Who has gone in the half-spring temple hall?
"Wait for me after the club activity, we'll go see your grandfather together!" Yu Jiajia said, turning her head to look at Liu Zhizhi who was walking shoulder-to-shoulder with her. Both of them were students of Shencheng University. Shencheng University is a prestigious university, and Liu Zhizhi was a senior majoring in physics, a fundamental science that he chose out of personal interest. He was currently preparing his graduation thesis and had not participated in club activities for quite some time. The club he joined was related to psychology, specifically the hypnosis club. Due to his outstanding performance in the club in previous years and his mastery of hypnosis techniques, which allowed him to hypnotize people independently, he was specially invited by the club leader to share his experiences with others before graduation. Liu Zhizhi couldn't decline the request, so he agreed.
You Jiajia is a junior, majoring in media studies at the School of Journalism. She is one of the school flowers and met Liu Zhizhi at a welcoming party. The two quickly became close friends. Liu Zhizhi is considered to be from a wealthy family, as his grandfather Liu Xingxu founded a large enterprise after China's reform and opening-up. Now, all business matters are handled by Liu Zhizhi's father, Liu ChuanYi, while he enjoys his retirement. Liu Xingxu has only one son, Liu ChuanYi, whose wife passed away early and did not remarry. Liu Zhizhi is his eldest grandson, whom Liu Xingxu loves dearly. However, Liu ChuanYi does not particularly like Liu Zhizhi because his mother died shortly after giving birth to him due to complications, which is rare in modern medicine. As a result, Liu ChuanYi always feels uneasy when facing Liu Zhizhi, while Liu Xingxu adores this grandson. Later, Liu ChuanYi married his current wife, Lan Minzhu, and had another son, Liu Zhide, and a daughter, Liu Zhiyan. Liu Zhide is also in college but not locally.
Liu Zhi knew that he was handsome and came from a wealthy family, but despite this, he was not arrogant. Perhaps it had something to do with his father not being too fond of him. As a result, Liu Zhi could be considered the ideal husband in the eyes of many girls, and he had many suitors. His standards were also high, after all, his own conditions were excellent, so he was quite particular. At a party, he met You Jiajia, who was beautiful enough to capture Liu Zhi's heart. After getting to know her, You Jiajia's gentle personality made Liu Zhi fall in love with her at first sight. You Jiajia was not from Shencheng, but from Hangzhou, a city considered paradise on earth, and her family was also wealthy. From this point of view, the two families were quite compatible. They had been together for over two years, and both were very satisfied. Liu Zhi was about to graduate, so he decided to bring You Jiajia home to meet his parents. You Jiajia was thrilled at the prospect, and after more than two years of dating, everything that should have happened had already occurred. Without any unexpected events, they were just waiting to start a family.
When Yujia Jia said that, Liu Zhizhi looked at Yujia Jia gently and said: "You go to participate in your club activities too, I'll wait for you at the music club entrance after it's over!"
"Alright, I'll wait for you at the entrance. If I don't see you, I'll stand there until tomorrow morning!" Yu Jiajia said with a playful smile.
"It's settled then!" Liu Zhi Zhuo waved his hand, and the two of them went their separate ways. Although they were a handsome couple, they only caught the attention of some passersby who turned to look back at them, but it didn't cause much commotion. Zhendan University had many student couples, so university students were used to seeing them and wouldn't pay too much attention.
A few hours later, a taxi stopped at the entrance of a villa area and two people got out. They were none other than Liu Zhi Zhi and You Jia Jia, the couple, carrying gifts in their hands. The security guard did not stop them as he recognized Liu Zhi Zhi. This villa area was home to either the rich or the noble, with each house being a single independent courtyard, built in a classical style, no more than two stories high.
Entering the community, green trees shade, artificial rivers wind and twist, each household is relatively far apart, greening is done very well, fake mountains are dotted among them, every other segment has a pavilion, styles vary, worthy of being a high-end villa area.
Liu Zhi brought Yu Jiajia along the shaded path, turned over three bays, and crossed a bridge. Under the cover of green trees and bamboo, an ancient-style courtyard appeared. In the expensive land of Shencheng, such a courtyard would not be worth less than hundreds of millions. This was where Liu Zhi's grandfather, Liu Xingxu, lived. Liu Zhi's father did not live here, but Liu Zhi usually lived with his grandfather. Although Liu Xingxu had retired to the second line, he was still the head of the family.
