One hundred mu of land in the capital city

  One hundred, calculated land tax

Xun Daozi listened to Ping Xin ( Hou Tu )'s words, although on the surface he was calm, in his heart he was thinking extremely quickly, calculating.

This wheel of reincarnation will be an important one in the three realms, and according to Buddhist legend, Buddhism has sent Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, one of the Four Great Bodhisattvas, to preside over the underworld to protect the law of reincarnation for Buddhists. This allows Buddhists to carry the mark of Buddhism with them through each cycle of reincarnation, and after reincarnating again, they will once more become Buddhists, ensuring that Buddhism will continue to flourish without decline. Furthermore, in the underworld, some ghosts with great heavenly talents are forcibly converted and brought back to reincarnation with the mark of Buddhism, allowing Buddhism to constantly grow stronger. He also made a grand vow: "I will not attain enlightenment until all hells are empty." This is clearly an excuse to stay in the underworld permanently. Can hell be emptied? If hell is empty, is it still the underworld? And what about this one realm of the underworld in the three realms?

At this moment, Xun Daozi entered the underworld with Ping Xin when it first opened. Can't he leave a chance for the future Taoist school to enter the underworld and let the Taoist school develop and grow with the power of the underworld? At this moment, Ping Xin has something to ask for, why not take this opportunity to leave a chance? Anyway, Xun Daozi's partial witch tribe is extremely fond of him, and Ping Xin only asks to leave some bloodline for the witch tribe, as long as the bloodline doesn't break off. Go back and discuss with Master, Shibo, and Shishu, make some plans, it should be possible to achieve.

At this thought, Xun Daozi raised his head and saw the expectant color in Ping Xin's sorrowful eyes. He also felt some sympathy in his heart, and immediately opened his mouth to say: "Your Majesty, I can only promise that if a great disaster occurs in the Wu clan, I will do my best to preserve some of the Wu clan's bloodline and prevent the Wu clan's bloodline from being cut off. If it is anything else, my Taoist practice is lowly, my magical powers are weak, and it is really difficult to achieve. I hope Your Majesty will forgive me!"

Ping Xin listened to Xun Daozi's response, and a hint of joy flashed in her eyes. She immediately wanted to bow again to thank him, but Xun Daozi hastily stopped her, saying: "Xun Daozi really doesn't dare accept your thanks, Your Highness. Just give the order, and Xun Daozi will do his best to carry it out."

Ping Xin nodded and said no more thanks, only saying: "The friendship between us Taoists, Ping Xin remembers!" From then on, the two of them did not mention this topic again.

After a while, Xun Daozi asked Ping Xin: "Earlier, I heard the princess mention the six paths of reincarnation. What is it? Can you tell me about it?"

The heart is calm because Xun Daozi promised to take action in the great calamity to preserve some blood for the Wu tribe, and he has a grateful heart. When Xun Daozi asked, he carefully explained: "This underworld will become the place where the souls of the living rely on after death, and the six paths of reincarnation will be the channel for the souls of all beings to reincarnate again in the world. There are three good paths and three evil paths. The three good paths are the Heavenly Path, the Human Path, and the Asura Path; these three good paths now only have the Asura Path opened by the old ancestor of the Underworld River, and the gates of reincarnation for the Heavenly Path and the Human Path have not been opened yet. The souls that reincarnate in the Asura Path will be born into the Asura tribe created by the old ancestor of the Underworld River in the world. The gates of reincarnation for the Heavenly Path and the Human Path are not open, and I don't know what they are like, but since they are good paths, they should not bring harm."

There are three evil paths, namely the hell path, the hungry ghost path, and the animal path. Although the gates of these three paths have not been opened, I know a thing or two about them, so let me tell you. The hell path can be called the Avici Hell, where ghosts suffer, and the various hardships are difficult to describe. Only when the gate of hell is opened can it be understood in detail. The hungry ghost path is also a path of suffering, where ghosts are born and suffer from hunger. The details also need to wait for the opening of the wheel of rebirth to understand. As for the animal path, I currently only know that those who are born into it will appear as beasts, fish, insects, and birds in the world. The details also require the opening of the gate of rebirth to be understood.

