Endless waters flowing east

The final payment is made in RMB (Chinese currency).

Liu Zhi now is in the south of Qiannan City, still more than ten kilometers away from Qiannan City on a mountain. This mountain is one of the higher ones among the surrounding peaks. The peak is steep and no one has ever climbed up here before. Liu Zhi had to climb with great difficulty to get here. There is a small cave here, not very deep, it's a natural stone cave, only about 20-30 feet away from the top of the peak.

Liu Zhi entered the mountain cave, which was exactly what he needed. He came here to actually use the Five Ghosts Yin Soldier Technique to deal with Hu Changtan.

Hu Changtan surprisingly asked the local big brother to take action, wanting to teach Liu Zhizhi a lesson. Liu Zhizhi, of course, would not let him off, and as his kung fu skills deepened, the character of a martial artist became more apparent. He had a strong sense of revenge, and even at the slightest provocation, he would fight to the death. At this point, Liu Zhizhi was no longer surprised by this behavior and did not think deeply about it. In fact, people who practice martial arts or cultivate their minds often go through a stage like this, which is a kind of demonic tribulation. When one's thoughts are not in harmony and their ambitions are not fulfilled, they may become depressed and irritable, prone to solving problems with violence. If one can pass through this stage, their character will become more even-tempered. For martial artists, it is easy to engage in a fight at the slightest provocation. For cultivators, however, this tribulation is even more severe, manifesting differently in each person. Some may become disillusioned with the world and want to leave it behind to cultivate their minds. Others may have an intense desire for fame, wealth, and power. Liu Zhizhi's case was typical of those who focus on martial arts - he would lash out violently at the slightest provocation. If one can overcome this tribulation, their progress will be rapid. If not, they may make little or no progress in the future, or even abandon their practice altogether.

Liu Zhi knows no one to guide, unknowingly, whether it's cultivation or martial arts, they all enter this stage. If there is a master to guide, through some mantra recitation, such as the Clear Mind Mantra, and self-reflection on their actions, understanding the principles, even temporarily hiding in the deep mountains to avoid worldly affairs, to get through this ordeal.

Liu Zhi didn't know about this matter, and Liu Xing Shu also didn't know about it back then. Of course, he had gone through this stage as well, but due to special circumstances, the country's "Four Olds" political movement suppressed Liu Xing Shu's cultivation, causing him to make little progress in his lifetime. As a result, Liu Xing Shu wasn't clear about it either, and naturally couldn't tell Liu Zhi. Liu Zhi unintentionally reached this level, which can be said to be the true entrance to the gate of cultivation. If one cannot pass through this stage, then they are destined to have no affinity with cultivation.

The first pass of the alchemical practice is the Refining Self Pass. If one's self is not refined to purity, the Golden Elixir will be unattainable. Unbeknownst to himself, Liu Zhi Zhong has taken another path, a path similar to that of demonic cultivation. With something on his mind, he follows his heart's desire and acts accordingly. Although there may be hope for success, it is extremely perilous, to the point where it can be said that it cannot coexist with worldly society or the cultivation world.

In the secular world, disregarding the law, using sorcery to harm people at will is a major taboo of successive dynasties. If the government finds out, it will definitely use all its might to capture and kill them. In the cultivation world, if they find out that this move violates the principle of not interfering with the secular world with sorcery, cultivators who see it will also want to eliminate the demon. All of these things, Liu Zhi didn't know.

Liu Zhi knew that Hu Changtan had actually colluded with Big Brother Bao, letting the hooligans come and teach him a lesson. At that time, there was no open fire, fortunately, it was surrounded by a group of primary school students, he didn't kill anyone, but he would not let go of these three little rascals and Bao Ge, so he secretly hypnotized the three hooligans. His hypnosis technique had actually departed from the category of Western hypnosis, unknowingly combining techniques, which should be called soul-mesmerizing technique.

