Chapter Seventeen
The night sky is deep and profound, with war chariots crossing the sky. Nine bronze dragon heads are vividly depicted, and between movement and stillness, nine real dragons can be faintly seen roaring, howling, flying, and carrying the war chariot, tearing through the vast expanse of the sky in an instant, traversing a distance of ten thousand miles.
This is the famous Nine Dragons War Chariot of Zhongnan Daochang, which looks ancient and rotten but is actually more than one level higher than Dawei's infamous Erjing Shuang.
On the chariot, four people sat cross-legged. They were Bing Feng Jian Sheng, Hong Ying, and two Taishang elders from Zhongnan Daochang. The one with red hair and white eyebrows was Lie Huo, while the one with white hair and red eyebrows was Huo Lie. Both of them were figures who had been sealed as saints hundreds of years ago and were quite famous.
"Look, you're regretful now, aren't you? You're disappointed. You know you were wrong. I told you to listen to me, but you didn't believe me. Now you know. Hmph, it's too late, but since I'm a magnanimous person, if you sincerely apologize to me, I'll generously forgive you."
Hong Ying chattered incessantly, causing the eyebrows of Bing Feng Jian Sheng and others to twitch.
"Shut up!"
"What a racket!"
Lie Huo and Huo Lie scolded in unison, their palms moved, and they couldn't help but want to strangle Hong Ying to death.
"That's enough." Bing Feng Jian Sheng shouted, his eyes flashing as he looked at Hong Ying. "This time you were lucky. But we're two days late, do you think Lin Huang is still in Da Qian County?"
Hongying bit into her lollipop, "Don't worry, I just calculated the divination, tomorrow is a good day for getting married and seeking revenge. It's an auspicious day."
Bing Feng Jian Sheng was taken aback for a moment, then understood Hong Ying's words and nodded, "The easy way of the Hong family, that naturally won't be wrong."
"Hurry up, we must arrive at Daqian County by tomorrow noon."
The entire chariot fell silent, and it wasn't until a long time later that they heard Hongying say in a hushed tone: "But the Great Thousand County, that's not a good place."
"I know." Bing Feng Jian Sheng's tone was calm and flat, his killing intent suppressed, as he said lightly, "But if Lin Huang doesn't die, my heart will be uneasy."
"First of all, if you want to make a move in Daqian County, I won't be accompanying you." Hong Ying crunched on her candy bar, her tone firm.
"We don't need you to lift a finger, just a junior like him, we're enough."
"I can crush him with just one hand."
Huoliè and Liehuo let out a cold snort, disdainfully saying.
"Lin Huang must die." The Icebound Sword Saint's words were firm and left no room for doubt.
Dàqiān County, Nancheng
Lin Ao walked out of the cemetery, along the memories of his childhood, walking through the streets and alleys of Nancheng. Chunqiu Wang didn't dare to escape, following closely behind him, "You're not really planning on attending the wedding, are you?"
Chun Qiu Wang found a topic and asked a question. Seeing Lin Huang didn't respond, he let out a strange laugh and said, "Maybe you can still sit at the ex-boyfriend's table."
"Chen Ruo said, all those former classmates of mine will attend, if we are to break up, then let's break up cleanly."
Lin's words were spoken with great candor, and his current state of mind was becoming more and more detached from worldly concerns, vaguely grasping the key to overcoming the trials of life.
"The tribulation of human life is just the tribulation of worldly dust. If one can cut off all past affairs, then they will surely be able to overcome the tribulation of human life."
Lin Huang murmured to himself, thinking that the reason he hadn't been able to overcome his tribulations yet was because he still hadn't truly severed ties with the past. Apart from Chen Ruo and his parents, there were others who still existed in his memories, and those past experiences also needed to be cut off.
Once acquainted, it's fate; with fate comes parting, otherwise how can one cross the mortal realm and cut off worldly desires.
The king of the Spring and Autumn period was not clear, still wanting to insert a joke, when he saw Lin Huang's bright eyes, as if without a hint of human emotion, looking at him, "The answer I want, have you thought of it?"
The king's heart skipped a beat in the spring and autumn, and Lao Shi said, "I've told you everything I should say. I even told you about the time I lifted someone's skirt when I was young, I really don't know."
"If you can't kill me, then it's still my fault?"
"Big brother, you should talk reason."
Lin's eyes gleamed like lightning, as if they could see through people's hearts. After a moment of silence, he nodded, "You didn't lie."
"How could I possibly lie? Besides, with your intelligence, could I have fooled you?"
The king of Spring and Autumn was overjoyed, saying repeatedly.
"Since you don't know anything, never mind. You help me with one thing, and I'll spare your life."
Lin Huang didn't bother to entangle himself further, and there must be some hidden meaning behind Chun Qiu Wang's words. However, Lin Huang felt that he had already grasped the key to becoming a god, and he didn't have the mind to investigate further. He calmly opened his mouth and made arrangements for Chun Qiu Wang.
"What's going on?" Spring and Autumn King asked vigilantly.
"Tomorrow you'll know." Lin Huang waved his hand, his expression calm and his voice somewhat ethereal. "When did this long street suddenly have so many murals?"
"How was I supposed to know. You haven't even told me what you want me to do yet..." Chun Qiu Wang covered his mouth, only then realizing that Lin Huang wasn't talking to him.
As his gaze swept over the long street walls, he suddenly discovered that countless murals had mysteriously appeared on both sides of the walls at some unknown time. The painting style was dark and eerie, like a hundred ghosts marching in the night, depicting numerous twisted human shadows, pain, despair, and all kinds of evil emotions, as if forever trapped in the underworld. Spring Autumn Wang's scalp felt numb as he looked at it.
At the end of the long street, a hunched figure held a charcoal pen and moved slowly. With each step, a painful, distorted human shadow appeared in the mural.
"The mundane world may be bitter, but it's not as hopeless as this." Lin Huang said calmly, looking at that person.
He paused for a moment, then continued to paint. With a few strokes, the desperate, dark and painful silhouettes appeared on the wall. In a low, gloomy voice, "But there are 100,000 souls that keep telling me of despair and pain, what can I do? I just have to draw them out, let you see."
Lin Huang's expression was indifferent, and he carefully sized up the person with a glance. His face was expressionless. "It is fate, it is also karma. It is the sea of bitterness, it is also the paradise of ultimate bliss. They just lack a lamp."
As he spoke, Lin Huang snapped his fingers, and in an instant, on the long street, the figures in the murals each had an additional lantern.
"Holding a lamp in hand, illuminating the dark and obscure. It turns out that this suffering is also happiness, this calamity is also fate."
He stopped painting and looked up at Lin Huang for the first time.
Appearing hunchbacked and decrepit, yet a woman with a face like a painting nodded at Lin Huang, "You're not bad."
After she finished speaking, the woman's figure along with the murals on the long street disappeared like a bubble, and the sounds of prosperity and bustle outside the long street came again.
"Looks like you've met a superior." Spring Autumn Wang furrowed his brow and walked up to Lin Huang.
"How tall is she?" Lin Huang pondered the identity of this suddenly appearing woman in his heart, and casually asked.
"Very tall, at least taller than me, maybe even taller than you." Spring and Autumn Wang said with a serious expression.
Lin Huang nodded thoughtfully and had already figured out the identity of the person who came.
"Besides, you haven't hidden your tracks, I'm worried that those enemies of yours will find you soon. And with so many enemies, it's possible that the one just now was a scout, let's leave quickly, or else I'm afraid we won't be able to get away."
Suddenly encountering such a thing, King Chunqiu couldn't help but feel anxious and worried.
