The Second Volume Chapter 7 (Part 2) The Ghost in My Belly

  "Who is it?" I shouted loudly, the surroundings were silent, only the sound of the river rushing. I rushed towards the meatball, there was nothing around. Was I seeing a ghost? I vigilantly looked around, what was that little white light after all? Why did it always secretly stare at me? Wouldn't there be a ghost hiding in the belly of the sea beast?

  In the following days, I started to pay attention secretly, but never saw that little white light again. The sea monster seemed to be swimming steadily, and I was completely at ease, thinking that I had narrowly escaped the pursuit of the three brothers.

  On the river surface, there are often floating teeth and bones, which may be the remains of prey swallowed by sea beasts. In the past few days, I have been eating and sleeping a lot, feeling a bit stuffy, so I started to wander around everywhere. After passing through the dense flesh buds, I walked for over ten miles, and in front of me appeared a crisscross network of transparent tubes, very long and thick, like a giant net covering everything. Inside the tubes, there were fish swimming, semi-transparent with clear skeletons visible. I curiously walked closer, pinched the tube, which was cool and soft to the touch, and the fish inside were leisurely blowing bubbles, not panicked at all.

  A loud "bang" sounded, and the back of my head was suddenly struck, the pain almost made me faint. I turned around, but saw nothing. I shouted loudly: "Who is it?"

  No one answered, and the back of my head was knocked again. I was shocked and frightened, had I really encountered a ghost? A ghost living in the belly of a sea beast? It seemed strange to think about it.

  I stood still for a moment, then continued walking forward. "Thud", I fell to the ground. It turned out that at some point, the hem of my lotus robe had been tied into a knot, binding my legs together. No wonder I tripped and fell. I untied the knot in my robe, damn it! Who was playing tricks on me?! In my heart, I knew that the other person was just playing a prank. If they really wanted to kill me, I would have died several times already. Clenching my fists, I very sensibly said: "I am Lin Fei, and I came to this place unintentionally. If I have offended anyone, please forgive me, master of this land."

  "Whoosh", it was like a sudden rain in mid-air, falling on my hair. I reached out to touch it, and it was a pile of black mud, emitting a fishy smell. Dammit, it seemed like feces! I couldn't hold back anymore, and cursed loudly: "Which son of a turtle dares to mess with me? Come out if you have the guts!"

  In the distance, a white light was tightly attached to the transparent tube and slid over. Was it playing tricks on me? I jumped up and pounced towards the white light. The white light flickered and seemed to be teasing me intentionally. When I chased closer, it quickly escaped, and once it had shaken me off, it would remain still again, waiting for me to catch up.

  Like this, around a transparent tube, the guy and I started playing hide-and-seek. Gradually, I chased further and further away, until I came to my senses and found myself standing on top of a very high tube, panting heavily.

  The white light suddenly disappeared.

  I looked around and saw a layer of sponge-like substance in front of me, with many white particles embedded on it. In the center of the substance, there was a half-circular eggshell covering it, which was tens of feet in size. The eggshell was smooth in the middle, and its top end was covered with long, thin white fluff, hanging down densely like silk ribbons swaying in the air. I curiously pulled at the fluff, and to my surprise, the eggshell opened slightly. When I peeked inside, it was pitch black, and a howling gust of wind blew out, blowing my hair straight back. I was startled and quickly let go of the fluff, and the eggshell closed immediately.

  Inside the eggshell, I don't know where it leads to, how can there be strong winds? I was very surprised, after a while, I felt a bit sleepy, but I didn't dare sleep, afraid that guy would suddenly appear, so I had to hold on tight, opened my eyes wide and stayed alert. Unconsciously, the heavy drowsiness surged up to my eyelids, I couldn't support it anymore, and fell asleep lying on the pipe.

  Woke up from a dream and indeed suffered bad luck!

  I was stripped bare, my white underpants hanging from the pipe, swaying back and forth. Damn it, this guy is really perverted! I hurriedly felt my little brother, fortunately, he's fine. I was about to grab my underpants when a sharp pain hit my scalp, and I couldn't move. Ahh! My hair was tightly stuck to the pipe!

  I couldn't help but laugh and cry at the same time, so I had to untie my long hair first before going to get the lotus robe. As I glanced over, the lotus robe was still swaying back and forth, as if there was an invisible ghost inside, dancing with joy.

  "Who's in there?" I growled.

  Still no one spoke up, and Lian Yi suddenly spun around the pipe like a windmill, whirring loudly.

  "This guy is neither soft nor hard, he's obviously playing with me. However, it seems that he doesn't want to hurt me either. Is it really a ghost? I held my breath, plucked up the courage, and pounced forward, grabbing onto the lotus robe. A white light flashed, shooting out of the lotus robe and flying upwards."

  It's really this white light that's playing tricks on me! I hastily put on my clothes, and the white light was moving back and forth along the * . I knew I couldn't catch up with it, so I could only stare at it sullenly. What kind of monster is it? Until now, I haven't even seen its appearance clearly, only seeing a white and shiny point of light.

  The white light suddenly jumped onto the eggshell, pulled open the white fluff, and the eggshell immediately opened a crack. The white light drilled in, and the eggshell closed again.

  "My dad's not free to play with you." I muttered, leaving by the original route. Since he can't be provoked, he can at least be avoided. Who would have thought that this guy would cling to me like a ghost? The next few days were like a nightmare, and I suffered miserably. Every time I woke up, my face was either covered with wet mud or there were fish bones stuck in my nostrils. The worst was today - as soon as I opened my eyes, I saw red hair scattered all over the floor. And when I touched my forehead, it felt cool and smooth - half of my hair had been cut off!

  Damn it! I can't stand it anymore, I'm determined to find that guy. Otherwise, if this goes on, I'll really be played to death. I searched everywhere and came back in front of the transparent tube with a net-like distribution. In the highest tube, a flat fish was swimming slowly, and on its head, a white light was flashing!

  How did that guy get inside the pipe? I was stunned, the pipe from head to tail, connected to the surrounding *, without any entrance or hole, how did he drill in?

  Unless it's really a ghost!