Three hooligans were hypnotized by Liu Zhiyi, who planted a suggestion in their subconscious that Bao Ge was their arch-nemesis, and even killing their parents would not be enough. Liu Zhiyi hinted that as soon as they saw Bao Ge, they would immediately become enraged and kill each other with knives. After hypnosis, Liu Zhiyi released the three men. It took only one or two breaths for Liu Zhiyi to knock them down, but it seemed like a long time had passed. The classmates looked at Teacher Liu with admiring eyes. Helplessly, Liu Zhiyi promised to teach them martial arts in physical education class, and the students dispersed with cheers. Liu Zhiyi also thought that teaching them some basic moves would be a good way to exercise their bodies.

That night, a bloody case occurred in Qiannan City. The big boss of Qiannan City, the owner of Guiyun Le Entertainment City, Qiang Longbao, also known as Boss Bao, was hacked to death by three underlings with knives in a KTV. These three underlings were also hacked to death by other thugs. The public security department was busy and overwhelmed, while ordinary citizens heard the news and applauded with joy.

Hu Changtan was shocked by the news. He had asked Bao Ge to help teach Liu Zhi a lesson just last night, but now Bao Ge had been killed by his own men. It seemed that Liu Zhi's luck was too good and his own luck was too bad. He needed to hurry up and ask Li Shenxian, the great master, to take a look and improve his luck for this period of time. He had never thought that Liu Zhi would be involved in this, but rather thought that he hadn't taken action yet, but now Bao Ge was dead. It seemed that he still needed to think of a way to teach Liu Zhi a lesson.

Liu Zhi knew asked the principal for a leave of absence on the second day, saying that he had to go to the city to take care of something. As Liu Zhi was a special case, although there were few teachers in the school, they had a very harmonious relationship and often substituted classes for each other. If someone had something to do, it was enough to just mention it to others.

Liu Zhi's technique of driving the five ghosts to harm people has a certain distance limit, and it is not possible to do so from thousands of miles away. The harm caused is invisible, and he can only achieve better results within a hundred miles. The closer the distance, the better. It was difficult to find an undisturbed place in the city, so he came to the outskirts of Qiannan City and found a suitable location for his spell.

Liu Zhi found a cave, entered the cave, and the sun had already begun to set. He calmed his emotions, sat cross-legged on the ground, and chanted incantations. A dark wind appeared in the cave, and Liu Zhi let out a soft shout. The five elements of his body responded to the five ghosts, dispatching them to do his bidding. Normally, this wouldn't affect his own body, but since it did, the power was even greater. He could control the process at will, but there was one drawback: if the spell was broken, he would suffer a backlash. Liu Zhi didn't think that a corrupt official like him had any powerful sorcerers around him. Moreover, being in a desperate situation made his actions seem even more vicious and sinister.

As long as it's within a certain range, the five ghosts will naturally find their target according to Liu Zhi's intention, no matter where the target is. However, Liu Zhi entered a strange state of perception, as if the entire city was hazy and there was a place that had a strong attraction to his consciousness, and he instinctively felt that it was where Hu Changtan was.

Hu Changtan arrived early at the Color Cloud Building, which is the tallest building in Guizhou Province and a high-end complex integrating dining, entertainment and leisure. From there, you can overlook the entire city. Hu Changtan booked a private room on the second or third floor by phone. The room was not large but very delicate, with a small balcony offering a great view. Half of the window on the balcony was open, allowing for an even better view of the cityscape.

In the private room, there was a dining table that could only accommodate eight people. Sofas and coffee tables surrounded it. Hu Changtan placed a suitcase on the coffee table, and the waiter had already served tea. Hu Changtan was drinking tea while watching TV, occasionally glancing at his watch with anxiety.

The sky had gradually darkened, and a waiter led in an emaciated old man. Hu Changtan immediately stood up and went forward to greet him: "Master Li, you're looking even more spirited! Please come in!"

