Chapter 1 Section 6 Night Road

  There is no more An Zhi's protection. Lu Youyou stood alone, facing everything in front of her. Lu Youyou was at a loss for what to do.

  The rose in front of me becomes more gorgeous under the silver and white dress on a winter day.

  "Who?" Lu Youyou looked at the standing Yi Hao in front of her, not knowing what to do next. Afraid that one small movement would break this beautiful scene.

  "I've been waiting for you here." Yi Hao waved the rose in his hand.

  "Alas, I've failed. Here, take this." Yi Hao stuffed the rose into Lu Youyou's hand and turned to disappear into the thick night shadows, leaving no trace behind.

  Lu Youyou stood still, looking at the rose in her hand and then at the empty surroundings. She started to feel scared. An Zhi, that guy, how could he be so heartless?   Lü Youyou walked in the direction of home while thinking to herself. Without the care of the night, everything around her no longer seemed beautiful.

  "You're quite something, aren't you?" Lu Youyou was startled by the sudden voice.

  "Who? Come out!" Lu Youyou shouted loudly, holding the rose in front of her chest like a defensive weapon.

  "What's there to be afraid of? It won't eat you." An Zhi walked out from the dark corner and stood in front of Lu Youyou, with a smile all over his face.

  But in Lu Youyou's eyes, An Zhi's smile seemed to be blown out by the cold wind, not like it came from the heart.

  "What are you doing here?" Lu Youyou put away the "weapon" in her hand.

  "What else can you do? You're rushing back home like this?" An Zhi said with a smile.

  "What does it have to do with you whether I go home or not?" Lu Youyou said strongly.

  "Haha, now you're being stubborn. If you don't leave, I'm leaving." An Zhi said as he turned around.

  Lu Youyou followed An Zhi, despite her tough exterior. They walked slowly on the road, but after a few steps, she felt something was off. If they had been walking at their usual pace, they should have arrived home by now. However, there was no sign of their house in sight. She wondered if An Zhi's brain was muddled today and had led them astray again.

  "Hey? Are you lost?" Lu Youyou stopped in her tracks and looked at An Zhi, who was walking slowly ahead of her.

  "Believe me, how can I take the wrong road? I've been walking this road for many years. It's just you, even when you're so big now, still don't recognize the road. Let's see what you'll do in the future when you go out without me." An Zhi also stopped and said.

  "It's really not right to walk with you. If I were walking alone now, I might have arrived home already." Lu Youyou said as she began to look around in all directions, as if searching for the way back home.

  "What are you looking at? It's getting dark so quickly today. What time is it now? The sun sets early nowadays. I don't know?" An Zhi walked over and grabbed Lu Youyou's hand, then started walking forward without saying another word.

  Yu Yu followed silently behind him. The two of them walked strangely on the dark road, their feet trampling the snow that fell ceaselessly.

  "What's wrong?" An Zhi turned around and asked.

  "What's wrong? Accompany me for a bit..."

  "Good." An Zhi agreed immediately, without even waiting for Lu Youyou to finish speaking. Because An Zhi knew that even if he didn't agree now, after being nagged by Lu Youyou, he would still end up agreeing. If he had to start coaxing her after she had made a fuss, that would be truly not worth it.

  "Come over here. Are you coming or not?" Lu Youyou looked at An Zhi who was still out of reach and started to get unhappy, her face stern as she spoke.

  "Don't be angry," An Zhi said as he backed away.

  "Are you coming or not?" Lu Youyou said as she suddenly darted to An Zhi's side.

  Anzhi's scream immediately echoed far and wide in this empty night.
