Sixteen, Transmission of Dharma
Yuanshi and the three people were searching for Daozi in the valley, when they inadvertently turned to an old tree stump. On this old tree stump grew several lingzhi mushrooms as big as millstones, with flowing iridescence, shining treasures, among which one was entirely milky white, crystal clear, radiant, clearly absorbing and expelling the spiritual energy of heaven and earth.
The three of them stood with their feet together, smiling and looking on. The Heavenly Way said, "I didn't think this spiritual mushroom was still spiritual, it has already opened its spiritual wisdom, looking at its situation, in another hundred years it should be able to take shape." It's also not easy, I'll help it a bit. After finishing speaking, he casually threw out a green light that entered the milky white spiritual mushroom.
Then, the lingzhi mushroom suddenly moved, as if it was grateful for Tongtian's help.
Everyone was also happy, and Xunzi waved goodbye.
Everyone bid farewell to Rou Zhi after dinner and walked back to the bamboo pavilion, sitting down separately.
Laozi laughed and said, "This mountain valley is indeed a treasure land, with many treasures. If I were to set up my furnace to refine elixirs, most of the materials could be found here." He paused for a moment, "Xun Daozi, in the future when Shifu refines elixirs, he will have to ask you for herbs, don't refuse him!" After finishing speaking, he smiled at Xun Daozi.
"Whatever Master needs, I will definitely deliver it."
Tongtian said, "Exactly, this kid is just a big rich man. Look at the green bamboo by the pond and the white lotus in it, elsewhere they would be priceless treasures, but look at him, he uses the bamboo to build a pavilion, and the lotus flowers are just scenery. Alas! He's really just a nouveau riche. A guy who only knows how to waste heaven's gifts." After finishing speaking, he let out a strange laugh.
Xun Daozi just shrunk his head and didn't speak.
At this time, Yuan Shi opened his mouth and said: "Disciple, I told you earlier that after your recovery, I would teach you the method of nourishing the two treasures with the heart of Tao. Today, you have fully recovered, so I will teach you the nourishing method. Before teaching you the great law, I first ask you, do you know what 'heart of Tao' is?"
Xun Daozi heard that his master wanted to impart the great Dharma to him, so he hastily got up and bowed in front of Yuanshi. When Yuanshi asked him a question, he thought for a moment before answering: "Master, I think that 'Dao Xin' should be the heart that seeks the Dao, the intention to follow the Dao. I don't know if what I said is correct?"
Yuanshi Dao said: "You may rise and sit down, there is no need to kneel or bow."
Xun Daozi thanked his master and sat down.
"The words you spoke are not wrong, 'Dao Xin' is indeed the heart of seeking the Dao, the thought of turning towards the Dao. However, it should be added with the word 'firm'. The complete saying is: Firmly seeking the heart of the Dao, the thought of turning towards the Dao. It is the persistent faith of practitioners pursuing the Great Dao. When I told you to nourish the two treasures with Dao Xin, I meant for you to firmly establish your Dao Xin at all times, and constantly remind yourself in your heart not to slacken. The path of the Dao is difficult, with countless obstacles. If one's Dao Xin is not firm, it is truly difficult to attain the Great Dao. Without a firm Dao Xin, it is also hard to gain recognition from the two treasures. Therefore, you must constantly remind yourself in your heart to sincerely turn towards the Dao, and not slacken, striving to obtain recognition from the two treasures as soon as possible, to assist you in attaining the Great Dao."
The disciple stood up and saluted Yuan Shi, saying: "Disciple will follow the teachings of Master, definitely cultivate diligently, strive to obtain the recognition of the two treasures as soon as possible, and not disappoint Master's teachings."
"You know is good. This method is easy to say, but difficult to do. It's not something that can be accomplished in a day, it requires long-term persistence. You must remember carefully."
"The disciple nodded and replied: 'I have taken note of it.'"
Yuanshi Dao said: "If so, I will teach you again the way of your daily cultivation. You can carefully cultivate it."
As soon as he finished speaking, he raised his hand and pointed, a green light shot towards Xun Daozi's brow, entering it before Xun Daozi could react.