This Master Li, whose real name is Li Yi, was very familiar with Hu Changtang. Whenever Hu had a difficult situation, he would often consult him. According to Li himself, he learned his skills on Mount Longhu and later became an expert in divination, Feng Shui, and exorcisms. The Hu family had benefited from his help many times, avoiding disasters and calamities. However, it's ironic that in China, where the government promotes atheism, officials are often the most superstitious. Haven't you seen how expensive incense sticks are at famous temples? They're usually burned by high-ranking officials, while ordinary people rarely burn incense. To put it bluntly, when you've done too many bad things, you need to find some psychological comfort.

Hu Changtan is also very superstitious, Li Yi's consultation fee is usually tens of thousands, and if it involves changing the feng shui or performing rituals, it can be as high as hundreds of thousands. Hu Changtan just happens to fall for this kind of thing. However, Li Yi does have real skills and can often pinpoint the root of the problem.

Li Yi's eyes were fixed on Hu Changtan's face, his eyebrows furrowed. Hu Changtan had been paying attention to Li Yi's every move since he entered the room, and seeing Li Yi observing his facial features, his own eyebrows locked together in concern. He was about to ask a question when Li Yi's gaze indicated for him to wait. The two female servers were dismissed and the door closed before they sat down on the sofa. Only then did Hu Changtan ask, "Master, what's wrong?"

"What have you been doing during this period? Your face is dark and gloomy, with a hint of blood light, if not careful, there will be a disaster that will harm your body!"

"Master, save me. I don't know either, but I just feel that things have been going wrong lately, so I thought of asking you to perform a ritual to change my luck. This period hasn't had any major events, it's just that there are some conflicts with the school below, and a few days ago, the director of the education system under my jurisdiction was in a car accident." Hu Changtan was shocked.

"I've also heard about that matter, originally you guys did go a bit too far, those rich donors aren't all kind-hearted people either, you wanted to move their money, but many of them have backers behind the scenes, it's normal for things to be exposed, however after Director Li died, you managed to get out of it unscathed, some bad luck is normal, but how did it end in bloodshed? Is someone trying to use this matter to deal with your family, Hu?"

"Master, please calculate it carefully for me, and help me get rid of the bad luck, turn my fortune around. A little hard work is nothing to be ashamed of!" Hu Changtan immediately pushed the box in front of Li Yi, pressed a few buttons, opened the password lock, pulled the zipper open, and opened the box. It was all 100-yuan bills, stacked up high, totaling over tens of millions.

Li Yi's eyes flashed with a hint of greed, but it was gone in an instant. Hu Changtan didn't notice and continued to close the box, starting to zip it up.

"Alright, alright, let me calculate it!" Li Yi closed his eyes, his fingers quickly pinching and calculating the four pillars of destiny on his palm to divine Hu Changtian's recent fortune.

Just as Li Yi's eyes had just closed, Hu Changtan's zipper on the box was only half pulled, and the temperature in the room suddenly dropped, a whirlwind started, and green ghost fires sparkled. A whirlwind swept towards Hu Changtan, his body stiffened, and he suddenly stood up, slamming the half-pulled box towards the window of the balcony. The box flew out of the window, opening abruptly in mid-air, with banknotes flying everywhere. At this time, it was not yet completely dark, and the streetlights had not yet come on.

Hu Changtan let out a loud roar, not like a human, and suddenly rushed towards the balcony. Li Yi was closing his eyes to calculate, but suddenly felt the room turn cold, feeling Hu Changtan stand up abruptly, letting out a strange howl, and as soon as he opened his eyes, he immediately understood that someone had used a technique to secretly attack Hu Changtan, no wonder he felt that Hu Changtan had a bloody disaster.