"Is Grandfather in?" asked Liu Zhi, asking Aunt He. Aunt He was a nanny hired to take care of Liu Xingxu's daily life. In fact, Liu Xingxu was very healthy and didn't need anyone to take care of him. Aunt He mainly cooked three meals a day, and the household chores were done by a part-time worker every day. Aunt He was a middle-aged woman who was very kind. She had a son who was already married and had his own family. Her husband had passed away, and she lived alone at home. Her son advised her to remarry, but she refused. When Liu Xingxu needed a nanny, she came to apply for the job.
Liu Zhi's grandfather and grandson also didn't treat her as an outsider, and Liu Zhi was even more affectionate towards her than his stepmother Lan Tuanzhu. He Shu saw Liu Zhi and smiled: "The old master is inside, young master, is this your girlfriend? This girl is so pretty! She looks like a fairy!"
Liu Zhi Zhi felt a bit embarrassed and pulled You Jia Jia closer to him, You Jia Jia's face turned red and she gave Liu Zhi Zhi a white eye.
Liu Zhi Zhi, although close to You Jia Jia, still felt a bit shy when bringing her home for the first time. Her tone was slightly awkward: "Aunt He, Jia Jia is my classmate, come meet Grandpa together!"
"He Shuo, I'm You Jiajia. This is my first time visiting your home. Zhi Zhi has mentioned you many times before, and he has great respect for you!" You Jiajia calmed down and composed herself, appearing elegant and refined.
"He's not good at talking, you two are together, just like the golden boy and jade girl in the movie, He's happy for you, old man is in the study room, you can go in directly!" He said with a smile on his face.
Liu Zhi brought Yu Jiajia into the house, and Aunt He went to prepare tea. The courtyard was not large, but it was exquisite. Upon entering, there was a garden with several artificial hills, green trees, and bamboo groves surrounding a small pond, with corridors on both sides. It seemed like an old-fashioned aristocratic garden. In front of them was a screen wall, with a traditional design. Behind the screen wall was the main hall, with side rooms on either side. Although it looked like an old aristocratic residence, after all, the Liu family was just a nouveau riche family. Except for Aunt He, there were no other people in the entire courtyard, and everything was taken care of by her.
Liu Xingxu had already heard Liu Zhizhi's voice and came out of the study, standing at the entrance of the main hall. Seeing Liu Zhizhi and the two others turn around the screen, his gaze fell on You Jiajia, his eyes twitched slightly, and his eyebrows furrowed, but this was only a fleeting moment, as a smile soon filled his face.
"Grandpa, I've brought Jiajia to see you!" Liu Zhizhi called out respectfully. You Jiajia also respectfully called out "grandpa", and Liu Xingxu smiled and said: "Zhizhi has mentioned you many times in front of me, indeed a good girl, don't stand at the door, come inside and sit!"
Three people entered the house, sat down, and He Shu came in to serve tea. Liu Xingru asked about You Jiajia's family situation, and although You Jiajia was a bit nervous, she behaved elegantly and naturally. After chatting for a while, she gradually became more at ease.
He Shu had prepared dinner, and after the few of them finished eating, Liu Zhi Zhuo and You Jia Jia exchanged a few secretive glances. Both of them felt relieved in their hearts. Liu Xing Shu seemed very satisfied with the two of them, and they got along harmoniously. After dinner, You Jia Jia lingered for a while before standing up to bid farewell. Liu Zhi Zhuo sent her back to her school dormitory, then returned here, wanting to have a chat with his grandfather.
Liu Xingxu was waiting for him in the study room. When he saw Liu Zhizhi arrive, he let out a sigh and said: "You two have been in contact with each other for some time now?"
"Grandpa, it's been over two years now. I'm planning to settle things with Jiajia. After my graduation thesis defense, I'll go visit her parents at their home!" Liu Zhizhi said, not noticing the tone of Liu Xingxu's voice.
"I've had you study the various schools of thought and miscellaneous knowledge since you were young, can't you see that she has peach blossoms in her eyes, a vast and expansive aura, and a waist as slender as a snake? Isn't she a good match?" Liu Xingru's words left Liu Zhi stunned.
"Grandfather!" Liu Zhi knew was both embarrassed and anxious, almost jumping up: "This is the era of science, what you taught me, if it's just a traditional culture, then it's fine to look at it as cultural accomplishment! But those are nothing but feudal superstitions, I never believed in them from the start. I only believe in my feelings, no matter what, I've already acknowledged Jiajia, she and I have become husband and wife in reality, I cannot betray her!"