Xun Daozi listened to Ping Xin's words and thought to himself: This is similar to the Buddhist teachings of reincarnation and hell that were preached in my past life!

However, Xun Daozi didn't think much about it and asked again: "Your Majesty, now that only one of the six reincarnations has been opened, how will the gates of the other reincarnations be opened?"

"This reincarnation gate, I don't know how to open it specifically. I only feel that there must be people in the underworld who are responsible for their duties, and this underworld can truly function completely. However, now except for me, there is no one else in this underworld, and it cannot operate at all. The large empty city in front also has various positions that require people to take charge, but where can I find so many people to come and take on these responsibilities? I'm afraid no one will be willing to come to this desolate hell to do such a difficult thing!" After Ping Xin finished speaking, his face showed a hint of melancholy.

Xun Daozi knew that this underworld was important. At this time, although it is not obvious, once the witch calamity is over, the human race becomes the protagonist of heaven and earth. Among the three good ways, the way of humanity should actually be the way of the world, but it has become the foundation of the three realms. For the masters of the major sects who dominate the Dadao and transmit the orthodox teachings, this is a place that must be contested. If you can occupy a favorable position in the underworld and influence the ghosts of the mortal world, then the impact on the sect will be great.

At this moment, Xun Daozi saw Ping Xin worrying that the underworld was unmanned and performing its duties. He moved his heart and immediately spoke out: "Your Majesty doesn't need to worry, since this underworld has come out in response, it will definitely be able to perfect itself, so that Your Majesty's sorrowful heart can fulfill its function completely. Although the underworld is desolate at this moment, there is no need to rush, wait for me to go to the vast wilderness and find some manpower for Your Majesty's underworld, slowly start up this underworld. So that the souls of all living beings truly have something to rely on, and will not disappear without being eroded.

With a calm heart and a joyful expression, he immediately spoke up: "Thank you so much, fellow Taoist! I just don't know when you'll be able to find someone to come to this place."

Xun Daozi's face showed a difficult expression.

He hastily apologized, "It was I who was rash, please don't blame me, fellow Taoist!"

The Taoist child spoke up, "Your Ladyship doesn't need to be like this. The operation of the underworld requires a lot of manpower, and it's not easy to gather so many people at once. It needs to be done slowly, step by step, to assemble the personnel of the underworld. I estimate that in order to assemble all the personnel of the underworld, we must find willing individuals, and it will take at least ten thousand years or more to barely make it happen."

This is actually another calculation in Xun Daozi's heart: the operation of the underworld requires a large number of people, and even if it is necessary to occupy the underworld to gain an advantage for the future propagation of Taoism, it is not necessary to occupy every position in the underworld. It would be enough to occupy several key positions. Moreover, he couldn't find that many people to work in the underworld, even if all the disciples of the Three Pure Ones were sent to work there, they wouldn't make up one percent of the total number needed. Besides, it's impossible for so many disciples to enter the underworld, and among the many fellow apprentices, only a few would be arranged to preside over the underworld, at most one or two.

Xun Daozi had promised to preserve some of the witch tribe's bloodline, so he had to find a place for the remaining witches. Given the witches' nature, staying in the vast wilderness would only lead to their eventual demise, even with the protection of Hou Tu's sacrifice and the residual blessings of the underworld. This underworld was opened by Hou Tu and required many people to operate it, so why not send the preserved witches there to serve as its operators? With Hou Tu presiding over it, these witches should no longer cause any trouble. Moreover, if they could diligently fulfill their duties in the underworld, they would surely gain heavenly merit. With this merit protecting them, the witch tribe's lineage would be secure and worry-free. By doing so, Xun Daozi would also have fulfilled his promise to Ping Xin (Hou Tu), and it might even bring him another favor.

It takes more than 10,000 years for Xun Daozi to find enough volunteers to work in the underworld. Although he is a bit disappointed, he thinks that it's extremely difficult to get so many people to volunteer under their own free will. How many cultivators are willing to come and accept this constraint and perform the duties of the underworld? It's already not easy for Xun Daozi to find enough volunteers in 10,000 years.