Li Yi was furious, thinking that he had received countless benefits from Hu Changtian over the years, and yet someone dared to secretly plot against him in front of his own face - wasn't this a blatant slap in the face?! He quickly formed hand seals and muttered:

"Heaven and Earth are the roots of all things, the origin of the ten thousand energies. Cultivating for countless kalpas, I have verified my spiritual powers. Within and without the Three Realms, only the Tao is revered. My body has a golden light that shines upon me. Looking at it, one cannot see; listening to it, one cannot hear. Enveloping Heaven and Earth, nurturing all living things. Holding onto it once, my body has radiance. The Three Realms serve as my guard, the Five Emperors welcome me, ten thousand spirits pay homage, the imperial envoy summons thunder. Ghosts and demons lose their courage, evil spirits disappear. Within is the rumble of thunder, the sound of its name hidden. Wisdom and intelligence are fully interconnected, the five energies rise up. Golden light quickly appears, protecting the true person. I respectfully obey the urgent orders of the Great Supreme Elder Lord."

This is the Golden Light Protection Mantra that has been widely circulated in the cultivation world. Li Yi recited it extremely quickly, and as he did so, a stream of golden light burst forth from him, spreading outwards in all directions. The Yin phosphorus ghost fires that came into contact with this invisible golden light immediately let out a mournful wail before dispersing. (For more information on the Golden Light Protection Method, interested readers can refer to my other work "The Great Way Cultivator" under the section "Some Cultivation Methods I Understand", which contains detailed cultivation methods.)

In the distant suburbs, in a mountain cave, Liu Zhi knew that he was struck by lightning. In his consciousness, he felt all this, and one of the five ghosts controlled Hu Changtan to rush towards the window on the balcony. A flash of golden light appeared, and the other four ghosts in the room were touched by the golden light, and they immediately dispersed into a faint black smoke. Liu Zhi knew that his internal organs were burning, and the golden light chased after Hu Changtan. Liu Zhi bit his tongue, and his spirit was shaken. The four ghosts that had dispersed into black smoke also pounced on Hu Changtan's body. Hu Changtan suddenly accelerated, completely unlike an official who had been pampered and indulged. His movements were extremely agile, and with a strange cry, he jumped up and rushed out of the window in an instant. At this time, the golden light also accelerated, shining on Hu Changtan's body. In an instant, the five ghosts were dispersed, and Liu Zhi knew that his brain seemed to have been heavily struck. His mouth opened, and a mouthful of blood spurted out. He fainted, and the five pieces of soul-nourishing jade inlaid with holly wood on his waist simultaneously shattered with a "crack" sound. The five scattered consciousness spirits returned to Liu Zhi's body.

As the golden light shone on his body, the five ghosts were dispersed, and Hu Changtan woke up. However, it was too late. As soon as he came to, he found himself in mid-air, dozens of floors high, his soul scattered. He let out a miserable cry, and before long, he heard a "plop" sound. His entire body, like a blood-filled water bag, smashed onto the ground and burst open. All that was left was a flat, human-shaped splatter. The pedestrians passing by on the floor below were shocked, and many of them vomited at the sight.

As a result, countless 100-yuan bills floated down from the sky, and many people suddenly became excited, jumping up to grab the banknotes, the scene was in chaos.

Li Yi was also stunned in an instant, the whole thing happened too fast, almost in the blink of an eye, his reaction was extremely quick, but he still couldn't save Hu Changtan. Right in front of him, using a technique to take someone's life, the opponent was really too arrogant, not taking the opponent's life would be unbearable, and it wouldn't give the Hu family an explanation either.

Thinking of this, he took out an object from a cloth bag on his back. This was a magical artifact that Li Yi had obtained by chance on one occasion. In today's cultivation world where it is not easy to obtain a magical artifact, being able to get one is indeed a kind of extremely good luck. He wasn't Liu Zhi Zhi, he understood the common sense of cultivation much more than Liu Zhi Zhi, who was almost ignorant.

This is a compass, after a long period of exploration, this thing is not only used to look at the feng shui, but also to find people and demons. Li Yi activated the compass with his incantation, the magnetic needle in the middle pointed to a place in the room, Li Yi's hand gesture used a "摄" (摄 means "to absorb") incantation, pointing the needle to a point where the yin energy of the ghost was absorbed into the compass. The compass immediately pointed south, and Li Yi knew that the person who performed the ritual should be in the south.

