Forty-eight of us, this batch of post-80s and post-85s

  Forty-nine, our batch of post-80s and post-85s (1)

At more than ten o'clock in the morning, I met Lan Qi at the station.

I'm wearing a green bubble sleeve T-shirt, blue denim shorts, brown hair tied in a ponytail, a red sun hat on my head, and a pair of brown sunglasses. I have a small brown leather bag slung over my shoulder.

This is what Lan Qi said about herself on the phone.

With these characteristics, I soon spotted the blue ribbon in the crowd.

Lan Qi gave me a first impression of being a very efficient and capable girl.

I waved at Lan Qi, she saw it and walked quickly towards me.

"Alright, Muxian," said Lan Qi with a smile, politely shaking hands with me.

I smiled and greeted her, "I found that the girls who are tour guides are all very pretty, and they also know how to dress themselves up."

Lan Qiao smiled slightly, "Maybe it's because of the nature of the job, when applying for a tourist visa, girls with a better image and temperament are more likely to pass."

"As a tour guide, those scenic spots, wherever you want to go, it's really enviable," I said with a smile.

"Going to those scenic spots is a work requirement, not a holiday trip. Repeating explanations over and over again, speaking until my mouth is dry and tongue parched, standing until I'm both tired and exhausted... at that time, you won't be envious anymore," Lan Qi said with a smile.

"It's possible, a scenic spot, going once or twice is okay, but if you go ten or eight times, it gets annoying," I chuckled.

"Sometimes, a scenic spot is not just about going there ten times eight times, those short trips, one of which has to go ten times eight times in a month, you will definitely feel more annoyed," Lan Qi laughed.

"It seems like being a tour guide is also a tough job," I said.

"This industry is all about being young, think about it, when you get older and have a family and kids, who's going to let you be a tour guide? Of course they'd rather want those fresh graduates, young people just starting their careers," said Lan Qi with a chuckle. "Sometimes I even regret it, why did I impulsively choose this major in the first place?"

I laughed and said, "It's okay, it's okay. After doing it for 8 to 10 years, I'll have gained experience and resources, then I can switch to another industry."

  Lan Qiao burst out laughing.

He Lanxi and I chatted for a few more sentences before we boarded the bus heading to Xinfeng.

On the bus, Lan Qi told me some interesting stories about being a tour guide, and also shared some experiences from her group trips abroad. Later on, we started talking about legendary private servers.

Naturally, we started talking about Ma Dai.

"I called him yesterday afternoon and he said he had a blind date this morning, so maybe just now, he's just finished the blind date," I said.

"I think he can summarize his experiences and insights into a comprehensive encyclopedia of blind dates," said Lan Qi with a smile.

"I asked him why he had been on so many blind dates without success, and he replied with just three words: 'no spark'. I jokingly suggested that next time he should choose a place with the sign 'High Voltage Substation' for their date. If there's still no spark, take an iron wire and poke it into the substation, I really don't believe it wouldn't work," I said with a smile.

Lan Qi also burst out laughing, "He didn't succeed in blind dating, mainly because of his unreasonable demands. Think about it, if you were him, with a family that owns a factory worth hundreds of millions and earns tens of millions a year, what kind of girl would you look up to?"

"What you said is quite right, if Ma Dai was just a young working-class man who earns only 30,000 to 50,000 yuan a year, he would have gotten married long ago and wouldn't be so picky about girls," I said.

"Didn't these leftover men and women all end up like this? They felt their conditions were superior, so they picked and chose, and before they knew it, time had passed and they'd grown older. In the end, they're anxious," Lan Qi said with a smile.

"You'd better take it as a warning, but whatever you do, don't follow in the footsteps of Ma Dang," I said with a smile. Not long after I got to know Lan Qi, she told me that she had a boyfriend in college, and they broke up when they started working, until now, two years later, she still hadn't found another boyfriend.

Lan Qiao laughed, "If I were to become a leftover woman one day, it definitely wouldn't be because I feel superior, but because I've lost hope in society and love, and think everything is fake."

"How did you get this idea? It feels like I've seen through the red dust, as if I've been stimulated by something?" I laughed.

"I'm just saying, hypothetically, not that it's happening now. Besides, the general consensus is that you're only considered a leftover woman if you're over 28, and I'm only 22 this year, so I still have six years to get married," Lan Qi said with a smile.

"With your conditions, if you want to marry yourself off, it won't take six years, but less than six hours, and you'll be snatched up by someone," I said with a smile.

"What you said isn't getting married, that's a clearance sale, huh? I was thinking too, maybe one day I'll marry a foreigner," Lan Qi said with a smile.

"Why think of this? Having traveled all over China's tourist spots, now going abroad as a tour guide?" I laughed.

"No, at the beginning of this year, my mother went to the temple and drew a divination for me. The divination said that I would marry far away in the future. When my mother told me this, I said, 'I'll get married abroad in the future,'" Lan Qi laughed.

"I also think you have this possibility, when you took the tour guide exam, wasn't English proficiency required? Who knows, maybe one day you'll really get married abroad," I said with a smile.

"It's best to marry into Europe, and if that doesn't work out, marrying into the US or Australia would be okay too," said Lan Qi.

"If you get married abroad in the future, don't forget about us, right? Isn't there a saying that goes 'even if you become wealthy and noble, don't forget each other'?" I said with a smile.

"Don't worry, I definitely won't forget you. Besides, Gu Xue Lin and I are like sisters, our relationship is so good, how could I bear to forget her? Hmm, I'm even thinking of making a pact with her as sisters in the future." Lan Qi said.

"I can see that, she has always treated you like a close sister, very trusting. The things you said about blood type and zodiac signs, she's still quite obsessed with those now," I said with a smile.

"Ling is a kind and simple girl, but this society is too complicated and dark. I also realized in the past two years after working and meeting more people that the crystal palace is fake, the glass shoe is fake, Venus is fake, Athena is also fake. Only the endless struggle and grudges between people are real."

Lan Qie's words left me speechless for a moment.
