Chapter 79 Snow (Four)

  Chapter Seventy-Nine Snow Four

The boy's sudden attack left Su Qi'er with no time to react, and she instinctively dove into the snow pile beside her, barely avoiding the ten ice cones. Su Qi'er scrambled out of the snow pile, brushing off the snow on her face, only to see that the spot where she had just been standing was now filled with ten ice cones, each one deeply embedded in the ground. If she hadn't dodged in time, she would have been pierced through! The thought sent a chill down Su Qi'er's spine, and she became even more vigilant.

"Hehe... you still like snow, huh!" The boy chuckled and walked towards Su Qi Ruo, with two giant snowballs rolling beside him, each one taller than the boy himself. With every roll, the snowballs grew bigger as they picked up more snowflakes. "Let's have a snowball fight! Isn't that what humans like to do?"

Su Qi quickly retreated with vigilance, if he was hit by this half-person-high snowball, he would be crippled even if he didn't die.

The boy saw Su Qi's cautious retreat and comforted her with a smile, "Don't be afraid, it doesn't hurt, let's start!" Before he finished speaking, two snowballs suddenly popped up from the snowy ground, and the fluttering snowflakes seemed to hint to Su Qi that what was in front of her was just an ordinary snowball. The floating snowball was like being held by someone, slightly retreating before rushing towards Su Qi again.

"I'm going!" Su Qi felt that she had never been so agile in her life, dodging left and right, but still couldn't avoid being grazed by the snowball in multiple places. The snowballs hit the ground with a dull "thud" sound, Su Qi clenched her teeth in anger, this boy was too despicable! On the surface, it was wrapped in snow, but inside, it was actually ice. Even if it were an ordinary snowball hitting her body, it would definitely leave a big bruise. Not to mention such a big one, if she got hit, it would be a comminuted fracture for sure!

"Aren't you the Water God? How can you be so weak?" The boy tilted his head, a look of doubt on his face. "I'm starting to question your identity..."

"Is that so?" Su Qi said with a hint of hatred. Facing this sinister little boy, she had to give him a show of her strength, or he would never know the meaning of "death". Su Qi knelt down on the ground, her hands supporting her body, and frantically circulated the spiritual energy within her. Suddenly, a loud rumbling sound came from deep beneath the earth, like the galloping of ten thousand horses.

The little boy was amazed at the sudden appearance of the strange phenomenon, and cautiously retreated two steps. The playful expression on his face also slowly converged.

Like a giant dragon awakened from its ancient slumber, the entire earth trembled. With a deafening roar, a blue giant dragon emerged from the ground with an air of dominance and soared into the sky before diving towards the boy.

The boy swung his arms, and the snowflakes quickly gathered to welcome the giant dragon, wrapping it entirely. The dragon thrashed about, shaking off the snowflakes, but countless more surged forward, pouncing on the dragon. However fast the snowflakes swirled, they only slowed the dragon's pace. A look of terror appeared on the boy's face. His arms moved faster and faster, just as the dragon was about to collide with him. Suddenly, a blinding white light burst forth without warning, lasting for several minutes before slowly fading away.

After the white light dissipated, the blue giant dragon that was originally flying towards the boy had become a huge ice sculpture. The boy leaned against the ice sculpture, his entire body trembling violently, with bright blue blood hanging from the corner of his mouth. He gasped and coldly laughed, "Is that all? The Water God's Orthodox has fallen to this point, you must die today, otherwise, you will humiliate me, the Water God's lineage!"

"Are you a Water God?" Su Qi furrowed her brow, "You're also a Water God?"

"What? Can't you even tell I'm a Water God?"

"Aren't you a snow demon?" Su Qi Ruo, having consumed too much spiritual energy, sat paralyzed on the ground, her physical condition only slightly better than that of the boy. If the boy were to throw two more snowballs at her, she wouldn't even have the strength to dodge.

"One of the six ancient gods, the Water God is the master of all waters in the world. Water, rain, snow, ice, frost, and hail are all transformations of water. Everything is a system of the Water God. You are the orthodox Water God, ruling over all waters in the world. All things related to water are under your control. However, you can only attack using water. It's clear how stupid you are, fundamentally not understanding the legacy."

The boy's straightforward words made Su Qi's face flush with shame, usually being looked down upon by Wei Wen and Lu was nothing, but now being said by a 7 or 8 year old boy, Su Qi's self-esteem was deeply hurt. How could this water god be spoken of as if he were an imposter?

"According to you, everything related to water is under my control. Then I should be able to use spiritual power without relying on water?" Although often accused of being foolish, Su Qi had to admit that he knew very little about the Water God series. It was rare to meet someone from the Water God series, and if he didn't take this opportunity to ask questions, wouldn't he be stupid? His teacher always said, "Don't be ashamed to ask!"

"Of course not, water will only enhance your spiritual power."

"Why do I always feel like there's not enough water to rinse thoroughly every time I use it?"

"You are a mortal body, your body can't withstand overly powerful spiritual energy, you need to use spiritual energy frequently to let your body gradually adapt."

"It's no wonder..." Su Qi Ruo was suddenly enlightened as the boy spoke, and her mind gradually cleared up. It was because water could enhance the effect of spiritual power that she felt spiritual power was more effective with water as a medium, but in fact, it wasn't like that at all. Spiritual power could be used freely, just like Lu Ke and She Rui Wen, who could use their spiritual power to attack directly at any time.

"I didn't expect you to be so kind-hearted," Su Qi Ruo said casually, but then she thought again - weren't the Snow Demons here to eat her? Why were they suddenly helping her understand things? Were they not here to eat her after all?

The boy fell silent for a moment before speaking up, "I was originally formed from kind thoughts."

"You just said you and Yuki-onna are one person. If you're a manifestation of good thoughts, what is she a manifestation of? Evil thoughts?"

"That's right." The boy's lovely face suddenly turned solemn, and such a sudden change made Su Qier feel somewhat unwell. She felt that the boy seemed to have some unspeakable secret.

"What's wrong? Got something on your mind?" Su Qi's thoughts of gossip immediately jumped out.

The boy's complex gaze looked far away, and after a long time, he said, "Actually, it's not that much, just an old story."

"Is it about you and the Snow Demon? Didn't you say that you are also from the Water God lineage? If so, why would people call you a Snow Demon?" Su Qi's curious mind was always quite active.

"Do you want to know?" The boy asked seriously.

Su Qi said tactfully, "Uh... I just want to know about the Water God series." If she said it directly, wouldn't it make herself seem too nosy?

The boy sighed and gazed into the distance again, "Might as well say it out loud, or else I'll soon forget myself."
