Chapter Eighty-One: Personality Explosion
"It seems so." Pang Guang replied ambiguously, he didn't know how to answer this question either. The theft of classroom notes was his doing, but it wasn't like that, he just told that brainless big dog to get some classroom notes, and didn't tell him to be so blatant about it.
"This time you've made a big mistake, I heard from Zhou Li that Director Li has already issued the expulsion order, and it will take effect as soon as the school leaders sign it," said Lin Junyun.
"What?!" Pang Guang heard this and suddenly tightened up: "Are you kidding me?"
Lin Junyun said: "My mother has been with Director Li recently, I asked my mother to find him tomorrow to confirm whether there is any room for recovery."
Pang Guang was stunned for a moment and didn't hear Lin Junyun's words clearly. "God, this time my dad must beat me to a pulp. Again, I've been expelled in less than two months. I've never broken this record before." He returned to his room with a sigh, his eyes falling on a stack of classroom notes that had always annoyed him. Pang Guang's face darkened, "Get the hell out of here!" He threw all the notes out the window, "You damn idiot, big earrings, I told you to take care of the school notes, but you've caused a stir throughout the city. If I get expelled, the first one I'll kill is you."
The next day, Pang Guang walked into the classroom with a nervous heart, and the counselor immediately came over to inform Pang Guang to go to the principal's office.
He entered the principal's office, and saw that the principal was pacing back and forth while talking on the phone, looking very anxious. When he saw Pang Guang come in, the principal pointed to the sofa, indicating for him to sit down, and then continued to talk loudly into the phone, saying a lot of things that Pang Guang didn't understand at all, so he just sat there blankly waiting for the principal to finish his call.
"What a close call, luckily it's an old acquaintance." After hanging up the phone, the principal suddenly saw Pang Guang sitting on the sofa and was startled. "When did you come in? How did you get in without knocking?"
"Just now, I knocked on the door, you were talking on the phone, pointed to the sofa and ignored me." Pang Guang replied with a puzzled expression, thinking in his heart, how could such a muddle-headed old man become the principal.
The principal cleared his throat, "Pang Guang, do you know why I called you here?"
"I know, they told me to expel you, I think the school is too hasty, things haven't been investigated clearly and they've already made such a decision, I don't accept it..." Pang Guang said excitedly, but stopped halfway through because the phone on the principal's desk suddenly rang loudly.
The principal's expression was painful as he glanced at Pang Guang, saying "wait a minute", then grabbed the phone, and a smile appeared on his old face: "Hello, Dongcheng No. 1 Middle School."
"Hello, is this Principal Yao from Dongcheng No. 1 Middle School?"
"Yes."
"This is the Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission, and we would like to inquire about a student named Pang Guang from your school."
"Is this... are you talking about Pang Guang?" The principal looked at Pang Guang and replied without hesitation: "Pang Guang is an excellent student of our school, not only excelling in both character and learning, but also diligently making progress. He even uses his free time to voluntarily tutor younger students' homework. I know you're here because of the recent incident involving stolen class notes outside our school. On this matter, I can personally guarantee that it was absolutely not Pang Guang who did it. A student as excellent as him would never instruct others to steal someone else's notes. I wouldn't believe it even if you killed me! I hope you will base your investigation on facts, give my students a fair judgment, and restore the reputation of our school."
The other end of the phone was silent for a while before saying: "Alright, we will further investigate and collect evidence based on the information you provided. Thank you for your school's cooperation."
He hung up the phone and Principal thought for a moment, then dialed an extension number in the school with a "beep beep". Soon, Director Li walked in with a file folder.
The principal glanced at Pang Guang and signaled Director Li to go out to the balcony to talk. As soon as they walked out onto the balcony, Director Li hastily handed over the file folder in his hand to the principal: "Principal, I've taken a look, after Pang Guang transferred here, he has participated in two unit tests, with an average score of less than 10 points, always ranking last, it's really far-fetched to say that he is excellent in both character and learning!"
"That's it, no need to say more, it was expected. The principal waved his hand to stop Director Li: "It's not that we don't care about being well-rounded, we'll just make him well-rounded, do I need to teach you how to do such a simple thing?"
"Principal, I don't understand, why take this risk?"
The principal looked at Director Li, leaned in and whispered: "Old Li, I was right, there is a force secretly helping Pang Guang. Just now, the Provincial Education Department, Provincial Public Security Department, and Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission all called to inquire about Pang Guang's situation."
"Really?" Director Li's eyes widened: "Can such a small matter shock the provincial government?"
The principal nodded, "Hmph, on the surface it's about understanding the situation, but I reckon 99% of it is a warning to the school to handle things carefully. Otherwise, you think, stealing a laptop isn't murder or arson, not even robbery, such a small thing and yet it reached the provincial department in one go, clearly someone is secretly manipulating things behind the scenes. I'm guessing this person is 99% likely that mysterious figure Duan Yuguang."