Thinking of this, Ping Xin sincerely thanked Xun Daozi. However, he didn't expect the calculations in Xun Daozi's heart.

After that, the two of them chatted idly and discussed the Tao. Xun Daozi stood up to bid farewell. Ping Xin transmitted the secret method for freely entering and exiting the land of the immortals to Xun Daozi.

Xun Daozi left the Ping Xin Palace, summoned the three-eyed snow lion beast, the jade qilin, and Liu Ling. They walked back and forth along the road, passing through the city, crossing the Naihe Bridge, and looked around at this gloomy and desolate underworld. He then cast a spell, and in front of him appeared a misty passageway.

Xun Daozi took the lead and stepped into the passage. Behind him were three Snow Lion Beasts, a Jade Qilin, and Liu Ling also followed closely.

Not far into the passage, a bright light appeared in front of him. Xun Daozi and his party had already stepped out of the passage. Turning back to look, behind him was a misty big gate, and behind the gate was a grayish mist, unknown what was inside.

The Xun Dao Zi Fa Jue was withdrawn, and the great gate dispersed like smoke, leaving no trace. Looking around, it was already not in the original Blood Sea, and unexpectedly, it was not far from the Xun Dao Mountain.

Having arrived at the gate of his home, how could he not go back and take a look, so he immediately headed towards Xun Dao Mountain.

Back in his own cave, Xuan Yi lay comfortably on the bamboo pavilion, drinking tea and tasting fruit. The three-eyed snow lion led the jade qilin, while Liu Ling was free to roam in the valley.

Liu Liu obtained the permission of Xun Daozi to freely roam in the valley, and was overjoyed. This Xun Dao mountain could be called the garden of Hong Huang's spiritual fruit. Xun Daozi had spent countless years collecting and carefully cultivating the spiritual fruits with a pure heart. The variety of spiritual fruits was unmatched even in the vast expanse of Hong Huang. For Liu Liu, this was an irresistible temptation.

As they entered the valley, Liu Ling couldn't help but grab his ears and scratch his cheeks as he gazed at the spiritual fruits that appeared along the way. Xun Daozi had seen this expression before, but didn't know what was going through his mind. So when they sat down in the bamboo pavilion, Xun Daozi simply instructed them not to waste anything and let the three-eyed snow lion lead Yu Qilin and Liu Ling to go and play on their own, while he himself took some tea and lay down comfortably on a reclining chair to ponder matters of the divine realm. However, it wasn't long before the six-eared macaque Liu Ling carefully carried a pile of spiritual fruits over to Xun Daozi's side, gently placing them on the old tree stump tea table beside him, bowed his head in respect, and then exited the pavilion, rushing off towards the valley with an anxious expression. This left Xun Daozi, who was lying on the reclining chair with his eyes closed, secretly amused.

Xun Daozi lay on the chaise longue, holding a teapot in his hands, lost in thought. In his mind, he was thinking about how to leave behind a legacy for the Wu tribe.

Although it's still several thousand years before the 100,000-year period set by Hongjun Daozu, small skirmishes between witches and demons can be seen from time to time. It's unknown when they will escalate into large-scale conflicts. In order to leave behind a legacy for the witch tribe, how many should be left, which clans should be preserved, and how to preserve them? Should they be relocated before the great calamity or rescued during it? All of these need to be carefully considered.

After the most careful consideration, Xun Daozi was still unable to come up with a specific plan of action. In his heart, he also had an idea - to discuss the matter of the underworld with his master Yuan Shi, Master Lao Zi and Master Tong Tian, perhaps there would be a better arrangement, much better than his own blind thinking. Moreover, Xun Daozi always thought that this kind of planning was not his strong suit, it would be better to leave it to his masters. The matter of leaving a legacy for the Wu tribe could also be left to his masters to plan.

The seeker of the way, who had finally found peace, was drinking tea and enjoying the fruit, admiring the scenery, but didn't notice that the golden lotus in the pond in front of the bamboo pavilion seemed different from before, and even the water in the pond seemed to have undergone some subtle change.

PS: Thanks to Xiaogai Mountain, Xuantiian Xiaoyao, Leader Lai Kan, Xianxian Xian and several friends for their rewards! Thank you!
