The torch has been passed down for 700 years

The torch has been passed down for 700 years through 94 generations

Zhang Shuobo took down the Qingyun Mountain Ape Arm Camp at night, and ordered the main force to search the mountain and capture the remaining Qingyun Mountain party. Within two or three days, they searched the entire Qingyun Mountain.

There is only one fish that has slipped through the net, namely Zhuang Hanmo. He is a land-roaming immortal of the Golden Elixir stage and a great master of the Yin-Yang family. Wanting to make others unable to find him is not an easy task? Even if he were to annihilate Zhang Shuye's army, it would be nothing more than a trivial effort in his eyes.

Unfortunately, the Yin-Yang family's Taoist magic cannot be used to kill people at will, as killing too many people would shorten one's lifespan.

During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Kongming was killed too many people, damaging his lifespan, and had to use the technique of avoiding stars to extend his life. This is why he was taken advantage of by Gongshu Family, otherwise, with his ability, he would not have died so early.

Zhuangzi Mo was slowly cultivating in the mountains, guarding the stone stele of the 108 Demon Kings. Zhang Shu Ye was building a camp on Qingyun Mountain, but he didn't pay attention to him either. Wu Song conquered Qingzhou and Lai State, leading his army to attack Chen Hui's last stronghold, Dengzhou, but he still ignored him.

On this day, Zhuang Hanmo suddenly stood up and said to the child: "I have a Taoist friend who is riding a crane westward, I must go to see him off. You carry this stone tablet and follow me." The child carried the stone tablet, Zhuang Hanmo held up a yellow umbrella, and the two of them rose into the clouds and mist, arriving at Luoyang City, landing in front of a thatched hut west of Yichuan County.

In front of the thatched cottage, two people had been waiting for a long time. When they saw Zhuang Huanshuai, they fell to the ground and wept bitterly, saying: "Master Uncle, Master has been waiting for you for a very long time."

Zhuang Xiu hastily walked into the thatched cottage, where he saw a person lying on the sickbed, looking emaciated and weak. It was none other than Cheng Yi, the great Confucian sage, who was barely clinging to life. Two disciples were attending to him by his side.

Cheng Yi, Cheng Hao and Zhuang Hanmo ambushed Zhou Tong several years ago, but unexpectedly the three were seriously injured and killed. Cheng Hao was beheaded on the spot, Zhuang Hanmo's face was disfigured, and Cheng Yi also suffered serious injuries, with his dantian being shattered by a single sword from Zhou Tong, after which he became a useless person and hid in Luoyang to recover from his illness.

Today, Cheng Yi finally reached the end of his years and departed on a crane to the west.

Cheng Yi saw that Zhuangzi and Han Fei had arrived, his complexion gradually became ruddy, and he suddenly felt invigorated, getting out of bed. He summoned four disciples to kneel on the ground and said: "Brother Dao, what do you think of these four? Can they carry on the teachings of the Sage?"

Zhuang Xianmo knew he had the intention of entrusting his orphan, raised his eyes to look at the four people, and saw that the four were Xie Liangsuo, You Ding, Yang Shi, and Lü Dalin, all of whom were Cheng Yi's favorite disciples.

Yang Shi originally followed Cheng Yi, after Cheng Yi's death, he learned that Cheng Yin was seriously injured and came to Yiquan to recover. He and You Xian hurried thousands of miles to arrive just as Old Man Cheng was sitting upright and cultivating his spirit. A heavy snow fell outside the door, so the two men stood outside for a whole day and night.

Cheng Yi had originally intended to test his patience, and had already known that he was waiting outside the door. He woke up and exclaimed in surprise: "Huh? The two of you haven't left yet?" Appreciating their sincere intentions, he then imparted all of his Taoist teachings to them.

This is the allusion of Cheng Men Li Xue, and Yang Shi and You Zuo also became one of the four great disciples of the Cheng school.

Zhuang Hanmo looked at the facial features of the four people and deduced for a long time, saying: "The future achievements of these four people will not match yours, but they are not far off."

Cheng Yi said with joy: "It's not far from each other, that's enough. In the past, Master Zhou founded Confucianism, seeing reason in the Analects and righteousness in the Book of Changes. People at that time did not understand his grand meaning, only my brother and I knew that this was indeed the essence of Confucianism. Thus, the study of principle was passed down from one to two, and was able to be continued."

By the time of my generation and that of my elder brother, Confucianism still hasn't flourished, but we can find four people who understand it, which is twice as many as in Master Zhou's generation. In the future, when the torch is passed on, there will be more and more people who understand Confucianism. If another sage appears, Confucianism will surely bloom everywhere! Brother Dao, calculate for me, when will my Confucian school produce another sage?

After a long time of calculation, Zhuang Hanmo finally finished and said: "In another twenty-three years, there must be a saint born..."

