Chapter 76: Opening Up a Pure Land

Chapter 76: Opening Up a Pure Land

After meeting the Mustard Seed Mountain, there was nothing major left, so I went to the Chaos to perfect the past and future Buddhas, further deducing the Great Way. With the help of the Chaos Sarira, every moment is swallowing and spitting out a vast amount of Chaos Yuan Qi. The three Sarira are gray and misty, like a small Chaos world, with a faint golden light shining through, a mysterious causal thread connecting the three Sarira.

Past, present and future, all sorts of scenes are flashing in it. All living beings are born to die, and then enter the cycle of rebirth, endless life, worldly affairs revolving between three sarira grains, the great way of cause and effect gradually forms a long river, countless lives' joys and sorrows turn into tiny water droplets, sometimes forming, sometimes dispersing.

It seems that with just one glance, you can see a person's past and future lives. Mysterious and magical, the Buddhas of the past and future sit at both ends, their hands constantly forming different hand seals, which they cast into the long river. In the midst of it all, a hint of divine presence is added, making the entire river even more mysterious and strange. It's as if an invisible giant hand is pushing the whole river flow, constantly expanding into the past and future, stretching for thousands of miles. Suddenly, the middle of the river breaks off, and all the mystical scenery disappears.

The art of divination is a method that uses the power of cause and effect to transform into the river of fate, evolving and nurturing all things. It draws from the mysterious depths a hint of the divine rhythm of the Tao, helping oneself to deduce, but if one forces the river of fate to be pushed to an extreme degree, it will fail.

The Three Lives True Buddha is like three key points, without the present Buddha it is ultimately difficult to deduce and attain the Great Way, not even a single thread can be done, the subtlety of the Great Way is far beyond imagination. When introducing and deducing, one can barely perceive a thread of the Great Way's divine rhythm, and in an instant, one can touch upon a point of the Great Way's trajectory.

The Great Way is formless, originally without a trace. But at that moment, I felt the operation of the Great Way, or rather, it was not operating at all. The Great Way is still there, neither static nor dynamic, neither existing nor disappearing. It's mysterious and profound, beyond description, yet it has been eternal and indestructible for ages.

The introduction is at this moment, and it feels as if there are countless Honghuang-like Heavenly Ways running under the Great Way, and even many world Heavenly Ways are even more mysterious than the Honghuang Heavenly Way.

The introduction is constantly evolving and enlightening, although it can't be as tangible as touching the threshold of the Great Way like before. However, the harvest from the introduction is also extremely huge. He has clearly realized that there are endless spaces outside the Hongyuan, and Pangu's opening of the Hongyuan seems to be just one in the vast world of Dacheng, with three thousand more worlds outside, and even broader ones beyond. The Great Way is mysterious and boundless, what else is he seeking for his cultivation so far?

The immortal saint has gone through countless calamities and remains undying, what else is there to seek? The guide's hand gently holds the key to the law, and the trajectory of each living being flashes before one's eyes. Birth, death, suffering, and joy, all are just a cycle of worldly affairs, what's the point of it all?

The sea of bitterness is endless, and all living beings are in it, struggling hard. Their greatest sorrow lies in the fact that they do not even realize the shackles that cover their bodies. Heaven and earth are unkind, and sages are also unkind. Yet there are the poor and the rich, the noble and the humble, the long-lived and the short-lived. Is it really unkind?

He mentally calculated the various sufferings of all living beings in this world, while urging his magical powers to move. Four lotus platforms flew out from around him, arranged in four directions, shocking the primordial chaos. With his feet stepping on a golden lotus and his hands manipulating the magic formula, a sword of cause and effect condensed into being. He lightly swung it, its trajectory mysterious and unfathomable. The chaotic air currents were dispersed, and a small world appeared before him, only about ten miles in circumference. To say nothing of comparing it to the boundless and endless Honghuang, even compared to the world opened up by the Three Pure Ones and Nüwa after they became saints, it was really too small, and simply didn't seem like the work of a saint. However, if one carefully examined it, they would discover the wondrous aspects of this small world.

The world seems desolate, but in the soil and water, even in the air, there is a hint of life's breath. Life is being nurtured, while other sacred worlds are actually just empty spaces, where they use the Great Law to isolate the chaotic airflow, with no life inside, not even a thread of existence. The thriving life of the heavens is only the result of transplantation from the Primordial Chaos, but the world that has been opened up by the guides has living life, although it is still very primitive.

And the most bizarre thing is that there is no existence of Tao in this world, which means that the living beings in this world can do whatever they want, and are not subject to the intervention of the mysterious rules of the Great Way.

Of course, this is just a prototype, a corner that the Great Way cannot reach, a dust in the world, but it's special enough to lead to this small world, solemnly leaving a stone tablet with two words "the other side".

This is the ultimate escape for all living beings from the infinite suffering of the kalpas, a pure land that has thoroughly broken free from the constraints of the Great Way. On its shores, all living beings are far removed from the sea of suffering, and can do as they please, enjoying all kinds of pleasures, without any suffering or pain, and nothing is impossible for them to achieve.

However, this pure land is too fragile, and the infinite power of the Great Dao seems to want to destroy this anomaly, not allowing any place that is not under the control of the Great Dao.

The Great Way seems to be constantly branching out into various Heavenly Ways, attempting to invade this world, taking control of everything, making rules for these humble lives, letting them follow the cycle of life and death, fully utilizing the law of cause and effect to protect it, isolating the Great Way's interference, sparing it from destruction.