"Really? You're sure about this girl?"
"Not bad! Grandpa, no matter what you do, I've made up my mind about Jiajia!"
"I won't stop you either, Grandfather told you that from the perspective of your fate, you two are not destined to be together, unless you can defy heaven and change your fate! Even if I wanted to, I don't have the ability to do so. Perhaps if you hadn't experienced this, you wouldn't have grown up! Your grandmother and mother were also affected by me and left this world early!" Liu Xingxu's eyes revealed a hint of helplessness as he continued speaking.
"Grandfather, that's just superstition! It's okay to make people laugh sometimes, but now science is advanced and humans have gone to the sky and earth, when have we ever seen ghosts or gods? I and Jiajia are not fated, how did we end up together and even get to the point of discussing marriage?! As a physics major, Liu Zhi knew he wouldn't believe in his grandfather's superstitions, although he had learned about the family's fortune-telling methods and six-line divination from a young age under Liu Xingshu's influence, but deep down he didn't believe it at all."
"Is it really superstition?" Liu Xingxu's face turned serious, and he said: "Then I'll let you see for yourself what you think is superstitious!"
Liu Xingxu finished speaking, pinched his fingers, and shouted: "Where are the five ghosts? Listen to my orders, take the object!" As soon as the words fell, the temperature in the study suddenly dropped, the lights dimmed, five small whirlwinds formed, the curtains fluttered, and a book on the desk floated up. Liu Xingxu stretched out his hand to catch it.
All of this left Liu Zhi stunned, disbelieving what he was seeing, and even pinched himself hard to see if it was real. It wasn't a dream. He rushed to the window and looked out into the courtyard, where the trees were swaying slightly in the lamplight, but there was no sign of any wind coming from outside. All of this caused everything Liu Zhi had believed in for over twenty years to collapse instantly.
"Does magic really exist?" Liu Zhi knew no longer cared about his usual respect for his grandfather, and asked hastily.
"Didn't you see it with your own eyes?!" Liu Xingxu smiled calmly.
"Grandfather, why have you never shown your true self before?" Liu Zhi knew felt that his brain was not enough to understand. From young to old, he had never seen anything different about his grandfather, only thinking that his grandfather was more superstitious, with a large collection of Buddhist and Taoist books, as well as fortune-telling and Feng Shui books at home. Liu Zhi knew used to flip through them often, but since going to university, he rarely looked at them, after all, he thought they were just religious superstitions, and his major was science, which was truly scientific.
Liu Xingxu's expression was somewhat desolate, and he said: "If it weren't for today's situation, I would have taken these things to my grave! What I practiced was a heretical way, and there is retribution! Your grandmother and mother's death were to some extent a kind of retribution! Do you know why your father treated you poorly? He thought you were a jinx, but the real reason lies with me! I practiced magic, and the retribution fell on my daughter-in-law. With modern medicine, how could your mother have died from difficult labor? The doctors tried every method, but couldn't stop the bleeding. I know this is retribution! Practicing magic has retribution, you haven't seen me do a lot of charity to keep our family safe and sound! I treated you much better than your younger siblings, and there's also a sense of compensation in it."
"Grandpa, what you said is just a coincidence!" Liu Zhi still didn't believe it, even when he saw it with his own eyes.
Liu Xingxu let out a bitter laugh: "Good grandson, I know my own affairs, there are some things you don't understand!"
"But, Grandfather, how did you obtain this magical heritage? Was it passed down from our ancestors?" Liu Zhi didn't understand and asked, the truth was right in front of him, and his mindset also adjusted accordingly.
"It's not inherited! This starts from when I was 17 years old..." Liu Xingxu began to recall how he had ventured into a haunted house, obtained the secret recipe of Tao Bo, cultivated the Five Ghosts Yin Soldiers Technique, and then left his hometown for Shen City. Before he could even get settled, the Republic of China collapsed, retreated to an island, the Red regime was established, and a series of different movements were launched. Everything traditional was devastated, all superstitions were overthrown, but fortunately Liu Xingxu came from a poor peasant background, with roots that were red and orthodox, seeing that the situation was unfavorable, he didn't dare reveal even a hint of his mastery of these things that the ruling powers called superstition, which allowed him to survive the disaster.
