye, saw a cloud of smoke and dust rolling over in the distance, a person pushed open the door and came in, shouting loudly, it was that Yue Hua Daoist.

At this time, Yue Hua Dao Ren was no longer as divine as he used to be. He had disheveled hair and tattered clothes, with half of his pants torn and a dangled sword in his hand - it wasn't worth him not throwing it away. As he rushed in, he loudly shouted: "Master Demon, save me! Master Demon, save me!"

The demon lord was taken aback, and when he turned to look behind him, he saw a monk chasing after him. Although the monk's stature wasn't particularly impressive, his entire body radiated an aura of ferocity. With his staff flying about, he bellowed: "You wicked creature, don't even think about escaping! Today, not even the Ten Kings of Hell could save you!"

That demon head turned back to look at Yue Hua Lao Dao, and couldn't help but be slightly stunned. Cheng Jun didn't wait for him to come back to his senses, the golden light in his hand surged, and with a sudden sound, a bolt of lightning attached itself to the seal knife in his hand. The three-foot white blade turned into a three-foot golden blade. Cheng Jun raised his hand, and the seal knife transformed into a ball of golden light, which fiercely crashed towards that old demon.

Cheng Jun's move was also a variant of Palm Thunder, but it was achieved through the compression of pure true energy, layer by layer, to increase its power, making it a higher-level technique.

In theory, the power of this move is infinite. As long as there is true energy, you can add as many layers as you want, and if you add more, it's not impossible to split mountains and rivers. However, Cheng Jun didn't have that much true energy, and his iron sword was only made of ordinary iron, which couldn't withstand much power. He was currently in the midst of the Array of Dispelling Spirits, where no matter what magical techniques he used, they couldn't reach far, and he could only rely on external forces. The only thing he could borrow was this steel knife in his hand, leaving him no time to hesitate, so he threw it out. That old demon didn't have a physical body, if there was only one steel knife, it wouldn't even touch the demon's body, only the lightning attached to it, which was also the bane of evil demons, could be effective.

One sword flashed with lightning and rolled away, Cheng Jun didn't even look at the result, directly jumped down the wall, but didn't go out. A swift shadow like cyan smoke passed through the courtyard, rolling into a hole in the ground, which was exactly where Lao Mo had just come out.

This was something he had anticipated long ago, regardless of whether the monk came or not. After entering, he immediately closed the door behind him and heard a miserable cry outside - it was the miserable cry of Lao Mo after being struck by the Thunder Knife. Because Cheng Jun's speed was too fast, until now when he entered the underground cave, there was a miserable cry that came in.

Cheng Jun's experience was rich, and as soon as he heard the miserable cry, he secretly thought: Good devil, this is impressive! I'm 80% sure that my true energy was on the lightning just now, but this time it didn't even hurt him. He immediately turned his head and walked down along the tunnel. Only to hear the monk outside shouting: "Devil, take my Zen stick!" The sound of fighting outside was loud, presumably the monk and the old devil had already started fighting.

Cheng Jun didn't care about the commotion outside, and continued to head down. The originally dim tunnel was now even darker, with a faint black mist lingering in the air that hadn't dissipated. After walking for a while, they arrived at the end, where there was an iron wall, which was where Song Niang was being held.

At this time, a person fell in front of the iron wall. It was Chunfeng, lying on his back with no signs of life. Cheng Jun examined him carefully and found that although his face was covered with dark energy, his corpse was intact. He secretly sneered to himself - that old demon really didn't want to give up, even leaving this corpse behind.

Cheng Jun's eyes swept across, and indeed saw what he was looking for on the ground - that black wooden sword where the old demon resided.

He picked up the ebony sword in front of him, and as he stroked its body with his hand, he felt that the vitality within it was losing more and more. He thought to himself: This old demon's fate has come to an end. I don't need to do anything, just leave this wooden sword alone, at most a short period of time, and he will inevitably scatter his soul. Unfortunately, today is not the day he dies a natural death.

Just as he was about to leave with his wooden sword in hand, a woman's voice came from behind the iron wall: "Chunfeng... what just happened? How is it outside?"

Cheng Jun recognized the voice as Song Yunjiang's, knowing she was fine, slightly relieved, and suddenly wondered: This is strange, her voice is still so clear, didn't she get hurt at all?

As he turned his head, he saw a protective charm nailed to the iron wall, emitting a faint yellow glow that formed a protective shield on the iron wall, which was not there when he first saw it. His heart skipped a beat as he thought: Could it be that Spring Breeze had given her his own protective talisman in his final moments? If so, Spring Breeze's selfless act would shine brightly for all eternity, and would add a final touch of brilliance to his life.

That thought flashed through his mind like lightning, and Cheng Jun had already thrown it behind him, saying: "Song Daoyou."

Song Yun Jiang exclaimed, "You are... that Daoist friend. Have you come to rescue us?" His tone was filled with great joy.

"Wait a moment, fellow Taoist," said Cheng Jun, "I'll go and capture that demon head and then we can talk." Without saying more, he hastily mounted the stairs with his wooden sword in hand. When he reached the door, he heard the sound of fighting outside, still fierce and intense.

Pushing open the large gate, Cheng Jun took a glance at the battlefield in front of him and saw that the monk was standing on the wall where he had just been standing. His hands were empty, but the Zen staff was raised high in the air, fighting against the black smoke that had transformed into the old demon. The battle was intense and fierce, and Cheng Jun's gaze swept around, but he couldn't see any sign of Lao Dao.

At this moment, the old demon suddenly shouted: "You all go to death..." Suddenly, the magic energy surged, a mouthful of black air spewed out, blowing the Zen stick open several feet away. Its body transformed into a skull and went alone to take that monk.

The monk shouted: "Good magic head -" Before he could turn around, he loudly shouted: "Humph!" A single syllable of Sanskrit was emitted, like the roar of a diamond, transforming into a wall of light that blocked his side.

That old devil didn't dodge, and charged straight ahead. With a crash on the light membrane, there was a burst of ear-piercing screeching sounds. The light membrane flickered several times before dissipating into thin air.

That old demon was unimpeded, and heavily crashed into the monk's body. Just as he was about to swallow him into the dark fog, a voice from the side shouted: "Old Demon, it's dawn!"
