Chapter 57: Internal Explosion of Yin Energy

Chapter 57: Internal Explosion of Yin Energy

Five days have passed since entering.

Wang Chan didn't bother with the formal Daoist "100-day foundation-building" exercises, but instead ran to the top floor of the Qing Niao Building every day at noon and midnight, stood in the "Heavenly Earth Root Stake" posture, and repeatedly circulated his internal true energy along the Ren and Du meridians.

Although the "hundred days of foundation building" is not necessarily a must to be done for a hundred days, the specific situation depends on the individual's innate ability. Those with good innate abilities will naturally shorten their time, while those with poor innate abilities may take longer. However, this Taoist method requires persistence once started, and it is most taboo to give up halfway before achieving success. Although it is possible to restart later, it will be twice as difficult and troublesome.

Furthermore, Wang Chan also dislikes the city for being too noisy and not quiet enough, it's really not a place where one can focus on practicing their skills, so he only plans to make arrangements after receiving news from Zhou Lin in the capital.

Otherwise, it's a pity that the foundation is built halfway and cannot be persisted every day, and it will definitely be abandoned. It's also easy to be disturbed by others and disturb one's mind. Reading good books is better than singing songs.

Compared to boxing and martial arts, the Taoist practice of Qigong for health and longevity is clearly a way to achieve the greatest effect in the shortest amount of time. Although the process is arduous, the payoff is always proportional to the effort put in. With one move, Wang Chan pierced through his back's Du Meridian, and he was already very satisfied. In just a few days, he broke through the body's barriers and opened up the most critical meridian within himself, connecting the front and back of his body like a bridge between heaven and earth. Compared to the previous days and nights of hard work and gradual progress, he had saved himself at least two or three years' worth of time.

This made him even more interested in the three volumes of "Huang Ting Jing" he had.

Unfortunately, for now, he still has to stay in the provincial city and take care of Zhou Yahuan's daughter. Otherwise, if he were to return to Hu Tou Ling immediately, he could thoroughly study for half a year, and it wouldn't take a year before he would be able to make great progress on his foundation, successfully cultivating his Qi and transforming it into a powerful inner elixir through marrow washing and blood replacement.

Since the big incident at Jinhai Building a few days ago, Wang Chan hasn't heard any related news from any channel, and everything seems calm and quiet, which is somewhat strange. He only sees Lei Ting and Lei Xing, these two siblings, coming in and out, busier than before, almost invisible for a whole day, rushing to and fro, especially Lei Ting has recently added a few more worried looks between her eyebrows.

The lively and cheerful Lei Xing also looked a bit haggard. Every time he came to find Lei Ting, the siblings would rush into the top floor office, and often the sound of their arguments could be heard coming out, but it was unclear what they were fighting about. As for Wang Zhen, he was originally too lazy to care about these things, although he also knew that they must have some connection with his own affairs, since Lei Ting and her brother didn't say anything, he was happy to mind his own business.

When the sky falls, there will naturally be tall men to hold it up.

It was actually at the request of Lei Xing that he went to Jin Hai Lou to kill Liu Lao San, but this matter involved too many things and seemed to involve two upper-level families. The open and secret struggles between the families, although nothing has been seen in the past few days, but under the calm surface is a surging undercurrent, complex like a tangled mess.

Wang Chan vaguely felt that something was off, but he really didn't want to get entangled in other people's affairs again, wasting a lot of his training time. It was as if not long ago, he had clearly saved Zhou Lin from being kidnapped, but the result was that he was forced to leave the mountains and come to the city. If this time he got involved in Lei Ting and Lei Xing's matters again, heaven knows what kind of trouble would be waiting for him.

But things in the world are always like this, the more you don't want something to happen, the easier it is for it to happen.

The world is unpredictable, who can say for sure, and see clearly?

For several days, Lei Ting and her brother appeared less and less in Qing Niao's time, until later they almost only contacted by phone. And that Lin Yuan Shan Lin Gongzi also seemed to have no movement, as if he suddenly disappeared from Ha City.

If things continue like this, unless something unexpected happens, when the 15-day deadline arrives, whether or not Wang Chan receives news from Zhou Lin, he will have to settle with Zhou Yahuan and explain everything.

That day, Wang Chan stood on the top floor for two hours, slowly nourishing and warming up his internal energy, stimulating his blood vessels, organs, meridians, and acupoints with his breath. His spirit became more vigorous, his physical strength rapidly increasing, and in just a few days, he had surpassed his original peak physical condition by a notch.

