  Mooncake

Qiu Qiu looked at the mooncakes in the bag that they had made for the festival, remembering how happy they were when making them, and how they had suddenly produced so many. But ironically, now only she was left, and none of the people she wanted to share with were around.

She stood quietly by the door for a while without going in and then left.

Although he had a mind to take care of this little junior sister, after all, he was the first disciple of Yu Shui Zhen Ren and the big senior brother of the Lian Hua Peak.

There were too many eyes on him.

Jing Yuan had once read a sentence in a book: Those who are in power must be restrained.

He can't show too much bias, otherwise it might not be good for Little Shifu, but rather harm.

After Jingyuan went back, he found a miscellaneous disciple and asked him to run errands, sending some things over to Qingchu.

  That's all he can do.

But Qiuqiu was like a stubborn seed, no matter where she was scattered, she could take root and grow with the vitality of wild grass, tenaciously and unyieldingly.

Even if no one taught her, no one managed her, Qiuqiu still practiced according to her original habits with precision. It seems that not being managed is also a good thing. At least Qiuqiu thought she didn't need someone telling her what to do and what not to do, like that Jingfei Shijie - of course, she wasn't a bad person, she was just spoiled, looking at Qiuqiu as if she were a poor beggar, with the air of a proud little hen.

Qiu Qiu neither disliked her nor liked her.

Jingfei only has older sisters and brothers, she can't find a sense of superiority in front of these people. But Qiūqi is different. Qiūqi doesn't have any backing or connections, is younger than her, started training later than her, and another thing, Jingfei thinks Qiūqi isn't even as good-looking as her.

So Jingfei became the person who came to Qiuqiu's place the most often.

It was probably Jinglan or Jingheng who persuaded her, so when Jingfei came for the second time, she brought several sets of clean clothes.

Although Qiuqiu didn't like her condescending attitude, she still thanked her and accepted the clothes. These clothes looked like they had been stored in a box for quite some time, and Jingfei herself said: "I made these two years ago, but I haven't worn them either, now they don't fit me well, but I think you'll look good in them."

  "Thank you, Teacher Jingfei."

Jingfei waved her hand generously: "Don't be polite. Look, there's nothing in this house, it must be very inconvenient for you? There isn't even a mirror... hmm, I'll come back and tell my sister to send some more things over."

Apart from the initial unpleasantness, Jing Fei gradually began to enjoy being a senior sister. Whatever she said, others had to listen and respond, and she finally got to show off her seniority.

On the basis of good mood, Jingfei also gave Qiūqi some kind reminders.

"The disciples of the main peak are all from the first generation, they speak and act with a hard air, everyone gives them some face. But those people on Pipa Peak don't need to be too polite to them, otherwise they think we're easy to bully and will take advantage of us." Jingfei whispered: "Last year during the school exam, our Lianhua Peak suppressed them, they've been holding their breath wanting to regain face this year. Normally when they see us, they speak as if they've eaten something bitter. If we encounter them, it's not a problem if there are many people, but if there are few people, we need to be careful. Shifu said we need to guard against them secretly doing evil."

It's not unexpected that there would be discord and infighting everywhere. Even among the three of them who were originally from the same sect, Jing Yi was still at odds with her, let alone in a place like Xiuyuan Mountain where there are many people and much competition, it's unusual if there isn't infighting.

Of course, Jing Fei didn't forget to show off her authority as a senior sister: "If you have any questions or difficulties with your practice, Shifu is probably too busy to help you. You can ask some of the other senior brothers and sisters for guidance, but don't try to figure it out on your own and end up going astray. I'm telling you, there's a senior brother at Zhushan who doesn't like to socialize with others, always practicing alone, and ended up getting possessed by an evil spirit."

  "What? How is it now?"

Qiu Qiu had been silent for half a day, and Jing Fei's words didn't have any sense of accomplishment. Now she finally hooked Xiao Yao's interest, and said with satisfaction: "I heard Shifu say that his dantian was shattered, his meridians were all crippled, he became a useless person, and couldn't practice anymore, so he was sent down the mountain. How scary! I heard that except for his eyeballs being able to move, everywhere else was paralyzed."

Qiu Qiu was also startled. Goodness, if he couldn't even practice, it would be enough to take his life, this one move and he couldn't move, this life couldn't take care of himself, sending him down the mountain would probably have no way to survive.

Practicing has risks, entering the profession requires caution.

Qiu Qiu firmly remembered a sentence her master taught her when she first started: follow the natural order. Cultivation isn't about using brute force, it relies more on comprehension and understanding.

This word "enlightenment" is too mysterious, some people practice for years and still don't have a bit of understanding, but some people can enter the door as soon as they start. Qiuqiu thinks she belongs to the kind that is not bad, not a genius, but not stupid either. Among the people she knows, probably the most talented one is Shi'er, who is always quietly pondering things, if she doesn't understand, who will?

Alas, Shi'er hasn't sent a letter either, and I don't know how she's doing now. Qiuqiu really misses her. Shi'er probably doesn't know that she has already arrived at Xiuyuan Mountain, and it's not convenient for her to send another message.

Qiu Qiu met Yu Shui Zhen Ren twice, but still had no news of her master or senior sister.

Apart from her, no one else really cares about Master's life or death. But she is young and incompetent, so what's the use of just worrying? Can worry bring people back to life?

Autumn came out from Yu Shui Zhen Ren's place with a listless and unhappy expression, she walked with her head down and almost bumped into two people coming from the opposite direction.

"How are you walking?" One of them, looking like eighteen or nineteen years old, wearing a blue shirt and carrying a green scabbard sword on his back, took the initiative to ask in an unpleasant tone: "What's your name?"

Jingqiu had never seen him before. There were only a few people coming and going on Lianhua Peak, so this person was definitely not from Lianhua Peak.

"My name is Jingqiu, I don't know what these two senior brothers are called?"

Perhaps it was her good attitude, so that person didn't bother him again. He snorted and said: "Let's go."

Jing Fei stood under a tree on one side, beckoning to her with his head down, and whispered in her ear: "Those two are from the main peak, look at their behavior, their eyeballs have grown to the top of their heads."

"Oh, what are they doing here?"

"It's probably for the sake of the exam." Jingfei didn't have time to chat with Qiūqiū anymore and had to hurry back to study.

It's already early winter, and the weather is getting colder by the day. Since the 15th is an important day for the school to test its students, as Jingfei mentioned before, everyone is intensifying their efforts. This last-minute cramming may not be effective, but it's better than nothing. Even if there isn't much actual improvement in skills, memorizing the formulas a bit more thoroughly might still come in handy and earn some face on that day.