After the reform and opening up, Liu Xingxu started doing business. Relying on the five ghosts to secretly gather information about his opponents, he even confused them. His business grew bigger and bigger, eventually becoming a wealthy tycoon. However, he also discovered that relying on magic had some drawbacks. He fell seriously ill several times and almost lost his life. To make up for this, he used his wealth to collect a large amount of materials, hoping to find the complete cultivation method. Unfortunately, only the Five Ghosts Yin Soldier Technique was intact, while most others were destroyed. What's more, Liu Xingxu only obtained fragments of magic techniques, but not the orthodox cultivation methods that cultivate both body and mind. His cultivation could never reach the level of his predecessor, Du Bo. Many cultivators had already responded to the great calamity, and those who remained either hid from the world or mixed with the secular world. Although Liu Xingxu was wealthy, he knew it was futile to seek true magic techniques. However, during this process, he collected many ancient books, which broadened his horizons and made him realize that cultivating without accumulating virtues would lead to retribution. Therefore, in recent years, he devoted himself to charitable causes.
In recent years, Liu Xingxu has also seen through the worldly affairs, although he has not obtained the true method of cultivation, he has become a Buddhist layman, using some Buddhist mind-cultivating techniques to treat everything with equanimity.
Liu Zhi heard his grandfather's memories, and his heart was filled with emotions. He couldn't believe that his grandfather's life had been so legendary. On one hand, he felt a sense of awe, on the other hand, a kind of fear arose. If he believed that the mysterious arts existed, then what his grandfather said about fate and fortune-telling should also be true? Could it be that he really had no fate with Jiajia? No! No matter what, he must take control of his own destiny!
Thinking of this, Liu Zhi knew looked at his grandfather and made up his mind to say: "Grandfather! Teach me magic, I want to defy the heavens and change my fate, I don't want to lose Jiajia!"
Xing Xu's eyes revealed a bitter expression, and after a while, he said: "Zhi Zhi, Grandfather knows your feelings. Even if you learn magic, it can't be done. It's just a legend. Moreover, if you learn magic, you will understand the verification of cause and effect. Many times, you clearly see that everything is about to happen, but there is no way to help it. That is even more sorrowful! Do you still want to learn?"
"Grandfather, as long as there's a glimmer of hope, I won't give up!" Liu Zhizhi said resolutely.
"Alright, I've been thinking about this for a long time. Whether or not to pass on the magic spell to you, I've been hesitant all these years. Among my descendants, there's one person who possesses an extraordinary skill, which is a kind of power, but it also has many drawbacks. I've also thought about taking this magic spell with me to the grave. Zhi, when you were ten years old, I spent a lot of money to invite a master of internal martial arts from Shen City to teach you national arts. On one hand, it was to strengthen your body and have some self-defense skills; on the other hand, it was also to prepare for the inheritance of magic spells, because people who practice martial arts have strong blood and qi, and their will is firm, making them less susceptible to the backlash of magic spells! Your hard work every day over the years has made you a skilled martial artist. Since you want to accept the inheritance of magic spells, I'll pass it on to you!" Liu Xing finally made up his mind.
"Grandfather, I've read that incomplete book. To refine the Five Ghosts Yin Soldiers, one needs to dig up graves and find five skulls, then worship them for 49 days using a specific method. But now people are all cremated, it's simply impossible to refine!" Liu Zhi asked in doubt.
"It's nothing, and you don't need to cultivate the Five Ghosts either. You inherited the Five Ghosts from your grandfather, who cultivated them for decades before passing them directly to you. With just seven days of practice, you'll be able to master the control of the Five Ghosts!" said Liu Xingxu.
"Grandpa, didn't you lose five ghosts?"
"A dying old man, how can he take five ghosts into his grave! Come with me!"
The two entered a room on the east side of the yard, and Liu Zhi knew that it was his grandfather's usual Buddhist shrine. Although he had been there several times, he hadn't paid attention to it before, but now he realized that this place was not only a Buddhist shrine, but also a quiet room, or a ritual platform, where Liu Xingxu passed on the Five Ghosts Yin Soldiers' Method to Liu Zhi...
A few days later, on a clear morning, Liu Zhi was practicing boxing in the courtyard when he heard his grandfather's cough. He stopped boxing and saw his grandfather standing under a tree, watching him box. He quickly went forward to support his grandfather: "Grandfather, why don't you sleep a bit more? The early morning is a bit chilly, it's not good for your body."