Zhuang Xian's words were left unspoken, when suddenly he saw Xie Liangzuo, You Zhen, Yang Shi and Lü Dalin kneeling on the ground, speechless and stunned. He looked up to see Cheng Yi sitting on the couch with a smile on his face, but in reality, he had passed away long ago.

Zhuang Han Mo was overcome with grief, fell to the ground and wept loudly, tears streaming down like rain. "Brother Dao left so suddenly," he lamented, "but now I have no one to share my heart with!" Yang Shi and the others wailed in sorrow, unable to speak.

After a long time, Zhuang Hanmo stood up and said: "The sage of Confucianism will be born 23 years later. He will experience hardships, first learn from Taoism, then from Buddhism, and finally understand the meaning of righteousness. From then on, Confucianism will flourish for 700 years without interruption."

Yang Shi wiped away his tears and stood up, saying: "Master Uncle, what about 700 years later?"

Zhuangzi's ink remained silent for a long time, and slowly said: "Seven hundred years later, morality will not exist, all laws will be destroyed, not only Confucianism, but also Yin Yang, Taoist, Buddhist, and various schools of thought will no longer exist."

Having said that, he ordered the child to carry the stone and leave. "If there can be a prosperous world for 700 years, Brother Cheng should be satisfied. The saint with the surname Zhu will surely be born in Huizhou, Wuyuan. It is said that success or failure depends on oneself...

"Victory is joyful, defeat is also joyful……" Xie Liangzuo, You Zhen, Yang Shi and Lü Dalin's words before Zhuangzi left had been savored thousands of times, yet no one could make sense of them. It wasn't until the sage was born thirty-one years later that this prophecy was forgotten by people, unaware that "xi" and "xi" are homophones.

Yang Shi and others buried Cheng Yi, then discussed: "Master Zhuang's last words were unclear, but we can't wait for the birth of a sage. We must go find our own disciples to pass on the teachings of Li."

Yang Shi said: "I have completed my studies and can enter the imperial court as an official, I will pay attention to a good woman."

Yu Zhen and Yang Shi were on good terms, saying: "I am with Brother Yang."

Xie Liangzuo said: "I once disobeyed the emperor and cannot enter the court. I am willing to inherit my teacher's academy."

Lv Dalin said: "I'll still return to Lantian. The three of us will be separated by rivers and lakes, but if something happens, just let me know."

The four bid each other farewell and leave, the four Confucian disciples have determined their own future, at the same time, the various schools of thought also arranged the fate of their next generation.

In Xiangzhou, Tangyin County, Yonghe Township, Xiaotie Village, a young man covered his head and crouched on the ground, shouting: "Old Zhou, stop beating him, or someone will die!"

An old man next to him was so angry that his hands and feet were trembling, sitting on a stone bench panting, throwing away the bamboo stick in his hand, and angrily saying: "How did my Zhou Tong accept you as a lazy disciple? He's really getting senile!"

The young man climbed up, grinning and said: "Who asked you to take me in? I didn't kneel down and beg you!"

Zhou Dang was so angry that he almost died, and he glared at him with his eyes wide open, pointing his finger and saying: "I have taken in four disciples in my life, and you don't count as one of them. My first disciple, Lu Junyi from Hebei, is invincible in the world, and now he has become a general, leading tens of thousands of soldiers, and it won't be difficult for him to enter the imperial court and become a prime minister in the future. My third disciple, Lin Chong from Beijing, is also unmatched in his spear skills, and he has also become a general, with the potential to become a marshal in the future, controlling all the soldiers and horses in the world. My second disciple is even more exceptional, and now he is the national teacher of the current dynasty, with millions of people below him, and even Lu Junyi and Lin Chong have to listen to him! When they were learning their skills, which one of them wasn't trembling with fear, afraid that I wouldn't teach them? I only taught them martial arts, not a single word about military strategy!

You stubborn fool, refusing to learn! If your three senior brothers find out, they'll kill you!

That young man rolled his eyes and said, "Military strategy is not as interesting as martial arts, no wonder they don't study it..."

Zhou Tong almost vomited blood, and the young man continued: "I have a senior brother who is the national teacher, could it be that Wu Guo Shi? I heard he married eighty-eight concubines, each one as beautiful as a heavenly fairy, making people jealous. In the future, I also want to marry so many..."

Zhou Tong picked up the bamboo stick and hit him. The young man covered his head and ran around, shouting: "You allow him to marry but not me, Old Man Zhou, you're too biased!"

Zhou Tong was really vomiting blood this time, and he had no choice but to change his tactics. He took out a golden plaque from his bosom and tempted him, saying: "This is the commander's gold plaque of our military family. In the future, after you have learned it, with this gold plaque in hand, all disciples of the military family will listen to you. Even Lu Junyi Lin Chong would listen to you. Wu Song that scoundrel... probably wouldn't listen. Come, Peng Ju, memorize these military books..."

