Chapter 5: A Strange Feeling
Su Qi had a fixed seat in a certain classroom on the second floor of the first teaching building. This classroom was usually empty all year round, so she didn't need to carry her books around the entire teaching building every day to find a self-study room. Originally, Su Qi wasn't interested in this popular self-study room, but her dormitory mates risked their lives to reserve a seat for her, and she was happy to enjoy it. It's worth noting that the location of this self-study room was publicly known within the school, and Su Qi had unknowingly indulged in a luxury.
Ever since Lu Ke thought he was Su Qi Ru's boyfriend, every time Su Qi Ru appeared in the self-study room, he would find a cup of hot milk tea on his desk. Although Su Qi Ru was very curious about how Lu Ke knew his schedule so accurately, that wasn't the point - the point was this care and attention to detail; if it weren't for the Bloodline Inheritor and Soul Binding Curse, he would definitely be moved by Lu Ke's actions.
Su Qi Ruo stared blankly at the milk tea as it steamed and rose, lost in thought. Her life was like a bowl of plain rice, with no difference whether it was cooked dry, made into porridge or left raw. Why was her life so monotonous? Perhaps it was because she was cautious as a descendant of a noble bloodline, or maybe she just liked being a homebody and indulging in her own world. Whatever the reason, she couldn't escape her mundane days.
The appearance of Lu Ke was unexpected, but looking back now, the result wasn't too bad. At least there was someone to take care of her, even if Lu Ke didn't seem very willing. Yet he still did it, and did it with great care, making it hard for her to refuse.
Su Qi Ruo held the milk tea in both hands, feeling its warmth, just like Lu Ke's thoughtfulness. Maybe deep down, she had always yearned for someone like that by her side.
"Right, Su Qi Ruo glanced at her watch and wondered why Lu Ke hadn't shown up today. If it were any other day, he would have already planned where to go for lunch, but there was no text message from him either. Where did he go? Su Qi Ruo took out her phone, thinking of sending a text message to ask Lu Ke, but soon put it down in frustration. Why should she ask him anyway? Clearly, the two of them weren't strangers, so why ask where he was? Besides, hadn't she always wanted to get rid of him?"
It's lunchtime, I'll go to the cafeteria by myself today, maybe I can run into him. Oh God! If Su Qi really wanted to slap herself, why did she always think of him? Su Qi walked out of the teaching building in a distracted manner, aimlessly scanning her surroundings, trying to shift her attention.
"Huh?" Su Qi Ruo suddenly spotted Lu Ke's figure half a kilometer away. What was that kid doing not looking for me? Su Qi Ruo stood still and observed quietly until Lu Ke changed his angle, then she discovered there was another person beside him, a girl...
Why is there a girl beside him? When did they start dating, it looks so ambiguous, what are they talking about for so long? Who is that girl? Su Qiruo's mind suddenly popped up with a bunch of questions, making her frown deeper. Just then, Lu Ke seemed to have noticed Su Qiruo and said a few words to the girl before walking towards Su Qiruo.
Su Qi suddenly turned around and quickly walked in another direction. She didn't want to see Lu Ke, no reason, she just didn't want to see Lu Ke.
"Hey!" Just as Su Qi Ruo was having a complicated lunch, Lu Ke suddenly appeared in front of her and asked, "Why are you avoiding me?"
"No." Su Qi Ruo lowered her head and didn't look at Lu Ke.
"None?" Lu Ke snatched the chopsticks from Su Qi Ruo. "If there's nothing, why do you turn around and leave as soon as you see me coming? Why do you come to this cafeteria where you never show up? Why don't you dare look at me now?"
"What's it to you!" Su Qi, feeling embarrassed by Lu Ke's string of questions, raised her head with a hint of defiance, "What business is it of yours what I do?"
Lu Ke couldn't help but curl up the corners of his mouth, "Can I take it that you're jealous of me because you saw me chatting with other girls?"
"Nonsense!" Su Qi almost overturned the table.
Lu Ke also ignored Su Qi Ruo's anger, gently holding her hand with a hint of complacency, "Let's go, I'll take you to eat something delicious."
"Hey! Hey! What are you doing? Let go!"
Lu Ke didn't care about Su Qiruo's struggles at all, instead he pulled her into his arms and held her horizontally, "You! You! You... what do you want to do!"
Su Qi Ruo's face was as red as a cooked shrimp, she stiffly allowed Lu Ke to hold her, at this moment this posture was neither struggling nor not struggling, until now she finally realized that this boy who was six years younger than herself was actually very masculine, at least in terms of physique.
"I really don't know how you spent the six years that I didn't live. Has your brain rotted from being with humans for too long?" Lu Ke sneered, unable to describe Su Qi's childish behavior.
"Put me down, put me down." Su Qi Ruo was so humiliated that she wished she could find a crack in the ground to hide in. It was lunchtime now, and people were coming and going at the entrance of the cafeteria. What if someone she knew saw her? She wanted to die! She wanted to die! Don't see me, don't see me... Su Qi Ruo numbly hid into Lu Ke's arms while subconsciously trying to escape reality.
Lu Ke obviously felt Su Qi Ruo's movements, but remained silent, allowing Su Qi Ruo to snuggle into his arms like a small cat seeking warmth. Lu Ke completely ignored the gazes of others and calmly asked, "What do you want to eat?"
"I want to die!" Su Qi said through gritted teeth.
Lu Ke couldn't help but smile at the corner of his mouth, and he carried Su Qi Ru for another distance before stopping on the lawn when he was sure there was no one around. He put Su Qi Ru down and said, "You should lose weight."
"Get out!" Su Qi shouted furiously and turned around, disappearing from sight. She didn't have the mood to bother with Lu Ke's comment about her being fat.
Lu Ke stood still, gazing at the background as if Su Qi had fled in disarray. His eyes were extremely complex, thinking that to make a woman obedient, he just needed to make her fall in love with him. It seemed he had already succeeded halfway, although this old woman was a bit unsightly and not very clever, but she was after all a member of the orthodox divine clan, and solely based on this point, she far surpassed other women. Calculating it, Lu Ke wasn't extremely disadvantaged either. Thinking to this point, Lu Ke raised a ruthless smile, then slowly walked towards the self-study room. This girl would probably disappear for a while, in order not to affect her graduate studies, he should send the study materials to her dormitory.
"You cheap woman!" A fierce aura burst out from a lovely and cute girl without any concealment, making her originally lovely and pretty appearance suddenly become ferocious. "Sir, I won't let this cheap woman disturb you." After saying that, the girl disappeared abruptly on the spot.
