On Donghai Fangzhang Island, Hongyuan looked at the three people kneeling on the ground and said calmly: "You can get up!"
Three people bowed and thanked, then stood up. Yang Jiao took out the Heaven-Opening Axe and said: "The disciple has already rescued his mother from Peach Mountain, especially to return the divine instrument."
Hong Xuan smiled and said, "Now that you've acknowledged me as your master, I haven't given you any protective treasures. Since you used the Mountain-Opening Axe to split open Peach Mountain, I'll give this axe to you, to fulfill my duty as a master!"
Yang Jiao was overjoyed in his heart, but calmly thanked him and said: "The disciple thanks the teacher for giving treasure!"
Hong Xuan looked at Yang Jiao's calm demeanor and secretly praised him, having the air of Confucius, neither arrogant nor impatient, truly a cultivator of the Tao. He then spoke to Yun Hua Xian Zi, "Jade Maiden, I'm sure you're also aware of Yu Huang's bitter intentions. Don't blame him either, sometimes when one is in a certain position, they can't help but do things that go against their heart, let alone being the master of the three realms, with great influence."
"Please report to the Holy One, Yaoji already knows the Jade Emperor's difficulties, but no matter what, he has killed Yaoji's husband after all. Yaoji cannot let go of this, and he is also Yaoji's brother, so Yaoji does not want to see him again. Now that Yaoji has obtained my three children, who are all safe and sound, her wish has been fulfilled, with no worries or regrets. I hope the Holy One will take pity on Yaoji and accept her, from now on she will focus on cultivating the Tao and no longer pay attention to worldly affairs!"
Hong Xuan looked at Yun Hua Xianzi, who was expressionless, and sighed. The knot in his heart was hard to untie, and the Great Way was difficult to find! He could only say: "In that case, you can stay here!"
Yunhua Fairy thanked: "Many thanks to Teacher Yaoji for her kindness!"
Hong Xuan said to Yang Jian, "Yang Jian, you are the second brother of my sect, and since you have come to my Fangzhang Island, I also cannot be too petty. Alright, among the living beings on my island, there is a divine beast named Xi Yao, also known as Xiao Tian Quan. It is an ancient desolate beast from the primordial era, and it has been cultivating on my island for some time. I will give it to you as an aid!" After speaking, he summoned a pitch-black divine beast that resembled a dog but was not a dog, with a majestic and powerful build, and a pair of eyes shining brightly, truly worthy of being a divine beast left over from the ancient era!
Hongyuan said to Xiangtian Dog: "You have a fate with Yang Jiaolong, from now on take him as your master and consider it as a help!"
The heavenly dog bowed down to the ground, barked twice, and seemed to respond. It immediately got up and came to Yang Jian's feet, rubbing its head against Yang Jian's feet, whining softly, showing extreme obedience!
Yang Jian was delighted to see the Hound of Heaven and bowed down to pet its forehead, laughing with joy. After finishing his laughter, he hastily kowtowed and said: "Yang Jian thanks you for your kindness, Master!"
Hong Xuan nodded. { Said: "Yang Jia, you can go back to Yuquan Mountain now. Don't let your teacher wait for too long! Yang Jiao, Yao Ji, you two will temporarily stay on Fangzhang Island to listen to the Tao!" }
The three of them did not dare to disobey. After thanking him again, Yang Jian took the Xiao Tian dog back to the Jin Xia Cave in Yuquan Mountain. Yang Jiao and Yunhua Xianzi stayed on Fangzhang Xianzhou to listen to the lecture on the Xuqing Great Way.
Thus spoke the Dao for a year. Hongyuan suddenly stopped speaking. The crowd woke up from the Great Way. They saw that Hongyuan was slightly frowning at this time, not speaking or making any sound. The crowd was puzzled. You Nao's clan bowed and asked: "Dare to ask the Holy Father, is there something?"
Hong Xuan's expression turned solemn. He said: "The great calamity has arrived. The heavenly mechanism is in chaos. It cannot be measured!"
Everyone was shocked to hear this. They all snapped their fingers, wanting to calculate it. But they saw that the heavenly machine was a piece of confusion, chaotic like hemp, and couldn't be calculated. They knew that Hong Xuan's words were not wrong. The heavenly machine had been disrupted, and the great calamity had arrived. That's why everyone's heart was thumping!