Of course, his daily compulsory cross-practice kung fu will not fall, from midnight to dawn, the eastern white, just this time with an additional step, to absorb the sun's rising yang energy at dawn, which is already within the scope of Taoist breathing and longevity exercises.

  Welcome to our humble abode

The only drawback was that the herbs Wang Chan had brought from the mountains were all used up, and even the half-jar of Golden Web Wake Musk Butter was almost gone, which wouldn't last much longer. This made him, who was already accustomed to washing and tempering his body with herbs every day, feel somewhat uncomfortable.

Especially in the last few days, he has been constantly practicing Taoist secret methods, and his physical strength has increased rapidly. It is precisely when a large amount of energy is needed to replenish the body's consumption that Wang Chan's entire body is like a huge black hole, no matter how much supplement is added, it is as if he has been hungry for three days, with an empty stomach rumbling, feeling very uncomfortable.

Fortunately, Leiting was also a master of Wudang Neijiaquan, and she paid great attention to health preservation and nutrition in her daily life. She even had her own exclusive nutritionist and pharmacist to prepare every meal for her. Wang Chan followed Leiting's diet, eating and drinking, with each meal consisting of large amounts of high-quality meat, fish fins, bird's nest, and Chinese medicinal dishes, all in tenfold quantities as supplements. This made him feel slightly better.

The Ren Mai runs along the middle of the abdomen, regulating the body's yin energy and blood. The Du Mai runs along the back of the spine, governing the body's yang meridians. When these two channels are unobstructed, the body's qi, blood, yin, and yang immediately blend together in harmony, circulating endlessly. The internal organs, bones, tendons, and fasciae associated with these two channels, which have been storing up true inner energy for a long time, become fully connected and harmonized, allowing movement to occur without any hindrance.

As soon as the seabed is mentioned, the whole body's energy and blood surge instantly, with a degree of movement and strength that is at least three times stronger than before. It's as if a riverbed that has been stagnant and dry for years has suddenly been cleared and renovated, and the flow of energy and blood is like a long river pouring out, all at once. The whole person seems to have become much stronger, with a thickened vital energy.

Ren Du Er Mai is the root of Qi, what is called "breaking through" is actually returning to the root.

When a person is born, all the meridians in his body are open, but later life thoroughly violates the natural law, and acquired replaces innate, so the yuanqi cannot penetrate the two meridians, and can only be achieved through practice.

Now Wang Chan has penetrated these two meridians, and first there is a sensation of extension upwards and downwards, communicating with infinity. Naturally, the twelve regular meridians are connected, including the six yin and yang meridians of the hands and feet, causing the whole body's qi and blood to be full and complete, spirit and energy being perfect.

At this time, Wang Chan had just returned to his own practice room from the top floor balcony, preparing to test whether his "Exploding Mountain Thunder" skill in the horizontal practice method had been improved. When he came out of Tiger Head Ridge, the thirteen Taibao's horizontal practice had already reached a "bottleneck", and relying solely on hard work and training, progress was extremely slow. The internal explosive yin energy within the Exploding Mountain Thunder realm could not yet be done with ease, freely at will.

  Welcome to our humble abode

He sat on the cushion on the ground, flipping through the "Huang Ting Jing" in his hand. The sweltering heat of midsummer had no effect on his mood, and the central air conditioner was not turned on in the room. However, Wang Chan did not feel as sultry and irritable as before, but instead felt a sense of openness when the hot wind blew into the room through the window, making him feel unstuffiness.

When the two meridians are connected as one, the true energy inside his body begins to circulate endlessly. Whether sitting or walking, every move is natural and reasonable, with the feeling of "sitting forgetfulness" described by Zhuangzi in "The Great Master", where "the limbs fall off (no sensation in the four limbs), wisdom is dismissed (absolutely no distractions), leaving form and knowledge, merging with the great void".

The more rational and unobstructed the circulation of qi and blood within the body, the more it can be self-sufficient. In martial arts, this is what is called "immune to cold and heat".

As his mind gradually cleared, Wang Chan felt a sense of clarity in his heart. According to the records of the Horizontal Refining Method, he moved his limbs and torso, tendons and bones, skin and hair, inhaling and exhaling, but could no longer hear the crisp cracking sounds of his skeleton. The soft popping sounds that had been like falling pearls were now a continuous hum. With a slight exertion of his true energy, his lower abdomen suddenly contracted and released, and a hot flow surged up from it.