"There is indeed such a possibility." Director Li patted the railing of the balcony and said with fear, "Fortunately, the principal reminded me in time, otherwise I would have made a big mistake."
"Yes, think more, look more, analyze more, and then act after careful consideration. There won't be any mistakes." The principal said to Director Li: "Since our remedy was timely, we didn't make a big mistake. Now think about how to remedy it and do things even better."
"Make things perfect?" Director Li didn't understand.
"Just remember one thing, Pang Guang is an excellent student in our school, with good grades and hard work, he absolutely won't do something shameful like robbing others of their belongings. How can we prove it?" The principal seemed to be muttering to himself, but also appeared to be answering Director Li's question.
Director Li pinched his head for a long time and finally understood the meaning of the principal's words. "Principal, rest assured, I'll take care of this matter. I guarantee it will be perfect. Pang Guang has been studying hard since he transferred to our school, and his grades have already surpassed most students."
The principal nodded, "Also, arrange for a teacher who is excellent in all aspects to give Pang Guang some extra lessons and make up for the effort. Dongcheng No. 1 Middle School is a key middle school and cannot always be dragged down by him."
"Alright, I understand." Director Li said and then left.
The principal returned to his office and saw Pang Guang sitting there in a daze. He cleared his throat and asked, "Pang Guang, do you know why I called you here?"
"I know, I made a mistake. You called me here to tell me that I'm being fired, right?" Pang Guang said coldly: "Anyway, it's not the first time for me."
"You're not stupid at all!" The principal sneered, "You've caused trouble for the school three or four times, and it's too easy to just expel you. It's really letting you off cheap."
"What else can be done?" Pang Guang raised his head, a pair of clear and cold eyes stared at the principal, he really couldn't think of any punishment more severe than being expelled.
"Starting from today, you will be punished to attend four more hours of classes every day. After school and dinner, come back to the school and I will arrange a full-time teacher for one-on-one tutoring."
"What?!" Pang Guang thought he had misheard, staring at the principal in surprise. Had his character suddenly exploded? Not only was he not expelled, but a special teacher was to be assigned to tutor him, the principal's news was indeed unexpected. He wanted to study hard, but didn't know where to start, when the principal showed great mercy, it seemed that getting back the computer and pocket money taken by Lin Junyun was possible.
"What's wrong, aren't you happy?" The principal had a smiling face: "You can't appeal, there's only obedience, otherwise wait for the school's expulsion order!"
"Will do, will do." Pang Guang looked at the principal and nodded his head like a chick pecking at rice.
"Alright, you go back to class first," said the principal.
Pang Guang responded with a murmur and was about to leave when the principal suddenly stopped him again: "Wait, that... Duan Yuguang is what relation to you?"
"You're talking about Uncle Duan? He's a good friend of my dad, they often drink and eat together. I heard it was him who arranged for me to come here and study." Pang Guang replied truthfully: "But I've never met him."
"Alright, nothing's wrong, you can go now." The principal nodded secretly in his heart, thinking that he had indeed guessed correctly, and it was indeed Duan Yuguang who was acting behind the scenes. He remembered that a few days before Pang Guang transferred to this school, he received a call from a heavyweight figure, asking him to arrange for Pang Guang's admission procedures.
The next day was Saturday, and Pang Guang couldn't stop thinking about his date with Zhang Xiaoting. At 4 pm, he dragged Lin Junyun to the Rich Hotel. Because of Zhang Xiaoting's current status, as a famous star, she couldn't dine in the lobby, so they searched for a while before finding the private room Zhang Xiaoting had mentioned. When they entered, they found that Zhang Xiaoting wasn't there, only Zhao Hankui was sitting alone smoking. Pang Guang didn't give him a good look and grunted a greeting before sitting down to play with his phone. Lin Junyun, on the other hand, was happy to see Zhao Hankui: "Uncle, you're here too! Where's Xiaoting?"
"Heh heh, Little Lin, take a seat! She's gone to the restroom." Zhao Hankui's voice was warm and gentle, but his gaze seemed to have already pierced through Lin Junyun's clothes and into her body. Lin Junyun, however, was oblivious to this and didn't notice anything out of place.
Lin Junyun had just sat down when Zhao Hangquan said with a reproachful face: "Little Lin, look at how thin you've become! Studying is important, but so is your body!"
"No choice, the final exam is approaching and the study pressure is huge." Lin Junyun smiled: "Uncle, I'm really sorry, you called me out to eat several times before but I didn't come, indeed couldn't spare the time, hope you don't mind."
"Don't worry, don't worry, it's not your fault." Zhao Hankui let out a "haha" and his sharp eyes flashed with amusement: "It's just that Uncle's charm is not enough to move Little Lin's heart."
