Insomnia, or other disturbances
Location: Hole 14 of a certain golf course
Person: Zhou Mi
This weekend, close to dusk, Mimi was driving a ball car while thinking about how to get herself to sleep early tonight and go to the medical room to pick up some sleeping pills. The groups were still sweating profusely in the scorching sun, and it seemed to her that they had no intention of returning to the clubhouse. Anyway, today she came with a mentality of breaking the cauldron and sinking the boat, determined to work until nightfall. Otherwise, there was no other way out.
She has been having insomnia lately, and at two or three o'clock in the morning, she doesn't feel sleepy at all but doesn't want to do anything either. Sometimes, she suddenly feels fed up with everything related to work during the day, but it's not extreme enough for her to immediately hand in her resignation letter. It's just a faint chill in her heart that keeps rising to the surface, slowly and quietly, until she becomes fearful. As a result, she has spent the last few nights lost in this unknown fear, wandering for two or three hours before the alarm clock rings, signaling her to get up, put on makeup, and go to work. No one knows what's really going on inside her mind; they just sense that beneath her radiant smile lies an artificial component.
She recalled that when the car passed by the store on the way to No. 9 Middle School in the morning, she pretended to stretch her head inside, but unexpectedly, the quick-witted and agile ball boy kept her there, and a "slightly" silly her didn't know how many times she had repeated the same question to the ball boys, looking cute and speechless.
"Patrolling around and leaving footprints, today I came over for the first time in the middle of nowhere, don't you know anything to teach me?"
Lecture
"The new wine list won't open..."
"Didn't I emphasize it to everyone during the ball boy meeting? Did your ears run away at that time?"
"Hmm, seems like, maybe, probably, possibly, suspiciously, isn't it...??.... At that time I was dozing off." After A quickly finished saying those last few words, she quietly turned her face away and stuck out her tongue, her beady eyes not daring to look at her but she had sensed her expectation and trust in her.
".... Fine, fine, I'll tell you. Next time don't ask me again or I'll go crazy! Don't be skeptical anymore!"
Actually, after saying that, Mimi herself laughed too. The ball boy is indeed a lovely elf, every move and gesture exudes innocence, in an instant, he magically drew out the gloom from her body and even stuffed it with comfort and joy.
However, when she showed a rare genuine smile on her face, she did not know that the misfortune that had been haunting her since the first day of her birth year and could not shake off was quietly approaching her.