Xun Daozi suddenly felt that there were many more things in his mind. Before he could speak, he heard Tong Tian Dao say: "I will also pass on the Suo Xian Sword Technique to you."
Xun Daozi felt that his brain had been stuffed with even more things. In a daze, he heard Laozi say: "This set of Qing Lei Fa is also passed on to you." Xun Daozi suddenly felt that his brain was squeezed in with some more things.
It was not easy to clear up, and he strongly endured the feeling of swelling pain. Xun Daozi raised his head and looked at Yuan Shi and the others, opening his mouth: "Thank you, Master, Master's wife, and Master's brother for passing on the law. I will definitely cultivate it with a humble heart and not disappoint Master, Master's wife, and Master's brother."
Yuanshi Dao said: "You can practice on your own, and I will be your teacher along with your Shifu and Shishu. They have just made some breakthroughs and need to close their doors for contemplation. Wait until we come out of our retreat and I will enlighten you."
Xun Daozi hastily said: "I will obey the master's orders, and I will definitely cultivate diligently. There are several quiet rooms in my Dongfu that can be used for Master, Shibo, and Shishu to close their doors."
Yuanshi Dao said: "Very well, you lead the way with your master and his brother, and go before them."
Then, Xun Daozi led Yuanshi and the other two forward to a quiet room for closed-door meditation.
After Laozi and the three of them closed their doors, Xun Daozi also ran to the cave mansion's cloud bed to meditate and sort out the information in his mind. The feeling of having a headache was indeed unbearable.
Xun Daozi sat on the cloud bed, suddenly feeling his whole body full of vitality, Zhou Tian's work was self-sufficient and dynamic, even his head felt clear.
Xun Daozi didn't meditate or practice internal energy, he just wanted to tidy up his chaotic and aching head, and sort out the information that Yuanshu Sanren had stuffed into his brain.
Xun Daozi immersed himself, using the Cloud Bed's power to carefully sort out the chaotic information. He first separated the information that Yuanshi, Tongtian and Laozi had forced into his mind. The largest lump of information was from Yuanshi, while the two smaller lumps were from Tongtian and Laozi respectively.
Xun Daozi was organizing the information while mentally multitasking, thinking to himself: "Master, Master's wife, and Master's brother are all like this. They just pass on the skills without explaining properly, shoving everything into my brain like a trash can. This is too irresponsible. However, it will be easy to teach disciples in the future, and it will be very relaxing, but I don't know if they'll learn well or not."
If Yuan Shi San knew about his procrastination, I don't know if they would beat him half to death and sweep him out the door.
Time slipped away unnoticed, and Xun Daozi had been sitting on the cloud bed for seven days. In these seven days, Xun Daozi finally sorted out the information that Yuanshi Sanren had passed on to him: Tongtian taught a set of "Shangqing Sword Jue"; Laozi taught a set of "Taicheng Lei Fa"; and Yuanshi taught many more, including "Yuqing Wu Dao Jue", "Yuqing Lei Fa", "Yuqing Dun Fa", "Yuqing Tengyun Jue", "Yuqing Lianqi Jue" and "Yuqing Lianshen Jue".
Xun Daozi sorted out the techniques taught by Yuan Shi and the other two, and began to think about where to start learning. He also felt a bit resentful that his masters didn't give him any hints, leaving him unsure of what to do next. But now his three masters had all gone into seclusion, so he couldn't ask them anything. And he couldn't wait for his masters to come out of seclusion before starting his practice, could he?
Xun Daozi had no choice but to roughly understand all the techniques and then decide where to start his practice.
Xun Daozi tried to open a manual, but unexpectedly, as soon as the manual was opened, not only did text appear in his mind (although he had never seen these texts before, just like the texts on the stone tablets in front of the Dongfu Gate, they could all be understood), but also images and sounds. Xun Daozi felt that it was much stronger than the multimedia teaching of his previous life. Not only were there explanations, but also demonstrations.
Xun Daozi spent nine days roughly understanding these formulas. He then spent a whole day deciding to start practicing from the "Yu Qing Wu Dao Jue".
