Chapter 19: Farewell to Liu Bo

Chapter 19: Farewell to Liu Bo

"What's wrong!" Lei Yu asked hastily.

"I was just one step away from grasping that opportunity, what a pity!"

  "You're really stupid! Idiot!"

After dividing the fruit between them, they each went back home.

Lei Yu took out his phone and dialed the number after some deliberation.

  "Who?"

  "Old Liu!"

  "Little... Little Yu?"

"It's me, Liu Bo, I want to see you, but can't let anyone from the Lei family know, okay?"

"I've already left the Lei family now, ever since you...you left, I haven't been at the Lei's anymore."

  "What? How can this be?"

"I have some things to attend to over the next couple of days, I'll give you a call in a few days."

"Alright." He hung up the phone, lay down on the bed and stretched his waist with force. Drowsiness suddenly swept in. Originally wanting to sleep well, but thinking of the three-year agreement with Cai Zhong, only two years were left, Lei Yu sat up again, "Can't relax!"

Three days later, at noon, Lei Yu's phone rang. After agreeing to meet Liu Bo at a location, Lei Yu hastily rushed over.

  Inside Pinpang Villa Teahouse

"Ever since you left the Lei's house that day, I started packing my things to leave with you, but when I found out you jumped off the cliff, I realized everything was too late." Liu Bo apparently felt some guilt.

As for jumping off a cliff, Lei Yu didn't want to make any more explanations. What he was most concerned about now was where his mother was.

"Liu Bo, who exactly is my mother?"

Liu Bo took out a small rectangular box from his pocket, carefully opened it, and took out a photo and a jade pendant.

"This is your mother's photo, this...this is the jade pendant left to you by your mother."

Lei Yu's hand trembled slightly as he took the two things, the photos had turned yellow due to the long passage of time. It was a beautiful young girl, but this was already nearly twenty years ago. Lei Yu's thumb gently stroked the face of the girl in the photo, as if searching for a kinship that never existed. But all of this was too fake, too unrealistic.

He picked up the jade pendant that Liu Bo had handed over to him, which was a piece of emerald green jade with a "moon" character carved on it. Lei Yu's voice choked as he asked: "Liu Bo, did my mother entrust you to give this jade pendant to me?"

Liu Bo nodded, "Yes, nineteen years ago, a woman held a baby in her arms, and that baby was you." Liu Bo took a deep breath and continued, "On that day, the wife of the head of the Lei family had not yet passed away. The two women quarreled loudly, and no one in the family recognized you as a child of the Lei family. However, the head of the household accepted you despite everything. But your mother disappeared that night, leaving these things with me and instructing me to give them to you when you turned twenty and tell you what happened."

Lei Yu's heart skipped a beat, the master of the house had accepted him nineteen years ago? This, how is this possible? Why could he accept himself nineteen years ago, but only abandoned him because he didn't have the family crest? Was it to drive him out of the house? All of this doesn't make sense.

"This jade pendant is actually one half, and the other half is on your mother's body. If you and your mother can reunite, just take out the two pieces of jade pendants and stick them together to prove each other's identity."

Ren Lei Yu never thought that the tragic plot he had seen in TV dramas since childhood would happen to him today, it's like a dream, nearly twenty years have passed and he still doesn't know what his mother looks like.

"Where is my mother now?" Lei Yu asked.

Liu Bo weakly shook his head, "Since the day your mother left, she has never appeared again. I've told you everything I can say. I hope you find your relatives soon. I'll leave first."

"Wait!" Lei Yu called out to Liu Bo, asking: "Why are you leaving the Lei family?"

"This..." Liu Bo's body was trembling, and even his tears were welling up.

"Liu Bo, what's wrong with you?"

"No, nothing's wrong with me. I'm fine. Don't ask anymore, I have something to do and I'll leave first." Liu Bo hastily left, leaving Lei Yu alone.

Sitting in the seat, I must find my mother and ask her why she abandoned me that day, why she left me, making me grow up without a mother for over a decade, and why I was bullied since childhood.

Lei Yu started spacing out, for the entire afternoon, Lei Yu stared at two things without moving, until someone knocked on the door and he came back to his senses.

  "Do you need water?"

"Oh, no need, I'll leave right away." Lei Yu let out a long sigh after putting away the photos and the jade pendant, then left as well.

Lei Yu didn't tell anyone about this, not even Nu Hu and Ai Er knew. Lei Yu hung the jade pendant around his neck and tucked the photo tightly into his wallet before returning to the Dragon Team.

"How's it going?" Nuo Hu patted Lei Yu on the shoulder and asked.

  "Oh, it's going smoothly."

  "That's good."

Lei Yu and his two siblings had just finished dinner at over 10 o'clock in the evening, Lei Yu returned home and was about to start practicing when the phone rang.

  "Master, are you free now?"

"Liu Hao, I was just about to cultivate, what's wrong?"

"I'll be right there!" Liu Hao said before hanging up the phone.

Lei Yu was at a loss for what to do with this provincial governor's son, who looked nothing like the dignified offspring of a high-ranking official no matter how one looked at him.

But overall, Lei Yu was still relatively satisfied, although the two of them were often laughing and joking around like they didn't have a master-disciple relationship, but when something happened, this Liu Hao was actually quite obedient.

Before long, the doorbell rang, and Lei Yu opened the door slightly stunned, "Who is this...?"

  "My sister."

Pulling along a girl of about twenty years old, the two entered Lei Yu's room.

Lei Yu carefully sized up the girl, who was wearing a very cool outfit. A white dress covered her curvy figure, with a prominent chest and buttocks that formed a standard S-curve. Underneath the short skirt were two long, slender, and smooth legs. Her delicate face had well-proportioned features that looked extremely harmonious, making one feel comfortable at first glance.

"How come I didn't know you had a sister?" Lei Yu scratched his head, he didn't know why Liu Hao would bring his own sister here so late.

"You wouldn't know, I never told you!" Liu Hao smiled mysteriously. "But she's not my biological sister, she's a sworn sister I met in school, named Cui Yanyan, and her father is also an old friend of my father."

"Oh, please sit down and have something to drink?"

"Don't be polite." Cui Yanyan spoke up, her voice sounding extremely gentle, even the thunderstorm seemed to pause for a moment.

"Have some juice, I still have some here." Lei Yu turned around and walked towards the refrigerator in the kitchen, Liu Hao smiled at Cui Yanyan and followed him.

"What did you bring your sister to my house for?" Lei Yu poured a cup of fruit juice and asked lightly.

Collect, flowers, collect flowers, brothers, don't be stingy!