"It's all right, Grandfather knows his own situation. You practice first, have breakfast, and come to the study later. Grandfather has some things to entrust!" After finishing speaking, Liu Xingxu turned around and left.
More than an hour later, Liu Zhi came to the study, where Liu Xing was sitting on a recliner reading a book. Seeing Liu Zhi enter, he asked him to sit down. Liu Zhi saw that his grandfather's spirit was clearly not as good as before, and his heart ached. Just as he was about to speak, Liu Xing had already opened his mouth: "Zhi, Grandfather has some last words to entrust you with today!"
"Grandpa, what are you talking about!?" Liu Zhi knew was shocked.
"Grandfather has been cultivating for many years, and in recent years he has also devoted himself to Buddhism, with some spiritual responses. He knows that his life is coming to an end, and there's only a little over a month left before Grandfather leaves the world!" Liu Xingxu's words made Liu Zhi immediately jump up.
"Grandpa, did you pass on the Five Ghosts to your grandson and hurt yourself in the process? I'm calling for an ambulance to send you to the hospital right away!"
"Sit down! It has nothing to do with heritage, even going to the hospital is useless. I'm not sick at all, I've just gotten old, my energy is exhausted. Don't be alarmed, and there's no need to be sad. I know where I'll go after I die. I'll go to Jade Buddha Temple, the abbot Jue Xing Fa Shi is a friend of mine, he'll take care of me at the end, and I can be reborn in the Pure Land!" Liu Hang Shu's tone was very ordinary, as if discussing something that had nothing to do with him.
Liu Zhizhi couldn't help but feel a deep sorrow rising from his heart, and before he knew it, his eyes were filled with tears.
"Silly child, this is a joyful occasion, no need to be sad. I have a wish, after I'm gone, you go to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and take a look around. The children there are very poor, understand their situation, do some good deeds!" Liu Xingxu smiled, and in this instant, Liu Zhi knew that his grandfather's smile was pure and happy.
In the following days, Liu Zhi knew that apart from going to school for a thesis defense, most of his time was spent at home accompanying his grandfather. He even invited a private doctor to give Liu Xingxu a comprehensive examination, and the conclusion was surprisingly that Liu Xingxu's body was very healthy and there were no problems.
Liu Zhi knew that Grandpa's words were not wrong, Liu Xing Shu was not sick at all, he was just old, and modern medicine is powerless against this.
The peach blossoms have fallen, the apricot blossoms have withered, on the surface, Liu Hangxu's body seems to be fine, but through the five ghosts' perception, Liu Zhi knows that Grandfather's vital energy is getting weaker day by day.
On that day, Liu Xingxu asked He Shu to make a phone call and notify the relevant people to gather. Liu Zhizhi's father, Liu ChuanYi, stepmother Lan Minzhu, younger brother and sister Liu Zhide and Liu Zhiyan, as well as some other people, including the legal advisor of the Liu Group, Han Jun, all arrived at the scene.
Liu Xingxu had taken a bath and changed into a brand new purple-red silk Tang suit, looking dignified and majestic with an air of wealth. As soon as he entered the living room, everyone stood up, creating a lively atmosphere, with some calling him "Grandfather" and others using different titles, while outsiders called him "Old Master". Liu Xingxu asked everyone to sit down, and he himself took a seat, seeing that everyone was looking at him, he began to speak: "I invited you all here today because my time in this world has come to an end, tonight I should leave!"
Liu Chuan Yi immediately interrupted Liu Hang Shu's words: "Dad! Are you a bit confused? You're in good health, why are you talking nonsense?" The others were also astonished and chimed in, only Liu Zhi Zhi felt sorrowful in his heart and stood silently to the side.
Liu Xingxu waved his hand, and everyone quieted down. Liu Xingxu continued to say: "I know my own affairs, today I will make some things public. After I leave, this house will be given to Zhi Zhi, but it cannot be resold. I have discussed this with Lawyer Han. Other assets will be managed by Chuan Yi, and later the three children will each take one-third of them, of course, these will be said after Chuan Yi retires."
Liu Xingxu said this, Liu Chuan Yi was taken aback for a moment, then quickly recovered to normal. He knew his father liked Liu Zhizhi very much and would inevitably lean towards him. Although he didn't like Liu Zhizhi in his heart, he didn't think it was strange either. A hint of jealousy flashed across Lan Muzhu's eyes, then disappeared. Liu Zhide lowered his head, with a thread of resentment flashing in his eyes. Liu Zhiyan looked at her big brother Liu Zhizhi, and couldn't help but reveal a look of jealousy in her eyes as well.