The reason why Xun Daozi chose to practice 'Yu Qing Wu Dao Jue' first is that this is the most fundamental understanding and recognition of 'Dao' by Yuan Shi. It is the process from Yuan Shi's initial understanding of 'Dao' to his current understanding, and it is the summary of Yuan Shi's experience in Ti Dao, Wu Dao, and Zheng Dao. This is crucial for Xun Daozi to understand the practice knowledge and start practicing, which can help him avoid many detours. Yuan Shi's practice experience is a treasure that most practitioners in Hong Huang dream of.
Xun Daozi chose to practice 'Yu Qing Wu Dao Jue' first, and put the other methods aside for the time being. He planned to wait until he had achieved some results with 'Yu Qing Wu Dao Jue' before practicing the other methods concurrently.
Xun Daozi opened the "Yu Qing Wu Dao Jue" in his mind, and the words flashing with light flew into his soul. The voice of Yuan Shi rose in time to explain some key points, and there were occasional demonstrations.
It took forty-nine days for the Dharma to be fully imparted. At the end of the Dharma, Yuanshi reminded Xun Daozi that after entering the 'Yuqing Wudao Jue', he could assist in cultivating the 'Yuqing Lian Shen Jue'. The 'Yuqing Lian Shen Jue' is a cultivation method aimed at strengthening one's divine soul. A strong divine soul has a great impact on cultivators, whether it be for cultivation or combat. Yuanshi had Xun Daozi cultivate the 'Yuqing Lian Shen Jue' after entering the 'Yuqing Wudao Jue' in order to strengthen his divine soul and promote his cultivation of the 'Yuqing Wudao Jue'.
After starting to practice the 'Yu Qing Wu Dao Jue', Xun Dao Zi indeed had a more systematic understanding of cultivation. Yuan Shi summarized the cultivation into three steps: Ti Dao, Wu Dao and Zheng Dao. Ti Dao refers to experiencing and investigating the operation of the Tao, the trajectory of the Tao; Wu Dao refers to clearly understanding the rules and principles of the operation of the Tao; Zheng Dao refers to obtaining recognition of the Tao, being able to apply the rules and principles of the operation of the Tao.
In the "Yu Qing Wu Dao Jue", it is said that cultivators cultivate to seek the Great Way, so they can also be called Way-cultivators. To a certain extent, Way-cultivators' cultivation is about returning to the origin and seeking the source. Every time they gain insight into a section of the Way's track or understand a section of the Way's trajectory, they must search up and down, hoping to find the source of its origin and destination.
The most important task for Way-cultivators every day is to embody the Way, to investigate the tracks and traces of the Way, and hope to obtain complete tracks and understand the complete trajectory of the Way. The circumstances are different, and each cultivator's investigation of the tracks and traces of the Way is also different, so the direction of cultivation is not the same.
However, the principle is the same: through various methods, seek the tracks and traces of the Way, extend the found tracks and traces to the limit, make them as complete as possible, and understand the operating rules and principles. Recognize and master these rules and principles.
Because it can't be achieved in one go, suddenly grasping the operation of the entire Tao, perceiving the trajectory of the entire Tao, and enlightening the law and principle of the operation of the entire Tao. Obtaining recognition from the Great Tao. It can only approach the Great Tao step by step, which makes the embodiment of the Tao, enlightenment of the Tao, and verification of the Tao also have to be divided into small steps. This invisibly divides the levels of cultivation.
It's the weekend again, and a new month has begun. I uploaded a chapter this morning, and saw that my followers had increased by a few, which made me quite happy. Although my writing skills are not high, and my language is not beautiful, I am trying my best to write out my own thoughts and ideas. I also try to check my language and sentences carefully, so as not to have too many grammatical errors or typos that would offend the readers' eyes. It's been nearly half a month since I started uploading, and although the clicks are not high, and there aren't many followers, there are still a few people who read the thousands of words I upload every day, which makes me feel quite comforted, and I don't think my efforts have been completely wasted. Even if it's just for the sake of those friends who are willing to take a look, without minding that their eyes might be offended, I am still willing to try my best to write out my thoughts. Thank you all for not giving up on me!