The Taoist cultivation is the same as Neijiaquan, seeking unity of heaven and man. The warm current in his body is the true power of his twenty years of hard work and training in Quanfa, which has only been fully integrated into his body after unblocking the most important two-inch meat meridian in the past few days, forming a massive scale, transforming from the mountain streams of the past to the Yangtze River of today.

Wang Chan carefully sensed the subtle changes in his internal energy, closed his eyes and stood on the ground, but the muscles on his body began to slowly change color. His ancient bronze skin was gradually replaced by a texture as tough as fine steel, finally revealing a sharp and stern color like a knife edge, with a hint of silver light flickering all over his body.

The physical body has become like a golden screen, no longer resembling a living person.

This is the most remarkable change brought to Wang Chan by the Taoist Nine-Turns Refining Dan Technique, which combines the most mysterious theory of the Taoist school with Wang Chan's Thirteen Tai Baos' horizontal refining technique, immediately triggering a violent reaction like a catalyst.

Gradually, the warm current inside the body flowed throughout the whole body and returned to the Dan Tian, as if it had condensed into a loose ball the size of a pigeon egg, with a fiery red color.

According to the key of the horizontal Dantian method, Wang Chan's body shook slightly, and the true Qi in his Dantian followed the Renmai meridian in front of his chest, passed through the front of his chest, and directly entered his arm. With a slight effort, the Qi flowed forward, gathering thousands of threads into his palm, hidden without leaking, contained without overflowing.

The next moment, he suddenly opened his eyes, jumped up, and pounced forward like a fierce tiger coming down the mountain. Wang Chan sprang out more than thirty feet away, with a momentum as swift as a raging wind, and gently pressed one palm on the farthest iron stake in the room.

Her ears moved slightly, as if she faintly heard a soft "plop" sound coming from the stake. In her small eyes, it seemed like she saw thousands of threads in her hand, flowing along the palm and the contact point with the iron stake, rushing in all at once.

He immediately turned his body around and jumped back, retreating ten steps away. After a while, all that could be heard was the sound of "Boom! Boom! Boom!" A series of four or five explosions, the iron nails as thick as a bowl mouth burst out from inside to outside, creating seven or eight fist-sized holes, and then came crashing down to the ground with a loud rumble.

Wang Chan hastily went forward to watch, and saw that the place where this steel stake was broken was full of small holes as thick as hair, densely packed like a honeycomb, with seven or eight large holes, iron filings flying everywhere, as if it had been ground by a sand wheel, extremely fine.

"It's really useful after all. This family's internal elixir method combined with my fist technique and martial arts skills, has suddenly allowed me to achieve the powerful force of 'Exploding Mountain Thunder'! How wonderful!"

With a swift and fierce movement, he struck out with his palm. Wang Chan only felt the true energy inside him surging outward, then the small red ball in his dantian began to rotate violently, pulling down large amounts of air from the ren and du meridians. In just three to five breaths, the consumed true energy was replenished.

The whole body's brute force and the circulation of Qi through the meridians are two completely different states. No matter how great the brute force is, even if one has read thousands of books, practiced qigong, or mastered internal energy, it can still be used up in an instant, leaving one exhausted. On the other hand, once the meridians are open and the true internal energy circulates throughout the body, it is endless and self-renewing, even if one suffers a great loss, they can recover with just a brief adjustment of their breath.

It's clear at a glance which is higher and which is lower.

It's just the Taoist method of refining elixirs, with 30% focusing on life work and 70% on cultivating one's nature. It emphasizes the importance of quieting the mind through intention and willpower. Even if one achieves the highest level of spiritual attainment, it is only to deepen their Taoist practice, not to acquire martial arts skills that can kill people or destroy things with a single punch.

Only by being like Wang Chan, cultivating both internally and externally, first practicing the fist method to near perfection, then turning to seek the Tao, using another mountain's stone to polish jade, can one combine the essence of both paths and elevate their fundamental nature. Others may practice, but if the fist method doesn't reach a certain realm, it won't work, and instead will waste time, causing unnecessary harm to one's own life.

It's as if a sharp divine sword was given to a three-year-old child to use, he can't even hold it steadily, and instead of killing others, he ends up hurting himself. They're just not compatible.