Following the compass's direction, he could finally find the person who cast the spell. However, Li Yi did not immediately go downstairs to track down the caster. Before that, he still had one more thing to do - he had to process the consciousness of people who saw him in this building, making it seem like he never appeared here. Otherwise, the public security department would investigate and find him. He couldn't just tell the police that Hu Changtian was killed by someone using evil magic; the police wouldn't believe him if they thought he was seeing ghosts.

His method of handling is similar to that of Liu Zhi, using a soul-stirring technique similar to hypnosis, making people who have seen him think they haven't seen him.

He opened the door, and two waitresses at the entrance bowed to greet him. Li Yi smiled, his eyes shining brightly, and the two female waitresses were immediately dazed. After finishing their work, he turned around and entered the elevator. The two waitresses came back to their senses, feeling normal again, standing outside the door, looking at each other in confusion, thinking that the guest in the private room was really strange, how could one person occupy a whole private room without anyone else coming or even ordering food.

Li Yi spent more than half an hour before he had finished all the formalities with the reception, including meeting those who had seen him off, and knew that he was going to see Hu Changtian. Of course, there were others who saw him, but in this bustling building, as long as they didn't have any contact with Hu Changtian, no one would pay attention.

Li Yi came out of the building, Hu Changtan's body had been removed, and a human figure was drawn on the ground with white chalk. The bloodstains were still there, but they had dried up and darkened. Public security personnel were busy inquiring about the situation, but Li Yi had already finished handling it, and naturally, no one mentioned Li Yi in their testimony.

Li Yi looked up at the high window, a bad mood arose from his heart. Life is so fragile, in the blink of an eye, a deputy mayor died. He was glorious when he was alive, but in the blink of an eye, he disappeared like the river flowing eastward.

Li Yi walked a short distance away, looked at the compass in his hand, which still pointed south, and hailed a taxi. Following the direction of the compass, he headed south.

Liu Zhi knew vaguely woke up, found that the body no longer felt pain, moved his body, nothing serious, looked at the phone, just passed twenty minutes or so, and then touched the waist, Nourishing Soul Jade was still there, but it was full of cracks. He prepared to use his mind to sense it, but he had a severe headache and couldn't sense the five ghosts at all. Given the situation at the time, it's possible that the five ghosts had dispersed, which means that his spells were abolished. He couldn't help but smile bitterly, thinking of what his grandfather had said at the time - that using magic indiscriminately would have consequences. Naturally, in recent days, he unknowingly became obsessed with that power and solved everything unconsciously using magic. Now it's all too late, Grandfather's magic was passed on to him, but now it's gone, never to return. He had originally not been interested in magic anyway. For now, he should first treat his injuries.

Liu Zhi thought of this, took out a small porcelain bottle from his clothes, poured out two medicinal pills, which were made by him with lingzhi, ginseng and sanqi and other Chinese medicines to make the Lingzhi Ginseng Nourishing Spirit Pill. He swallowed it down, started to concentrate on his dantian, quietly waiting for the medicine to take effect.

Liu Zhi knew that in order to adjust his injuries, he had to focus his spirit inward. As he breathed slowly and deeply, he gradually entered a meditative state. Before him appeared a five-colored light, and his body became as transparent as glass. His internal organs were clearly visible, and Liu Zhi suddenly realized the truth about inner vision. The ancients said that the five organs correspond to the five elements, and now he understood why. In his inner vision, his heart was like fire, red in color; his liver was a lush green; his lungs were white; his spleen was a deep, rich yellow; and his kidneys shone like dark, glossy ink. The correspondence between the five organs and the five elements and colors was indeed as described by the ancients. It seemed that the descriptions in ancient medical texts were based on actual experiences of inner vision.

Liu Zhi felt vaguely that his own Five Ghosts Technique had been broken, and it might be a good thing for himself!
