Chapter 59: The World Has Gone Mad

Chapter 59 The World Has Gone Mad

"Zhou Li, are you really going to try out for the role?" Lin Junyun hesitated for a long time. After hearing Zhou Li's words, she only then realized that the opportunity to audition was something Zhao Hanquan had deliberately helped her obtain. She wasn't very familiar with Zhao Hanquan and didn't originally want to owe him a favor, but seeing Zhou Li's expectant expression, not helping would make her feel uneasy in her heart.

"Of course, I've always dreamed of it." Zhou Li said without hesitation.

"Alright, I'll ask him later, but it's not necessarily going to work." Lin Junyun looked at Zhou Li again and recalled the strange feeling that had flashed by earlier. Thinking carefully, from junior high to senior high school, Zhou Li seemed to have no other friends besides himself, and the two of them were as close as sisters.

"Hooray, Jun Yun, I love you to death!" Zhou Li's eyebrows shot up in delight, her beautiful eyes sparkling with excitement.

Lin Junyun returned to his seat with a lot on his mind, and just as he sat down, the phone in his pocket suddenly rang "ding dong", indicating that there was a text message. Lin Junyun took out his phone to look at it, and the message was from Liu Xiang who was sitting behind him.

Lin Junyun turned around and glanced at Liu Xiao, but Liu Xiao's eyes were fixed on the blackboard, as if he had no idea what was going on.

"What's going on." Lin Junyun opened the message with a gloomy face, and the phone screen flashed for a moment before displaying the content of the text message: "What kind of soup did you give your husband? He looks like he got his head pinched by a door this morning, holding onto a book and reading it without changing posture for a long time."

Lin Junyun was taken aback, and he secretly glanced at Pang Guang. As Liu Xiang had said, Pang Guang was indeed engrossed in reading a book, completely unaware that Lin was sneaking a peek at him.

"What's it to you?" Lin Junyun didn't want Liu Wei to know too much, lest he provoke Pang Guang, so after replying with three words, he directly turned off his phone and threw it into the drawer.

The first class in the morning was history, and the white-haired teacher didn't know if he had a fight with his wife last night. He changed his usual soporific teaching method to be like a madman, shouting at the top of his lungs while holding a book, conducting a massive engineering project of spraying saliva. Seeing the history teacher suddenly become like a lunatic, classmates furrowed their brows, even Liu Miao, the second-best student in the class, felt that this world had gone completely crazy. The history teacher's high-profile posture, if he were to participate in the US presidential election, would be able to scare little Bush back into his mother's womb with just three successful forces.

Liu furrowed his brow, turned his head to look at Pang Guang, who was also seemingly hypnotized, and was shocked to discover that Pang Guang had gone crazy. He was pretending to be very pleased and enjoying himself in the midst of their history teacher's flying saliva. What's more, he was frequently nodding his head while taking notes on his crumpled notebook. With a complex mood, he looked at the history teacher again, who was notorious for being soporific during class, and finally came to a startling conclusion: "He's gone crazy, this world has completely gone mad."

The second class was math, and Pang Guang sat up straight with a serious expression, just like a primary school student. Others might think it strange, but he didn't feel that way, thinking to himself that students who listened attentively weren't all like this? Math was like an ancient history book written in oracle bones for him - not only could he not understand the major events recorded inside, even the mathematical symbols were enough to give him a headache. He made up his mind that in order to catch up with Lin Junxian's grades by the end of the semester, he should start from the most difficult subject, which was math.

"Pang Guang, does your family have any history of genetic diseases?" Liu Xiao couldn't bear Pang Guang's serious tone and poked him with his pen.

"No." Pang Guang looked at Liu Xiang.

"What's wrong with you? You're staring at me like a madman, your neck stretched out and your mouth twisted to one side. I thought you were having some kind of facial spasm."

"I'll punch you in the face." Pang Guang raised his hand and made a punching gesture.

Just then, the math teacher walked in with a book, and after a few jokes from Liu Xiao, Pang Guang's expression became more natural as he watched the math teacher walk up to the podium.

The math teacher is a beautiful woman, surnamed Zhang and named Xiaoyan. She's a recent college graduate who has been teaching at East City No. 1 Middle School for less than half a year. Her youthful energy hasn't faded yet. Liu Miao loves his math teacher the most, saying that Teacher Zhang is very pleasing to the eye, making her class super motivating. As for Liu Miao's opinion, Pang Guang always scoffs at it. He hadn't paid much attention to Teacher Zhang before, but today he made up his mind to study hard and couldn't help sneaking a few extra glances - indeed, she is very pleasing to the eye.

"Good morning, everyone." The math teacher put the book on the podium, with a faint smile on his face: "Before class, I'll give you three practice questions, and you have 10 minutes to do them." After finishing speaking, the math teacher quickly wrote down the three questions on the blackboard with chalk, then turned around to glance at his watch: "Time starts now."

As soon as Teacher Zhang finished speaking, all the classmates bowed their heads and began to work out the math problems seriously.

Teacher Zhang walked along the aisle, occasionally bending down to check the calculation process of students on both sides. In the spacious classroom, only the sound of pen tips scratching against paper and Teacher Zhang's flat shoes tapping on the floor could be heard.

"Alright, time's up. Students who have finished all three questions, please raise your hands." Teacher Zhang was already standing on the platform at exactly 10 minutes, smiling brightly at more than fifty students.