Thirty years of fame and fortune are but dust and dirt; eight thousand miles of road are but clouds and moon. The hero is still young and immature, yet already reckless and unbridled.

  *****

"Who was the first to wake up from a great dream? I have always known myself!"

On the top of Mount Hua in Huayin, a loud voice like a huge bronze bell suddenly rang out and echoed back and forth in the valley for a long time before it finally stopped. In the temple on the mountain, a sloppy Taoist priest hastily put on some clothes and then kicked the donkey's buttocks with great force at the door.

That donkey was sleeping, kicked awake, brayed loudly, and was quite dissatisfied with its master. The lazy man laughed and said: "You beast, you slept for a while, lived more than 100 years and still not satisfied?"

The donkey was not satisfied, it would rather not live more than a hundred years, and would rather gnaw on two carrots. The sloppy Taoist priest led the donkey, shouting to the temple: "Chongyang, you've also slept for over ten years, I've passed on all my skills to you, now I'm carefree and want to go down the mountain to travel and visit a few Taoist friends, then ascend to heaven. If you get bored waiting on the mountain, you can wander around..."

A sleepy-eyed young man walked out of the temple, stammering: "Master, you only taught me how to sleep. When did you pass on your skills to me?"

The old man shook his head and said in a low voice, "Wooden brain!" He turned over and rode on the donkey, patting the donkey's head and laughing, "In ancient times, flying up to heaven was just a myth. But you and I, brothers, have actually achieved it!" Riding the donkey, he went down the mountain with a clatter.

"Who shall I go find to have some fun with?" Lazy Daoist said as he descended from Mount Hua, only to see firecrackers booming everywhere below the mountain and lanterns hung up all around, it turned out that it was already New Year's.

However, for an immortal like Chen Bo, the New Year is a non-event. Having lived for over 200 years, even the best things become meaningless.

"Wherever I go, whoever I catch is it!"

The Taoist rode a donkey, wandering around, and the people of his time had long since died, but the mountains and rivers remained unchanged. The Taoist ran into the rice field, grabbed a big toad, and spoke to the toad for half a day, then continued on his way in a crazy and confused manner.

The toad blinked its eyes and stopped catching insects to eat. Instead, it began to face the sun and moon, inhaling and exhaling spiritual energy.

Old Chen caught another little fox in the woods, leaned into the fox's ear and whispered a few words. The little fox listened with a smile, and after a few years it turned into a beautiful young woman who went around seducing men everywhere.

Chen Bo walked to Mount Longhu, and a Taoist on Mount Longhu rolled down and crawled down, kneeling on the ground and kowtowing: "Master, my old master is coming down!"

"Good-for-nothing!" The man and the donkey both raised their noses, looked up at the sky, and ignored him.

On the top of Dragon and Tiger Mountain, Zhang Tian Shi passed on to his son the precious treasures: San Wu Zhan Xie Yin Yang Sword, Yang Ping Zhu Du Gong Yin Seal, Flat Top Crown, Eight Seals Robe, Square Skirt, and Red Shoes. He instructed Little Zhang Tian Shi, "The lineage of Taoist teachings has been interrupted for 700 years; this is not your fault or mine, it's just the will of heaven. You only need to preserve these 700 years of Taoist teachings and they won't be lost." He also led a donkey down the mountain.

Chen Bo waited for a moment, and saw a 7 or 8 year old shepherd boy with a delicate face riding down on a donkey. He smiled and said: "You can't take it with you when you ascend to heaven, what's the point of riding it?"

The shepherd boy nodded and said: "That's right." He got off the donkey, drove it into the mountain, and set it free.

Then, a strange scene appeared: a Taoist priest riding on a donkey, walking with a swagger, accompanied by an adorable little boy. Everyone who saw this blamed the Taoist priest, saying: "What kind of father rides a donkey and lets his child walk? How shameless!"

The Daoist then came down and changed into a cowherd riding a donkey. The crowd again pointed and criticized: "What kind of son rides a donkey while making his old father walk? He's really unfilial!"

The shepherd boy and the Taoist both rode on a donkey, and someone criticized them: "You have no humanity! This donkey is so weak, how can you bear to ride it with two people?"

The shepherd boy and the Taoist priest no longer ride donkeys. Others criticize them, saying: "Having a donkey but not riding it, these two are useless!"

The shepherd boy and the Taoist priest couldn't help but burst into loud laughter, and the donkey also happily brayed loudly.

"This is how the world is, this is how the Han people are, this is how the Liao people are, this is how the Mongols are, this is how the barbarians are, everyone is like this. Two Taoist friends, do you still have any unfulfilled wishes?"

The shepherd thought for a moment and said: "First go find Master Zhuang, bring the stone slab back, then go take a look at that national teacher, and make a decision afterwards."

The Taoist and the donkey both nodded and slowly headed towards the capital.

"Walk slowly and you will arrive in the capital just as he is returning."
