Chapter 2: Private Money

  Chapter 2 Private Money

"What's the name? Pang Guang?" Mrs. Pong Dahu furrowed her brow, feeling that this name was not quite right, but couldn't quite put her finger on what it was that wasn't right about it. Just then, a doctor in a white coat came into the delivery room to perform a routine postpartum examination, and she didn't pursue the question any further.

"Dad, has a sheep kicked your head? Why aren't you saying anything?" Pang Guang took advantage of the moment when his father was deep in thought to quickly fold the rattan stick into several folds and throw it into the trash can. With a flattering tone, he said: "Dad, I want to change my phone. My classmates' screens are all bigger than mine, and only mine is so pathetic. As the son of a distinguished director like you, I really don't want to lose face for you!"

Pang Da Hu was taken aback: "Today's matter hasn't been settled yet, and you want to change phones? Don't even think about it. You little brat, you're always causing trouble for me from dawn till dusk, do you still know how to give me face? Count yourself, how many schools have you changed this year?"

"Dad, it's about changing phones, not schools, why are you bringing that up again?" Pang Guang pouted: "I knew I'd be wasting my breath asking, just forget I said anything, petty ghost, drink cold water, drinking cold water turns you into a devil, nothing else to do, I'm going to take a bath."

"Wait a minute." Pang Da Hu suddenly stopped him and turned around to walk to the desk, pulling open the drawer.

Pang Guang watched Pang Da Hu's actions, thinking that he was going to drag someone out for a fight. Suddenly feeling nervous, he frantically looked for a place to hide: "What are you doing? I just called you a petty ghost, and now you want to play tit for tat? I'm telling you, this kind of revenge isn't your style." After finishing speaking, Pang Guang took off running. His dad was already rummaging through the cupboard looking for something, so it was time to get out of there.

"Whatever... anyway, this phone was just bought two days ago and is still under warranty, so I can return or exchange it." Pang Da Hu smiled slyly at Pang Guang, closing the already opened drawer.

"Cell phone?" Pang Guangren had already run to the door of the study, and upon hearing the two words "cell phone", his handsome face lit up with a sly and somewhat playful smile. "I didn't hear wrong, did I? Cell phone? Dad, you really bought me a new cell phone?"

"You little stinker, hearing the words 'cell phone' is more exciting than seeing your old man." Pang Da Hu chuckled and pulled out a small box from his drawer, handing it to Pang Guang: "Your birthday is in two days, I was originally planning to give it to you on that day, but since you brought up changing phones, I'll give it to you ahead of time."

  "Hooray, thanks Dad."

Pang Guang eagerly opened the packaging box, inside was the latest Samsung large-screen mobile phone. He quickly installed the SIM card and battery, and immediately fell in love with it, playing with it non-stop.

"Haha, Dad is indeed a corrupt official, he actually gave me such an expensive phone as a birthday gift." Pang Guang teased while playing with Pang Dahu.

"You little stinker, that was bought with half a month's salary by your old man. You play later, let's chat for a bit, you and I?" Pang Da Hu gave Pang Guang a handful of roasted chestnuts, trying to steer the conversation back on track.

"Dad, I'll think carefully and understand thoroughly, but... you spent half a month's salary on this phone. Does that mean we don't have to pay the emperor's taxes this month? Or did you take out the private money you've been hiding in 'The Twenty-Four Histories'?"

Pang Bureau Chief was taken aback: "How did you know that there's money in 'The Twenty-four Histories'? You didn't tell your mom, did you?"

"Dad, you can rest assured, mom doesn't know the secret of 'The Twenty-four Histories', and she also doesn't know the secret of 'Tao Te Ching'." Pang Guang smiled, with a very mischievous smile.

Director Pang broke out in a cold sweat, thinking that keeping private money under the bed was not safe. Originally, he thought his wife wouldn't usually come into the study, so he scattered it around, hiding it inside several books. He didn't expect the study to be even more unsafe, harboring another evil force, with a danger level of at least three stars or higher.
