Case study

  Case study

Tiantian's parents were merchants, not very rich but relatively well-off. Tiantian was born beautiful and her mother had always been proud of her beauty. Her mother was a woman who loved to dress up and would often take Tiantian out dressed up nicely. Whenever others complimented Tiantian on her looks, her mother would be extremely pleased. From a young age, her mother would perm her hair, apply lipstick, draw eyebrows, and dress her in high-end clothes. At school, she attracted attention with her beauty and stylish dressing, which made her feel proud for a while. Boys would harass her, trying every means to stir up the heart of this young girl. She had her first kiss with a boy at the age of 14, when she was still in junior high school.

That was a boy two years older than her, who looked very handsome but didn't study well. Some people said they were "well-matched", implying that being good-looking and not studying well made them a good match. In her own words: "No one should look down on anyone". And so, they became friends. One evening, the two of them had a date in the park, and the boy suddenly hugged her and kissed her bravely. At the time, she felt very excited and happy, thinking that this was love. Not long after, they started having sex, and it was unstoppable, causing their attention to be diverted from studying, and their grades got worse and worse. The more she lost confidence in her studies, the more she wanted to focus on dressing up. The emptiness and lack of substance inside made her want to hang out with those boys who claimed to like her even more, and the boys would fight over her, which she had foolishly taken pride in. It wasn't until it endangered her own safety, as well as that of other classmates, and her family's safety, that she realized the severity of the problem. She finally became a bad girl who made her parents lose face and was abandoned by the school.

Parents' beatings, classmates and teachers' cold eyes made her convinced that she was a despicable girl. The "despicable" girl was ignored by everyone, so she had to find the "despicable boy", which led to not returning home at night, getting pregnant and having an abortion, until finally she couldn't even stand herself, and reached the point of wanting to end her own life.

Her father and mother said in a fit of anger, "It's better to die without shame." But they didn't think about what responsibility they should bear for the child becoming like this today. Why do pretty girls often study poorly? Some people say it's heaven's fairness, but actually it's because their parents haven't taught them how to appreciate and make good use of their beauty.

The road underfoot has deviated from its direction.

When a beautiful child is born, as parents, they should constantly remind them to forget about their beauty and let them know that they are the same as others, that physical appearance is not important, but rather having good qualities, rich knowledge, and profound thoughts. Having only beauty is not enough to make someone proud, only through one's own efforts, becoming a person of both virtue and talent, can one become valuable and respected by others.

Just as Sweet has always considered her behavior to be something shameful (because of early love, which has always been the most sensitive and negative thing in both family and school), so once children fall in love early, the pressure is huge. Once they go astray, they consider themselves to be a shame, how dare they tell their parents, let alone inform teachers or classmates. When people experience emotional turmoil, their greatest wish is to confide in someone closest and most trusted, especially for girls. If Sweet could have told her parents and teachers frankly and without any pressure or worries when she first had intimate contact with the boy (logically, parents and teachers should be the people closest to a child), if she could have received timely correction and guidance from them, as well as care, understanding, help and consideration, she would not have gone so far, fallen so deep, hurt herself so badly, caused such great harm to her family, brought such big troubles and annoyances to school, teachers and classmates, or even created unstable factors for society.

However, on the contrary, when she was deeply trapped in the emotional web and felt most helpless, what she feared facing the most and gave her the greatest pressure were her closest family members and teachers who had the obligation and responsibility to help her. This ultimately led to such a tragic outcome. Therefore, strengthening education on love and relationships for primary and secondary school students, including vocational schools, and changing traditional views on love and relationships is crucial for the physical and mental health of young people. It is also the top priority in quality education. Quality education should first be received by parents and teachers; only unqualified parents and teachers can produce "unfilial" boys and girls. Teaching children a healthy and developmental concept is far more important than just hoping they get into a prestigious university.
