Chapter 14 Wang Su Ya's Worries
"Your Excellency, Your Excellency, please save me, I don't want to leave the palace, I still want to be loyal to the king and to you."
Crawling to Xia Yongfang's feet, Xia Fu hugged his legs with one hand and begged pitifully with a nose full of snot and tears.
Frowning, Xia Yongfang's face was filled with disgust and disdain. He suppressed the urge to kick Xia Fu away and said: "What's the use of asking me? You should go ask Father King and Xia Tian. If Xia Tian is willing to forgive you, then Father King will likely give you a lighter punishment."
"Right, right, summer."
A desperate person will grasp at a straw. Xia Yongfang gave Xia Fuqi inspiration, causing him to turn around nervously and rush straight towards Xia Tian.
"Master Hou, Master Hou, please save me, I beg of you, I beg of you, save me. Good people will be rewarded with good fortune."
Rolling on the ground, tightly hugging Xia Tian's legs, Xia Fu begged for mercy with a spoiled and mischievous expression.
Gazing coldly at Xia Fu, who was lying on the ground like a mangy dog, Xia Tian's eyes were devoid of any sympathy. With a swift kick, he sent Xia Fu flying and bellowed: "You reap what you sow, you're not worthy of sympathy! Get out of my sight!"
Xiatian's actions were very cold and inhumane, Wang Su Ya saw it and slightly furrowed her brow, seeming to have a heart of mercy, she slightly turned her head away.
Xia Yongfang and Hu Meier also looked at Xia Tian with new eyes, the two of them being relatively familiar with him, knowing that he had always been somewhat soft-hearted, or to put it nicely, warm in temperament, but not so nicely, weak-willed.
Today, Xia Tian's usual behavior and actions have undergone a fundamental change. The two of them were already surprised in their hearts. He kicked away Xia Fu's cold foot, letting the two know that Xia Tian was really different now.
Kicked away by one foot, Xia Fu still didn't give up and continued to pounce forward, but was dodged by Xia Tian with a turn of his body, and fell to the ground with a thud.
"Someone, take Xiaofu away for me."
A loud shout outside the door, Xia Wutang said sternly.
"Yes, Your Highness."
Four men in armor immediately entered the gate and pinned down Xia Fu, one of them lifted one of Xia Fu's limbs and carried him out.
"Your Highness, Your Highness, I know I was wrong, please forgive me..."
Xiafu's wailing voice came from outside the door, getting farther and farther away, smaller and smaller, until it was completely inaudible.
"Master Hu, regarding the matter of canceling the engagement between Xia Tian and Hu Mei'er in the summer, is my verdict to your satisfaction?"
He withdrew his gaze from afar and fell on Hu San Dao, asking with a faint smile.
"Satisfied, satisfied, I'm very satisfied."
Hu San Dao repeatedly agreed.
"That's good."
Nodding in satisfaction, he looked at Xia Yongfang again. Xia Wutang continued to ask: "Xia Yongfang, the murder case of the free trade market, do you have any objections to my handling?"
"No objections."
Xia Yongfang shook his head repeatedly.
"Alright then, let's disperse."
With a wave of his hand, leaving behind a sentence, Xia Wutang got down from his chair and left first.
Xia Wutang left, and the others found it meaningless to stay any longer, so they all got up and left. As Xia Tian and Xia Yongfang walked out of the main hall side by side, they glared at each other, their eyes almost spitting fire.
Out of the palace, Xia Yongfang and Zhang Huan went their separate ways. Those who lagged behind were Xia Tian, Wang Su Ya, and Hu San Dao father and daughter.
"Mr. Hu, I advise you to have a correct mind of your own, and never be tied to the chariot of wrong path for the sake of maintaining your face or anything else, otherwise, you will end up in total destruction and disappearance."
Xia Tian smiled and intercepted Hu San Dao who was about to leave, his expression as gentle as a spring breeze.
Hu Mei'er, who had been feeling down all along, suddenly jumped up upon hearing this and scolded Xia Tian like a shrew: "Xia Tian, what are you saying? What do you mean by that?"
The divorce didn't go through, and instead she was the one who got divorced. Hu Mei'er had already been dealt a heavy blow, and Xia Tian's cold words completely set her off, transforming her into an angry mother hen.
Staring at Hu Mei's eyes, Xia Tian said coldly: "What do you mean? You're very clear about it yourself. Do you really think your means are so clever that you can manipulate everyone to applaud for you? You're too naive and underestimate the people of the world. Sooner or later, you'll reap what you've sown."
Leaving this sentence behind, without waiting for Hu Mei'er and Hu San Dao's reaction, Xia Tian directly supported Wang Su Ya and left without looking back.
On the way back, there were only Wang Suya and Xia Tian, without that annoying guy Xia Fu. At Wang Suya's request, the two of them rode in the same carriage.
The horse carriage had just started when Wang Su Ya asked eagerly: "Xiao Tian, that thing about you killing dozens of people, is it really true?"
"It's true."
Xia Tian answered in a low voice.
"Really? How can this be okay? That's dozens of lives at stake. Besides, didn't you used to be afraid of killing people?"
For a moment, Wang Su Ya couldn't accept it and asked in disbelief.
"Hold on to the restless Wang Suya, let her bright and beautiful eyes meet his own, and Xia Tian said calmly: 'Mother, you don't have to panic, no matter what changes I've undergone, I am still your son, this is something that will never change.'"
Pausing for a moment, Xia Tian continued firmly: "As for my change, I just don't want to be bullied. After this incident, I've come to realize that if you're kind to people, they'll take advantage of you; if you're gentle with horses, they'll ride roughshod over you. Just because I won't kill anyone doesn't mean others won't kill me."
The first sentence made Wang Su Ya stand there for a long time, and it took her a lot of effort to digest this point, but in her heart, she still didn't feel completely at ease.
Her inherent kind nature made her unwilling to have blood on her hands in the summer, and she couldn't help but solemnly advise: "Xiao Tian, being tough is nothing, but whatever you do, don't take the evil path, killing people at will or bullying the weak."
"I know, Mother, so don't worry. I won't learn any bad habits. Those people I killed in the free trade market weren't good people anyway, they all had it coming to them, so you don't have to worry about them, Mother."
He solemnly promised in his mouth, Xia Tian softly comforted Wang Su Ya.
Good people, bad people, kind people, evil people, the criteria for judgment here in Xia Tian's eyes are not that clear-cut. In his heart, brute force is the only truth that matters.
Of course, these thoughts would not be shared with Wang Su Ya during the summer, lest she worry. As a man reborn, if he still cannot let his mother live in peace and happiness, Xiatian would be unworthy of being the Great Luo Golden Immortal or the Palace Master of the Immortal's Abode.
"This is good, this way I can rest assured."
Wang Su Ya felt much more at ease, her anxious expression easing up a lot, yet she didn't forget to continue reminding him: "Also, Xiao Tian, from now on, you should try your best to minimize killing karma. Even if you encounter bad people, give them a chance to reform themselves."