The other shore of the Pure Land has been constantly tested by the Great Way, and the introduction has also communicated with the Great Way. When looking at the Honghuang Tian Dao again, the introduction feels extremely easy. The secrets of heaven and earth are increasingly presented in front of one's own eyes, and a thought can feel the changes of countless things.

The Buddha knows that for a very long time to come, he will have to nurture this Pure Land of the Western Shore, allowing it to truly grow into an existence that can eternally protect all living beings from calamities. This way, Buddhism can truly transform and save all sentient beings. The Western Shore is formed because of the absence of any path, yet it has become a realm with a path; it encompasses everything and includes everything.

The causal technique of the introduction has made great progress, and this Taoist technique seems to have no end. At first, using it to conclude the heavenly way of cause and effect was thought to be the completion of the technique. Later, condensing the three bodies of the Buddha, cutting off past and future, the secret technique of cause and effect advanced again. Now, the introduction seems to have touched the threshold of the causal technique of all heavens, and this Taoist technique has once again made new progress.

Sainthood is not the end, but rather a starting point. Attaining sainthood helps cultivators better glimpse the Great Way, but for some people, it can also be a limitation that causes them to become forever mired in it and cease pursuing even higher levels of enlightenment.

This time, the progress is huge, and the improvement in combat power is not much. He has successfully verified all that he has learned since becoming a saint, and found the direction for future development. As long as he finds the right direction, he can continue to move forward.

During the period of gestation in the primordial chaos, the overall situation in the vast expanse was still extremely calm. Of course, there were also some major events, such as Xuanyuan Huangdi finally completing his merits and becoming the Human Emperor, going to Huoyun Cave to suppress the human tribe's aura.

What shocked the Honghuang the most was that Da Wu Xing Tian challenged Tian Di Huang Tian. Xing Tian had been in seclusion, cultivating in secret. When Chi You obtained the refined blood from Hou Yi, he gave some to Xing Tian. Xing Tian was originally a peak Great Witch, and with this opportunity for a breakthrough, he touched the edge of the Ancestral Witch. His physical body and divine powers continued to advance.

Xing Tian, after a hundred years of closed cultivation, reached the level of half-step Zu Wu. The Pangu blood in his veins was still too little, but with more time, Xing Tian had hope to reach the realm of Zu Wu.

But as soon as he came out of his seclusion, he received news about Chi You's defeat in battle and the slaughter of countless witch tribes in the north of Honghuang. Chi You's death was expected by Xiang Tian, who had already sensed something amiss from Hou Yi's words. However, the massacre of the witch tribes by Huang Tian was unacceptable to Xiang Tian, who considered himself their protector. He had been so focused on his seclusion that he hadn't been able to take care of them in time, and now they had been killed by some dogshit emperor. What emperor? I only know of Di Jun, what's this Huang Tian?

Even if the Wu tribe were to die out, they couldn't let the clown bully them. Xing Tian's cultivation had given him boundless confidence, and he found his own divine weapon, Gan Jiang. Alone, he charged towards the Heavenly Court, entering through the South Heaven Gate. With a swing of his great axe, he killed anyone in his path, chopping down heaven's soldiers and generals like cutting vegetables, slaughtering countless numbers along the way.

Haotian has been doing well since he went to war with the Wu tribe, and some scattered cultivators have taken the initiative to surrender. The Heavenly Court is gradually having a prosperous atmosphere, Haotian is ambitious, wanting to expand his power, commanding all the heavens.

Suddenly someone reported to him that a great Han had killed his way into the heavenly court and many heavenly soldiers had already fallen.

Haotian was extremely enraged upon hearing this news, and someone dared to be so presumptuous as to directly offend him. He took out the Haotian Sword and the Kunlun Mirror, two precious treasures, and charged out to meet Xingtian.

As soon as Xing Tian saw Huang Tian, he understood that the remnants of the Wu tribe had come to make trouble for him. With a swing of his sword, Huang Tian stood alongside Xing Tian. Huang Tian's body possessed two pre-heavenly spiritual treasures, and with the power of the Heavenly Emperor's aura, he could behead an enemy with a single strike, truly a saintly cultivator. Xing Tian was only half a step away from becoming an ancestor of the Wu tribe, but his rich experience allowed him to force Huang Tian into a stalemate.

Moreover, Xing Tian felt his blood boiling in the heat of battle, and it seemed that his physical realm had made some progress, almost becoming a Zu Wu. Huang Tian, who had been fighting for a long time without falling, was also getting anxious, and his moves were somewhat disorganized.

Yaochi also received the news, brought his subordinates to come, saw Haotian and a great witch doctor together, and was barely defeated. Yaochi was somewhat anxious, took out the golden hairpin given by the Taoist ancestor, found an opportunity, and sacrificed it, rushing straight to Xingtian's eyes.

Xing Tian was focused on the battle and didn't notice someone sneaking up behind him. When he saw the golden hairpin coming at him, he barely dodged it with his eyes, but a piece of flesh was cut off from his face. Xing Tian's concentration wavered for a moment due to the intense pain, and Huang Tian seized this opportunity, striking Xing Tian's head with his sword.

The huge skull fell to the ground, and strangely, not a single drop of blood flowed out. The headless body did not fall down either, as if it was looking for something. Suddenly, Haotian aimed the Kunlun Mirror at Xingtian's skull, and a strong light shot out. With the help of the Kunlun Mirror, Haotian threw Xingtian's skull into the chaotic flow of time and space.

The corpse of Xingtian, who had lost his head, twitched eerily