Wang Zhen's horizontal smelting kung fu has four realms: Changing Tendons, Tempering Marrow, Exchanging Blood, and Cultivating Marrow. Each time one realm is cultivated, there is a special kind of fist technique and power. For example, the first realm, Changing Tendons, involves practicing to open up the entire body's skin and muscles, stretching the large tendons to increase internal energy, and the emitted power is like a whip's penetrating bone force, belonging to purely external family kung fu, strong and fierce.

  Welcome to

And the second heavy tempering of bones is the internal explosive yin energy that he just used, which is silent when it comes out, and explodes upon contact, and it's an explosion from the inside out. The higher the skill level, the more one can control the force and time, and it's extremely poisonous. At this point, it's already the true internal energy of the inner family, from outside to inside.

When approaching the Tiger Head Ridge, Wang Chan had once tried it in the Guandi Temple. At that time, he couldn't control his inner energy, so his strength was uneven, and the stone blocks were shattered into different sizes, big and small. But this time, with one palm strike, his internal energy condensed without dispersing, even iron nails forged from fine iron could be blasted into iron dust. It can be seen that his bone-tempering skills have reached a high level of accomplishment. Next, he can start to change his blood.

According to the book, once I have achieved great success in practicing "易筋锻骨" (a kind of qigong exercise), and my whole body's meridians are unblocked, allowing my true energy to flow freely like a string of pearls, then I can use my own true energy to stimulate the potential of my five internal organs. This will enable my liver to regain its powerful function of producing blood, and unite with my heart, replacing all the blood in my body. As a result, my blood vessels will be able to better match my innate energy, and once this great achievement is accomplished, my inner and outer energies will become one, and my essence, energy, and flesh will intertwine, no longer distinguishing themselves from each other. Under the protection of my true energy, I will be like a dragon pillar, with two dragons coiling around me, achieving the "盘龙在身" (coiling dragon in the body) effect. With this kind of kung fu, even if I just raise my hand or move my feet, infinite and boundless power will emerge naturally, unstoppable by anyone. This kind of kung fu is like that of the ancient heroes Chu Bawang, Li Yuanba, and Li Cunxiao, who were all invincible warriors in their time.

His body rushed forward again, his two palms, one hard and one soft, pressed down on the other two iron pillars in sequence. In an instant, one of the iron pillars was pulled out, flying several meters away with a loud crash, leaving a handprint half an inch deep where he had slapped it.

Before long, when he turned back, the other small one burst like the first one, from inside to outside, and exploded at the waist where his palm touched.

Now his tempered bone kung fu has reached a high level, equivalent to that of a martial arts master who has practiced internal fist techniques for a lifetime. His strength is at will, hard or soft as he wishes.

Wang Chan smiled, looked at his own palms, and suddenly remembered that Zhang Daocheng had been carrying the three volumes of "Huang Ting Jing" with him for decades. No wonder he was approaching 70 years old and still hadn't achieved anything, only practicing the Xiantian Xuan Gong Fist to maintain his body, but instead practiced the "Palm Thunder" side branch thunder method, without even learning the basics. That old Daoist had average innate talent, and without practicing martial arts from a young age, he didn't have any accumulated skills, yet he thought he could rely on his own intentions, taking shortcuts, unaware that Xing Gong and Ming Gong are two sides of the same coin, complementing each other, with Yin not growing alone and Yang not born alone.

Abandoning either of them would be considered deviating from the right path.

It was an afternoon's work, and Wang Chan was in the practice room reading books and punching, pondering the meaning of scriptures, and guessing the method of punching. After several hours, he gradually became proficient in using his internal energy, like an arm commanding a finger.

The sky grew darker, and with another try, he pounced down, leaping over fifty feet away. His body landed on the ground, as if stuck in place. Regardless of distance, with just a flick of his body, one palm struck out, and people's shadows danced wildly, pulling out a fragmentary image.

With just one charge, the thirty or so steel pillars left in the room, scattered over several dozen square meters, were all blown to smithereens, and the huge room seemed to be shaken by a tremendous force, with the ground shaking violently.

Just as Lei Ting had just returned from outside, she passed by the door and felt that something was wrong, thinking that something had happened, she found someone to open the room door. After seeing the scene inside, her eyes suddenly lit up. Although her skills were far inferior to Wang Chan's, her vision was excellent. At a glance, she could see what the iron nails scattered all over the ground meant.

Lei Ting has been busy running around during this time and was hardly seen, but today she suddenly came back, seemingly having something to discuss with Wang Chan.
