The 34th Little Girl

  Chapter 34 Little Girl

Looking at the Moon Spirit flying towards him, Shi Sheng sighed and stretched out his hand, somewhat reluctant. He then shifted his body to one side and slapped the back of Moon Spirit's head with a loud smack.

"Hmm!" A low hum, Yu Ling's body went limp and she fainted, lying softly on the ground.

Shi Sheng had already woken up from his confused and bewildered state, but he really couldn't bring himself to take advantage of the situation. Moreover, Lin Wan'er's image kept flashing in his mind, so Shi Sheng dispelled this despicable thought even more.

"Consider yourself lucky, if you hadn't met me and changed into someone else, you wouldn't have been so lucky!" Shi Sheng looked at Yue Ling's dress that barely covered her slender body, then immediately opened his bundle and put his old clothes on Yue Ling.

After looking around for a moment, Shi Sheng dragged his tired body and carried Yue Ling to a cave, slowly putting her down.

Shi Sheng slowly stretched out his palm and stuck it to Yueling's forehead, but didn't make any other moves. It wasn't until half a stick of incense had burned that Shi Sheng finally withdrew his hand.

"It should be safe here, the poison has been dispelled by more than half and is almost harmless. I think it won't take long to wake up!" Shi Sheng said with a serious expression.

He glanced at that enchanting beauty, still with the flush of medicine on her face, and Shi Sheng couldn't help but recall the previous soul-stirring scene. Although nothing had really happened, thinking about it now also made his heart flutter.

"Good luck to you, farewell!" Shi Sheng said, and swiftly turned away. He didn't want to wait for Yuè Líng to wake up and mistake him for a silver thief (silver, you understand, harmonious)!

After leaving the cave, they walked for half a day. As the sky gradually darkened, Shi and his companions passed by a small village but didn't disturb the residents. Leaning against a large tree at the entrance of the village, they fell asleep with their eyes closed.

He didn't know how long he had slept, but in his daze, Sheng heard some disordered footsteps and whispers. He opened his eyes to find that it was still dark outside. In the distance, he vaguely saw two blurry figures sneaking towards the village head, one of whom was carrying a large sack on his back.

"Old Zhang, is it okay to do it this way? What if someone finds out, we'll be caught and put in jail. After all, it's a living girl being buried!" one of the thin figures said worriedly.

"What's there to be afraid of? Since you've found me, Zhang, just have faith in me!" Another tall and sturdy figure said nonchalantly.

The two of them arrived at a desolate mountain outside the village, Zhang threw down the bag he was carrying, and they approached a grove to start digging. Before long, they were about to throw the bag into the hole and prepare to fill it with soil.

"It's safest to be buried in this grave, no one will know whose new grave it is, hehe!" Zhang Dabian said as he filled the soil, while the thin figure was somewhat timid, especially when seeing the surrounding mounds of earth, and felt a chill run down his spine.

The moonlight is hazy and indistinct, the place has unknowingly risen with a gray mist, accompanied by the howling wind, the rustling of branches rubbing against each other, and the atmosphere seems to be somewhat eerie.

The shadows of the two were stretched out by the moonlight, and as they moved, their figures twisted and writhed on the ground. Besides the sound of panting, there was also the sound of heavy breathing.

"Ah!" A frail figure let out a shrill cry, suddenly discovering that the new soil they had just filled in had somehow floated back out of the pit on its own and scattered around the edge of the hole.

Zhang Dabian seemed to still have some doubts, preparing to fill the pit again. But at this moment, a blue flame slowly floated over from afar and hovered near the pit. In the dark night, it was so dazzling and eerie.

  "There...there's a ghost!"

  "Oni... Onibi!"

The frail figure of his mother shouted "Ma" and took off running, Zhang's courage was great but at this moment he couldn't help but break a sweat, without thinking he turned around and ran.

Before long, the two of them ran out of sight. Another figure emerged from a nearby dark place, looked at where they had disappeared, and revealed a faint smile.

"Hmph, can't handle the cultivators, but it's still easy to deal with you two ordinary people. To actually bury a little girl alive, how despicable! Shi Sheng didn't know what being buried alive meant for a little girl in this world, but on Earth, it was extremely heinous, even more detestable than the Silver Thieves they had encountered before."

However, Shi Sheng didn't dare to act rashly this time. Instead, he secretly followed and observed them for half a day, confirming that neither of them was a cultivator before scaring them away. It's indeed true that once bitten by a snake, one will fear even the rope used to draw water from a well for ten years!

After a night's rest, Shi Sheng's mind had also recovered to about 70-80%. With a stir in his heart, the floating soil inside the pit automatically flew out. When Shi Sheng tried to bring out the pouches inside, he found that his mental strength was insufficient, apparently because the weight was too heavy.

He came to the edge of the pit and pulled out the bag with one hand, and in a few quick movements, he opened the mouth of the bag. Sure enough, inside was a dirty little girl, with a white cloth stuffed into her mouth. Shi Sheng quickly took her out of the bag.

The little girl is not very old, about five or six years old, wearing a big adult's clothes, although her face is dirty, but it can still be seen that she has a pretty and lovely appearance, when she grows up, she will definitely be a beautiful woman.

However, the little girl's brain seemed to have some problems, at least her reaction was slower. Seeing that he had saved her, she didn't even say thank you, but Shi Sheng didn't mind these things.

Moreover, having been buried alive previously, there is not even a hint of fear in her eyes now, nor are there any signs of crying. Shi Sheng felt that the little girl probably had mental problems and was therefore abandoned and buried alive.

"Alas, what a pity!" Shi Sheng wasn't saying thank you, but rather lamenting the poor girl's miserable fate and feeling sorry for her situation.

"How old are you? Do you know where your home is? Big brother will take you back, don't be afraid, I'm not a bad person!" Shi Sheng tried to reveal a smile that he thought was full of sunshine, but didn't know what it looked like in other people's eyes.

"Are you scared silly? Can't even say a word?" Shi Sheng was somewhat perplexed: "Can you hear me speaking or not?"

The little girl looked at the small fireball that was bursting with blue light in the distance, then glanced at Shi Sheng and calmly asked: "Are you a cultivator?"

"What?" Shi Sheng's eyes narrowed immediately, waiting for the little girl to speak up, but the first sentence asking this question really made Shi Sheng somewhat unresponsive. Could it be that this little girl was a child of some cultivation family? Had she seen cultivators since childhood?

Shi's mind stirred, and a distant fireball suddenly burst open with a loud bang. He nodded slightly: "Are you the child of a high-ranking sect or the descendant of a large family? Have I seen a cultivator like you before?"

Shi Sheng suddenly discovered that this little girl's brain seemed to be fine, if she really had a problem it was probably just being too naive.

But this can't be blamed on oneself, who would have thought that the world is so complicated, even a little girl is so calm and collected, it seems that in the future one must add more caution, otherwise it will be difficult to survive in this world.

"Ah……” Just as Shí Shēng was deep in thought, the little girl's hand landed on his palm. At first, Shí Shēng didn't resist, but as soon as their hands touched, a loud rumbling sound echoed through his mind, causing his entire spiritual realm to tremble slightly. The misty sea of his spiritual energy churned and bubbled, and was absorbed into the little girl's arm. (End of this chapter, next one will be even more exciting!)
