Once a vast ocean

  Once a vast ocean

The National Day holiday has ended, and classmates have reluctantly returned to school with complaints.

But for third-year high school students, every second counts has already become a habit in their lives.

Qin Xiao and Bai Ze Hua met less and less frequently, after all, one was in an ordinary class and the other in a key class. Occasionally, they would catch a glimpse of each other, but it was just a brief greeting before they rushed off to their respective classrooms.

Days went by in such a dull way, Qin Xiao became more and more restless.

But this is also a common problem. Almost everyone before the exam was expressionless.

One small test a week, one big test every two weeks, classmates have long been accustomed to such a fiery situation.

Bai Ze Hua was an exception, after the winter break, he had a great time for the whole semester.

"I say, you're having a pretty leisurely life, aren't you?" Just barely squeezing out time to eat, Qin Xiao still had to hold onto his PDA to review vocabulary.

"I got an offer from Pennsylvania."

"Oh yeah! Congratulations, I'm really happy for you!"

"Thank you. And how about you? Weren't you studying TOEFL last semester, preparing to go somewhere?"

"Why me? My parents only let me study so I can accompany Huan Yi. They only sent her abroad, how could they possibly be willing to spend money on me?"

Qin Xiao's tone was full of self-mockery. A hint of bitterness also rose up, Huan Yi didn't want to go abroad, but her parents had sent her away, while she herself wanted to go so badly, they wouldn't agree. They were all children, how could the difference be so great?

It's been like this since she was a child, not fitting in with her own family. She had doubted whether she was their biological child or not. But whether it was true or not, she still had to live according to their moods.

But she was truly happy for Shirakawa Haku, really, from the bottom of her heart. And a little envious, no, very envious.

She had never heard Bai Ze Hua mention his parents, and she thought that maybe Bai Ze Hua's parents were not good to him either. But the prominent family status, the grandfather who doted on him, and the lovely younger siblings. These were enough to make people envy.

At that time, Qin Xiao didn't know how complicated the Bai family was. She also didn't know that her own family was just as complicated.

When she knows everything one day, what will she think then?

"Sorry. But if you really want to go abroad, I have enough strength to support you." Bai Ze Hua originally wanted to say some comforting words, but Qin Xiao didn't like that.

Sometimes, talking about certain things isn't to gain sympathy or to appear pitiful. Therefore, Qin Xiao dislikes any form of pity and sympathy.

"Thanks. But I think, in the future, I will prove to my parents how wrong their decision was." Qin Xiao smiled indifferently.

She glanced at her watch, "I won't say any more. I have to go back to the classroom, or else my homework won't be finished." Then she picked up the bowl and plate and left, putting them in their designated place.

Before Shirakawa Haku could say goodbye, she had already walked away.

  Like fleeing.

Bai Ze could see her heart but couldn't see through it.

She doesn't have a stunning appearance or a face that can astonish people. She has a stubborn heart, like a thorny bush, hurting her own tender heart and making those who try to get close to her bleed.

And in her heart, there was a layer of ice wrapped around it.

But you know what, Qin Xiao? If possible, give me a chance to be the sunshine that melts the ice on your heart. Just like when I was seven years old, you warmed my entire world. Even if you've long forgotten it.

  Feng Xiaoxiao's Apology Letter:

I'm really sorry everyone! I feel terrible about it.

I previously promised two updates a week, but this week I've only updated once and with so few words.

Due to the busy recruitment of new students in the club's new semester, it will be delayed.

Failed to live up to everyone's expectations, I beg for your forgiveness! (kowtowing)

Next week is Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, I decided to update 10,000 words!

Thank you all for your support, especially those who have collected this book.

  Thank you
