Chapter Twelve The Future is Bright
After several days and nights of hellish training, I finally escaped the clutches of Zhuge Kongming with Yunchang Wing De, and crawled alive into the examination hall. At that time, I really had a feeling of being reborn.
I'm so tired that as soon as I see a table, I want to lie down on it and sleep.
I even felt like I had really fallen asleep.
In my dream, I met a person with an indistinct face.
Like all the young people who are infatuated with love, I have infinite longing and yearning for this thing called love. In my imagination, love should be unique, pure, either black or white, the only one in the world that cannot be profaned at all.
I almost superstitiously believe that I will one day meet my true soulmate, and the romance between us must have been predetermined 800 years ago. It's the kind of love where we'll be together forever, like the legendary couple who died together under the bridge, or the kind where we'll be inseparable like two birds flying together in heaven and two branches entwined on earth, with a love that will last till the end of time. In short, it's the kind of love that is passionate and all-consuming, a love that makes one lose track of time and space, a love that is worth dying for, and even in death, our souls will be reunited in paradise.
I was so absorbed in thought, doing a good job, that I couldn't help but burst out laughing, with saliva splashing everywhere.
My left wrist suddenly hurt, my chin lost its support, I let out a "ouch" and woke up with a start, feeling like my forehead had hit the desk, it hurts so much.
I crawled up from the desktop and was shocked to see that I still held a pen in my right hand.
And beside it, close at hand, was a handsome face that inspired fear, and the hand that had just withdrawn, holding the pen holder upside down.
Lord Zhuge Kongming
I shuddered all over, and in his piercing gaze, I woke up like a cold wind. Shivering, I looked around, and not far away, Yun Chang was looking at me with pity.
Zhuge Xiaoliang's appearance was like a painting, but not particularly pleasing to the eye. He scribbled and drew on the scroll with a careless air, while casting me a sidelong glance that seemed to be smiling yet not quite. His eyes darted back and forth, constantly scanning me, as if he wasn't afraid of writing the answers outside the scroll.
I still didn't have the guts to look him in the eye, so I smiled fawningly and hastily scurried like a quail on the table, my eyes scanning up and down my test paper.
"This can be done, this one seems to know the answer too, this looks familiar, let me think carefully..."
My eyes shone brightly as I scribbled and wrote on the paper, with my full attention focused, I answered exceptionally smoothly. As I looked at the sheet of paper, one by one, the shameful blanks were gradually filled in, a sense of accomplishment arose in my heart, and I gradually ignored Zhuge's monitoring gaze.
The military knowledge examination in the morning went relatively smoothly.
Originally a two-hour task, under Zhuge's hellish training and extraordinary performance, it was miraculously submitted half an hour ahead of schedule. According to Zhuge's wisdom, he could have finished it in half an hour. But in order to push the supervision to the end, he showed a spirit that is not afraid of trouble or boredom. Although he had finished the paper, he just wouldn't leave, staring at me from the side - also staring at Yunchang and Yongde.
This kind of serious and responsible spirit is truly a teacher's friend and the second honorably invigilator in the examination room.
It's clear that Yun Chang and Yi De also performed well. After the three of us met, we were in high spirits, speaking loudly when discussing answers, and if our answers matched, we couldn't stop laughing. This was a far cry from our usual gloomy faces after leaving the exam hall.
I seem to have received some kind of resentful telepathy from someone in the corner, but I pretended not to see him and laughed even louder, my facial muscles twitching. Cloud and Wing looked at me with fear in their eyes, but I couldn't stop my own performance desire until Zhuge came over and hit me on the head with a feather fan, stopping a campus tragedy caused by laughter out of control.