Hong Xuan comforted the crowd, saying: "You don't need to worry, just remember the master's order, close the doors and stay within the courtyard, nothing will happen!" He emphasized again, but actually wanted everyone to know, so as not to become someone else's substitute.
At that time, the thirty-first emperor of Shang Dynasty was Emperor Zhou, also known as King Zhou. King Zhou had a grand preceptor named Wen Zhong. He had a general named Wu Cheng Wang Huang Feihu; literature could bring peace to the country and military power could stabilize the nation. The three palaces were Queen Jiang in the central palace, Concubine Huang in the western palace, and Concubine Yang in the Xiangqing Palace. All three queens were virtuous, gentle, kind, and wise. King Zhou enjoyed great peace, the people were happy and content, the wind and rain were favorable, the country was prosperous and the people were at peace, the four barbarians surrendered, and the eight directions were obedient. The 800 vassal states all came to pay homage to Shang, with four major vassals leading the 800 minor vassals: Duke of Eastern Lu Jiang Huan Chu, residing in Eastern Lu; Southern Marquis Ou Chong Yu, Western Marquis Ji Chang, and Northern Marquis Chong Hou Hu. Each vassal state led 200 small vassal states, with a total of 800 vassal states belonging to Shang.
In the seventh year of King Zhou's reign, in the spring, it was suddenly reported that Yuan Fu Tong from Beihai had rebelled. King Zhou was enraged and ordered Taishi Wen Zhong to lead an army north to punish the rebels. Wen Zhong accepted the order, assembled his troops, and led a group of generals under his command to march north, unaware that by doing so, he would leave Chao Ge undefended, thus sowing the seeds of disaster!
One day, King Zhou ascended the throne, and Prime Minister Jiang Ziya stepped forward from his position, bowed down to the golden steps, held up his ceremonial tablet, and called out loudly: "Your Majesty, I report that tomorrow, March 15th, is the birthday of Nuwa Niangniang. I request Your Majesty to descend upon the Temple of the Ancestors to offer incense!"
King Zhou asked: "But didn't you know that Nüwa has great merits? Why did I lightly ride a chariot of ten thousand to go and offer incense?"
Shang Rong replied, "Your Majesty should know that the Goddess Nüwa is an ancient goddess with sacred virtues. She was born with a sacred heart and once created humans together with the Holy Father on Mount Buzhou. She is the ancestral mother of our people! In ancient times, Gonggong's head touched Mount Buzhou, causing the sky to tilt northwest and the earth to sink southeast. Nüwa then used five-colored stones to repair the blue sky; thus, she had merits for the people, and the common folk established a shrine to repay her kindness. If we worship this auspicious god in the morning, the four seasons will be peaceful and prosperous, the country's fortune will last long, the wind and rain will be harmonious, and disasters will disappear. This is the true god who blesses the country and protects its people; Your Majesty should go and offer incense!"
King Zhou nodded and said: "As you have advised!"
On the second day, Wu Cheng Wang Huang Feihu opened the way, and the officials followed. The royal carriage arrived in front of the parents' palace. Zhou Wang entered the parents' palace under the escort of the officials. As soon as he entered the palace, he saw that there were five holy statues inside the palace. Hongyuan and Nüwa Niangniang stood in front, and below them were the two ancestors of humanity, Youchaoshi and Suirenshi. Zhou Wang asked: "Why are there five godly statues?"
Shang Rong first bowed to the five statues, then stood up and reported: "Your Majesty, the one standing with the Holy Mother is the Holy Father Hongyuan. In ancient times, the Holy Father helped the Holy Mother create our human tribe on Mount Buzhou. He is one of the Four Pure Sages; the three people below the Holy Father are our human tribe's sacred teachers Kong Xuan and our ancestors You Chao and Suiren, who led our human tribe to resist the evil forces of the heavenly emperor Tian when he slaughtered our human tribe. Our human tribe was able to survive until now thanks to their great efforts. Therefore, from the founding of our dynasty to the present, every generation has worshiped the five statues with the intention of showing filial piety to all descendants of our human tribe."
King Zhou heard this and said to the crowd of ministers: "This is indeed something that cannot be refused!" After speaking, he took incense from the hands of his attendants and led the crowd of ministers in making a grand bowing ceremony towards the divine image above.
