Chapter 83: The Red Thread is All Messed Up (3)
"Baek Jeong-min!" I was a bit angry, frowning and tugging on his sleeve, "Your personality is too weird!"
This sentence worked, his face turned even redder, but he turned around and stared at me for a few seconds before speaking in a low voice, "Sorry, maybe it's because I like you too much. About the question earlier, do you remember that time when we exchanged love letters? I think that's when I started paying attention to you. Every time your friends came to watch the game, I would look through all the faces in the audience and pray for your appearance, but unfortunately, it didn't happen often."
He started counting on his fingers at this point, and the gesture was quite adorable. I felt my cheeks burning, and subconsciously looked away, fanning myself with a book, but still feeling hot.
"Isn't the air conditioner cooling?" Bae Jung-min was really slow-witted, he checked the ventilation hole above and muttered, "It's not blocked."
I glared at him, muttering to myself that it was his confession that had moved me so much. All girls like this kind of straightforward expression of emotions without any extra embellishments. It was unexpectedly touching. But on the surface, I remained calm and collected, flashing my usual smile. "That time was just for helping a friend deliver a love letter to you, didn't expect it to turn into a scandal that got more and more out of hand."
"Yes." Bae Jung-min's smile became more natural, and he smiled, "When I heard this rumor, I was actually very happy. It's great to meet you!"
"Thank you." I found myself unable to resist the charming smile of the handsome guy, so I shifted my gaze to a nearby restaurant and changed the subject, "We're here."
"Uh-huh." Bae Jung-min responded with a thoughtful tone, standing up and positioning himself by the door. After the train stopped at the station, I followed him out of the car. Just a few steps later, I saw Hahn Sung standing next to a vending machine. He probably hadn't seen me yet, as he was chatting and laughing with a girl beside him, their close proximity and affectionate gestures making them seem rather annoying.
"Vivian, hurry up, there are many people lining up!" Bae Jung-min also saw it, he suddenly pulled my hand and walked quickly into the restaurant, I didn't have time to turn back and take a look at them.
"Bae Jung-min, I'm fine." But I felt a lump in my throat and waved my hands several times to shake it off, but couldn't get rid of it, so I continued crying out, "I really am fine! Let go!"