Liu Zhi didn't expect his grandfather would do such a thing and was taken aback, completely ignoring the expressions of his stepmother and younger siblings.
The phone rang, Liu Xingxu picked up the receiver, listened for a moment, turned his head to Liu Zhi and said: "Zhi, Master Jue Xing of Yufo Temple and Master Neng Jing are at the entrance of the community. You go and pick them up!" Liu Zhi responded with a sound, turned around and went out.
At the entrance of the residential area, an Audi stopped at the gate. The phone call just now was from the security room. As soon as Liu Zhi knew arrived at the entrance, the car door opened. These two monks were familiar with Liu Zhi knew. Liu Xing Shu had taken Liu Zhi to Yufo Temple more than once. Liu Zhi knew had met the two monks with Buddhist etiquette before. He got in the car and instructed the driver on the way. The car slowly drove inside.
"Master, Grandfather said he would leave the world tonight. Can he really be reborn in the Pure Land?" asked Liu Zhi to Master Jue Xing.
"Master Liu, since your grandfather knew the time of his departure and had some accomplishments, he should be reborn into a wealthy and virtuous family. There's no need to investigate further. A single good thought can bring about all kinds of blessings!" Jue Xing said. Liu Zhi seemed to understand but also didn't, and stopped asking questions.
"Master Liu Shi, I heard that your grandfather used to practice some magic spells. Is this true?" The one asking the question was actually Abbot Jing Fa.
Liu Zhi was shocked in his heart, but he didn't show it. He became more cautious towards Neng Jing Fa Shi. Knowing this matter, this monk is not simple. On the surface, he pretended to know nothing and shook his head saying: "I haven't heard Grandfather say that, Master. Could it be true that there are really magical powers like these?"
"I'm just asking casually." she said calmly.
Liu Xingxu personally came to the door to greet them. After several people got off the car, Liu Xingxu said: "Trouble you two masters!"
"No need to be polite, Master Liu's mastery of Buddhism is like this, even some great monks are inferior to him. This is a joyful event and a virtuous deed. The more such events, the better. Buddhism is originally for universal salvation, why bother with troubles?" Master Jue Xing said, and everyone entered together.
After the introduction, many people flattered the two monks, as Yufo Temple is a famous temple in Shanghai and its abbot has extensive connections with high-ranking officials and wealthy businessmen, making them honored guests. Seeing this opportunity, everyone wanted to befriend the two monks.
Upon entering the room, He Shuang served tea and everyone accompanied the two masters and Liu Xingxu in conversation. Liu Xingxu said to his descendants: "Tonight I will leave, when I leave I will shed tears of gratitude, not sadness, but a sense of awe at my experiences in this life!" His descendants all nodded in agreement.
After drinking tea for a while, Liu Xingxu stood up and said to the two masters: "Let's go!" Everyone got up together, went out of the door, got on their cars separately, and headed towards Jade Buddha Temple. Several cars also had some momentum.
The time was approaching midnight, the lights in the great hall were shining brightly, and incense smoke was wafting through the air. Liu Xingxu sat cross-legged on a low cushion, surrounded by his family members and a large group of monks who were silently reciting scriptures. Master Jue Xing stood before the couch, and Liu Xingxu looked up at him with a smile, saying: "Master, please help me hold on, my time has come!" After speaking, he lowered his head, and two lines of clear tears slowly flowed down.
The Awakened Dharma Master loudly proclaimed a Buddhist mantra, and suddenly the sound of scriptures filled the air. In the sky, a spring thunderstorm rolled in from afar. The Awakened Dharma Master pointed at Liu Xingxu and recited a verse:
"A life of vicissitudes with a compassionate heart"
Upasakas also enter the Bodhisattva path!
Wow! Today's ton opened the lock and went away.
"The truth is revealed in the midst of the law!"
As the chanting ended, the bell of Jade Buddha Temple rang out. The Liu family's children and grandchildren knelt down on the ground, and two lines of hot tears also flowed from Liu Zhi's eyes. Some residents near Jade Buddha Temple were awakened by the bell, hearing the faint sound of Buddhist scriptures being recited, and found it somewhat strange that these monks were holding a ceremony in the middle of the night. Some people turned over, murmured a few words, and fell back asleep...