But this afternoon, I'm a bit nervous because I have to take an advanced math exam.
I can handle everything else, but math is an exception. I'm a number idiot, it's common knowledge.
Even if Zhuge Xiaoliang is a genius, it's impossible for him to make me become an expert in just three days.
The invigilator, Mr. Chen Deng, is an old family friend and has always been very kind to me, so he wouldn't have any malicious intentions of not letting me pass. Seeing me scratching my ears and cheeks, he felt sympathetic but also secretly worried that if my grades were too poor, it would be a loss of face for him as the head teacher. So he stood by the window, gazing out at the distant sky with a mixture of emotions.
I know this is Director Chen's special care, otherwise, why not let the impartial and upright Teacher Chen Guan come to supervise the exam? Because the director knows that if it were Teacher Chen Guan, our problematic class would probably have more than half of the students failing, except for the likes of Zhuge Xiaoliang and Zhou Xiaoyu.
As expected...
When the snow-white scroll fell into my hands, I stared at those twisted formulas and numbers, a burst of golden stars flashed before my eyes, and then it was as if I had fallen into a dark traveler, endless darkness, not even a thread of light representing hope.
I swallowed a mouthful of saliva.
After staring at the paper that ruined my good mood for ten minutes, I relied on my residual impression, sixth sense and guessing skills to roughly answer the multiple-choice questions, and then I was completely stumped.
Other math problems and drawing questions are beyond my imagination. I originally wanted to make up some answers, but I don't even know how to start.
Alas, heaven! Who can save me?
My eyes welled up with tears.

"Master..." I leaned on the desk, looking at the person next to me, blinking my eyes, sending out an "SOS" message.
Zhuge's face showed a look of regret and frustration, his firm and unyielding gaze locked onto mine for a full ten minutes.
I looked at him with a worried and bitter face, determined not to let him leave without a fight.
He shook his head and withdrew his gaze.
I'm wondering if he's being conciliatory or just too lazy to bother with me anymore.
Then I was surprised to find that he waved his hand on the draft paper, and then crumpled up the draft paper into a ball, looking as if he wanted to throw it over.
I was overjoyed and rubbed my fists together in preparation for receiving the ball.
Just as Zhuge's hand moved, the draft ball representing love and truth flew between me and him at this critical moment. At this time, a person came out from behind the table, his body happened to hit the small ball, and he actually knocked it open.
The ball fell to the ground.
But I simply couldn't believe my eyes: how could there be such a coincidence in this world?
But when I saw who it was, I let out a long sigh: I knew that in this world there aren't many people like him.
Zhou Xiaoyu held up her own test paper and placed it on the table, then turned around and walked out the door.
Go ahead and leave then, but take one last look at me.
Just look then, I'm not afraid of you looking, but his eyes were sharp.
The corners of his eyes were slightly raised, and a cold smile still hung at the corner of his mouth.
I was extremely angry, stretched out my hand to feel around on the table, and unexpectedly found a small ball. Seeing that Chen Deng wasn't paying attention, I fiercely threw it at Zhou Xiaoyu.
Several gasps of cold air came from around his ears.
Zhou Xiaoyu's smile grew thicker, and with a stretch of her hand, she grasped the draft ball, her movements naturally elegant, and with a flick of her sleeve, she departed.
This person is indeed very talented at picking up trash.
I withdrew my gaze with a scowl, but met Zhuge's astonished eyes.
"What's up?" I asked with a fake smile.
Zhuge didn't even bother to reason with me, his hand hidden in his sleeve pointed at the path between us.
I looked down.
The answer ball that was originally there, knocked down by Zhou Xiaoyu, is gone.
Really?
I suddenly had a bit of an epiphany about what was going on, and I turned around in shock to look at Zhou Xiaoyu who had already walked out of the classroom, then looked at Zhuge Xiaoliang.
He nodded painfully at me.
I clutched at my chest with a throbbing heart, tore at the collar of my shirt in distress, and slapped my thighs repeatedly, almost collapsing onto the table in agony.

The perfect solution was that I stared at Zhuge Xiaoliang for another five minutes, and the result: he compromised again.
This indeed proves the truth that "the process is tortuous, but the future is bright", so no matter what you do, don't give up easily.
However, Zhuge Xiaoliang had made up his mind this time and did not give me a third chance. As he threw the answer onto my desk, he stood up with his own paper and floated away from this dirty examination room.
As I finished copying with a flourish and handed in my paper, Director Chen, who seemed to be concentrating on the scenery outside the window, had a smile on his face.
And I lay down, turned over the answers to Yide who unfortunately sat in the front row. He was scratching his ears and cheeks. I coughed, pushed the door out, and made a gesture with my eyes at that moment. The guy was overjoyed with a innocent and happy expression.
While the cloud behind me gazed at me with a calm smile. I didn't worry about him at all, because those girls who had good feelings for Yi would absolutely not bear to see the handsome guy turn white-haired, Ah, love is indeed blind.