At this moment, a strong gust of wind blew in, lifting the curtains and revealing the face of Nüwa. King Zhou's body shook, his head spun, and he felt dizzy when he saw Nüwa's face. He didn't know what had happened to him, but suddenly he felt that Hongyuan, who was standing beside Nüwa, was so annoying. A surge of anger rose from nowhere and filled his chest. He brushed off his sleeve and said, "Bring me a brush and ink!"
Here is the translation:
A eunuch took up a brush and ink, and King Zhou wrote a poem on the wall. The officials looked at it and were frightened out of their wits. The poem read: "The phoenix's precious canopy is an extraordinary sight, all adorned with cleverly crafted gold and jade. The distant mountains are a deep green, the sleeves dance in the misty rain. The pear blossoms compete with the rain to be beautiful, the peonies are surrounded by smoke and show off their charms. But if I can just move my seductive charm, I'll take back the joy of serving the king." It was clearly an obscene poem about Nuwa. Before the officials could even react, King Zhou ordered: "Come, destroy all the gods' images except for Nuwa's!"
There were soldiers who wanted to go forward and smash the four statues, but Prime Minister Shang Rong stopped them. Shang Rong went forward and bowed his head, saying: "I dare to report to Your Majesty, today you not only recite obscene poems to blaspheme the sage, but also want to destroy the sacred images, without any pious heart. I wish Your Majesty to wash it with water, so as to avoid this matter from spreading out, lest the world say that the king has lost virtue, and when the time comes, great chaos will arise, then my Shang Dynasty's ancestral temple will be in danger!"
This is a loyal speech, if it were in peacetime, King Zhou would still be able to listen, but today he seems to have changed into another person. His face turned black with rage, and he shouted: "I am the master of the nine states, everything under heaven belongs to me, wherever I go, no one dares to disobey! Are you trying to defy my orders today?" After finishing speaking, he drew out his long sword from his waist and walked up to the statue of Hong Xuan, striking it down with one blow. The statue crashed to the ground, scattering into pieces. He didn't stop there, but continued to destroy the statues of Kong Xiang and San Ren, leaving only the statue of Nüwa Niangniang standing alone, looking desolate and bleak.
All the ministers were also stunned, a chill ran from their hearts to the top of their heads, and they stared blankly at King Zhou's loss of composure, repeating the same phrase in their minds: "Cheng Tang is doomed!"
King Zhou smashed four sacred statues, slightly relieving his anger, and ignored the crowd of ministers. He left the palace where his parents lived, threw the long sword in his hand at the plaque above the gate, and the sword cut down the plaque, shattering it into pieces on the ground.
King Zhou mounted his imperial carriage and ignored all his ministers, shouting an order as he drove off towards the Shou Xian Gong.
When Zhou Wang went far away, the ministers came back to their senses, and for a moment they were all stunned. Wu Cheng Wang Huang Feihu was the first to react, and he rushed out of the palace, leading a group of soldiers to chase after Zhou Wang's carriage. A group of officials also chased after him, leaving only Shang Rong to say to Bi Gan: "Please wash it with water!" After finishing speaking, he sighed and walked out of the palace, looking at the fragments on the ground, stomping his feet, and sighing to the sky: "The ancestors of Cheng Tang are above! The king's actions today will surely be punished by the gods, not because Shang Rong did not speak up, but because Rong is incompetent!" His expression was sorrowful.
Bi Gan also secretly sighed, and took some clear water to wash away the licentious poems on the powder wall. After leaving the palace gate, he departed with Shang Rong. However, the washed-away licentious poems somehow reappeared, as if they had never been touched before, crystal clear!
Above the nine heavens, Zhunti Daoren was leisurely driving his cloud chariot back to the west when he suddenly felt a stir in his heart. He focused his attention and saw that ten miles ahead of him, a figure had appeared silently and without warning. The figure stood quietly above the nine heavens, gazing at Zhunti Daoren with an air of detachment - it was none other than Pangu Xuanqing Jinque Tianzun Hongyuan!
Zhun Ti Dao's heart skipped a beat, and he silently sighed: What was bound to come would eventually come, it's just that he hadn't expected it to come so soon! He also quietly looked at Hong Xuan, both of them speechless.
It is: The heavenly mechanism is chaotic and the great calamity appears; Zhunti's magical powers confuse King Mochou!
