Chapter Eleven
Ming Lang stood on the gangway of the ship, gazing at the distant blue sky, his mouth corners rising higher and higher, his eyebrows and eyes all curved into a smile.
He had just gone downstairs to fetch mangoes and durians for cutting when he received a call from Gan Hou. As soon as the call was connected, Gan Hou exclaimed on the other end, "Ming Lang, Gong Xi is back! He just called me earlier asking about good fortune!"
Brightly under his hand at that time was a slip, the fruit knife along the finger just cut down, the index finger on at that time came a blood-red mouth.
"I told him that you dropped out of school the year he left, and then we lost contact. He also asked for your phone number, I guess he'll call you soon."
"Did you tell him my phone number?!" The bright eyes were wide open, and the bleeding finger was completely ignored, with all attention focused on the phone.
"Of course, I told him. Even if I didn't say it, he would ask others and they wouldn't tell him either. However, I didn't tell him the lucky phone number. For now, he can't get in touch with him, but judging from his attitude, someone will find out soon."
Gan Hou and Ming Lang both resent the fact that Gong Xi left without a word, causing Yun Hai to lose half his life and be forced to drop out of school. The hardships he suffered are not worth mentioning. Now that he's just recovered, Gong Xi is back again. Who wouldn't worry that he'll hurt Yun Hai once more?
After Monkey Gao and Ming Lang chatted for a while, just as they hung up the phone, Wu Zuoyu's call came in.
It started with those words: "Gong Xi has come back."
Suddenly he had a headache and dizziness, his chest felt stuffy, how could he come back? How dare he show up in front of Lucky again?
"It's clear, I think we should let him meet with Lucky and have them talk things through face to face..." Wu Zuoyu said calmly on the other end of the phone, Old Comrade Wu had always been calm and rational in dealing with this matter.
"What are you talking about?! Are you going to let Gong Xi cheat him again? If it happens one more time, will he even be able to survive?" Ming Lang shouted out of control, slamming his hand heavily on the table.
"It's clear that they're lucky and not so fragile. As for their affairs, I think it's better to let them handle it themselves. After all, we are outsiders..."
"Who is an outsider? Am I an outsider? I've been following him like a dog for three years, and I'm an outsider!!"
"Calm down, don't get excited, listen to me finish speaking." Wu Zuoyu suppressed his anger and persuaded in a low voice. "I know you've been with him through thick and thin these past few years, that's why I called you first to discuss this matter."
"I think that if there's any misunderstanding between them, talking it out can also untie their lucky knot."
"No way! I say no way! It's just not going to happen!" Ming Lang slapped the table, ignoring Wu Zuoyu's words, and told him: "No way! And don't even think about telling Lucky your contact information. If he finds out from someone else, that's fine. But if it's one of you people who tells him... forget about me, Ming Lang, turning against you! We'll be sworn enemies from now on!"
Wu Zuoyu spoke for a long time, only to realize that it was like playing the piano to a cow. He had no choice but to hang up the phone and let Minglang go wild. In the end, he was even forced to promise repeatedly not to reveal a single word about good fortune to Gong Xi.
"It's really true that enemies won't gather together!" Wu Zuoyu hung up the phone and shook his head, more tired than when he was dealing with others.
Minglang washed his bloody hands under the faucet, and didn't have the mood to deal with those fruits anymore. He walked back and forth alone at the bottom of the cabin for a while, and finally decided to shut down. Then he would find an opportunity to throw the lucky phone into the sea, and buy him a new phone and get a new card, so that no one could find him.
After thinking about it in a childish way, Ming Lang's face was bitter and he happened to run into his father who was walking downstairs.
With a hint from his father's eyes, Minglang immediately understood that his father had basically settled the luck. Minglang suddenly turned sorrow into joy, and it was still his old man! The old general came out to top two with one!
Minglang leaned against the stairs, brewing his emotions, and slowly walked towards Lucky. He had to settle with Lucky today, he believed that as long as Lucky nodded, everything would be easy.
Good luck is not a hypocrite, and he promised to be serious about the feelings of both people when dating himself. He will never have two boats with his feet, and Minglang is very confident in this regard. He knows Good Luck's character too well.
Lucky leaned against the railing, facing the sea, and fell into deep thought. His father's words had moved him, overturning many of his preconceived notions. It also opened up a path he had never seen before. He had always been confused about being gay, and if he still believed in the future and his own happiness before the Palace incident, that beautiful hope was shattered by reality, leaving him not even daring to look back, thinking about the past beauty, it hurt too much! The pain pierced his heart, aching to the bone.
Since then, he never had any expectations for the future, a happy future. Every time he looked forward, it seemed to be shrouded in mist, with no end in sight, so he thought that maybe he should just be like this, an old man who would spend his days alone, and every night, whether happy or joyful, painful or helpless, everything was experienced by himself, borne by himself.
But today, Minglang's father opened a door for himself, leading to the future, where the beautiful scenery could not help but move his heart. He didn't love Minglang; apart from Gongxi, he had never loved anyone else. Yet, he was also afraid of loneliness, and this kind of loneliness in his heart had already become unbearable. Must he really live alone, all by himself, until old age?
