Chapter 29: The Conflict Begins
The doctor's face was expressionless, his eyes lightly half-closed, one hand firmly grasping Han Li's wrist.
His entire attention was focused on the strength of the true energy inside Han Li's body, and he didn't speak for a long time.
After a sip of tea, he finally took a deep breath, as if he had vented all his frustrations, his eyes suddenly opened wide, and a sharp light shot out from his dull eyes, making people dare not to look at him.
His face was gloomy. It was clear that he was dissatisfied with Han Li, but still no words of blame came out.
He indifferently waved his hand, signaling Han Li to follow him as they walked together.
Han Li quietly followed behind him, although he was very interested in the mysterious person on one side, but knew that it was not his turn to ask questions at this time.
After entering the house, Mo Dafu sat down on the armchair with some fatigue, his back tightly attached to the backrest, half-sitting and half-reclining. The sharp light in his eyes had dissipated, restoring the appearance of a long illness.
The mysterious man followed closely behind him, step by step, and after he sat down, stood straight up behind the chair, motionless.
Han Li knew that Mo Dafu was not feeling well in his heart and did not want to take the initiative to speak, so he learned from the mysterious person, walked to the middle of the house, faced Mo Dafu with his head down, and waited for the other party to ask questions without making any noise.
After a long time, no one spoke, Han Li found it strange and couldn't sit still. He quietly thought of lifting his head to steal a glance at Mo Daifu.
"Why sneak around? If you want to see something, just look!" Just as he raised his neck halfway up, Mo Dafu's cold and stern voice came over.
Han Lishen's son was stunned for a moment, then he obediently lifted his head up, his eyes circled around Mo Dafu's face several times before quickly shrinking back.
Han Li's face remained unchanged, but his heart was like a stormy sea, turbulent and unstoppable.
The doctor's face suddenly became sinister, with a layer of dark air faintly covering his pale face. This dark air seemed to have a life of its own, stretching out countless small tentacles that danced wildly on his face. What shocked Han Li even more was that the doctor had abandoned his usual stiff expression and revealed a fierce and decisive look, gazing at Han Li with an unkind gaze, his mouth curled up in a mocking smile.
Han Li felt that something was slightly off, a few points of unease lingering in his mind, and a hint of danger began to spread throughout the room.
He cautiously retreated half a step, pulling his hand into his sleeve to grasp the iron tube there, and only then did his tense nerves relax a bit. At this moment, he suddenly heard Dr. Mo's low, mocking voice beside his ear.
"A little cleverness, dare to take it out and show off?"
The doctor's body suddenly moved, and he changed from a half-reclining position to standing upright with an eerie smile. After a flash of his body, he seemed to have appeared beside Han Li like a ghost, staring at him with a cold "heh heh" laugh.
Han Li's face changed greatly, knowing that something was wrong, he hurriedly tried to raise his arm, but his body went numb and he couldn't move.
It was then that he saw his opponent's fingers withdraw from the acupoint on his chest.
It was too fast, and he didn't even notice his opponent's move at all.
"Mo Lao, what are you doing? Is there something wrong with your disciple? You can just speak up, why do you need to seal my acupoints?" Han Li said with a forced smile, no longer able to maintain his usual calm demeanor.
The old doctor didn't say a word, but just patted his own back with one hand, coughed lightly, and looked like an old dragon who was weak and couldn't withstand the wind.
Ke Han had just seen him restrain himself with a swift and fierce appearance, so how could he still dare to treat him as an ordinary seriously ill old man? On the contrary, his pretentiousness only added a few more points of vigilance.
"Master Mo, what is your status, and why must you treat me like an equal? If you release my acupoints, what punishment will I receive? I'll take it all on myself."
……
Han Li continued to say a few more flattering and pleasant words.
Ke Mo didn't even bother to reason with him, reached into his sleeve and pulled out the iron tube, held it in his hand, and looked at him with a mocking and disdainful gaze.
Han Li saw this situation, his heart sank to the deepest place, and the idea of using words to move the other party was also completely cut off.
The other side doesn't seem like they will give themselves any opportunity to take advantage of the situation.
Han Li slowly closed his mouth, and his face became calm. He looked back at Mo Daifu with an expressionless gaze.
At that moment, everything in the room seemed to have come to a standstill, as if it was the calm before a storm.
"Good! Good! Good!" Dr. Mo suddenly blurted out three "good"s.
"It's no wonder I, Mo Jingren, had my eyes on you. You can still remain calm and composed in the face of danger, not disappointing the huge investment I made in you." He suddenly began to praise Han Li.
"How do you want to deal with me?" Han Li didn't respond to Mo Daifu's words, but instead asked back.
"Heh heh! How should I deal with you?" Dr. Mo repeated Han Li's question without giving a definite answer.
"It depends on how you behave."
"What does it mean?" Han Li furrowed his brow, vaguely guessing some of the other party's intentions.
"I won't say it, with your intelligence, you should be able to understand a bit, right?"
"I can only guess a small part of it, but I still don't understand the whole story and its causes and consequences." Han Li did not deny it, and acknowledged it very frankly.
"That's right, do it this way. If you have any questions, just ask me directly, don't keep them bottled up inside." Mo Dafu smiled sinisterly, the dark energy on his face seeming to thicken a few layers, making his features even more ferocious.
"I know you've been on your guard against me, not really treating me as a master. But that's okay, I haven't really treated you as a disciple either." Mo Dafu said with a light hum.
