  Who's knocking at the door?

  Xiang Jie was startled by a knock on the door while she was seriously memorizing song lyrics, you know she dislikes being disturbed when doing things.

  "Who is it?"

  "It's me." My mom's voice came from outside the door.

  "Mom, is anything wrong?" Shan Ge said as he opened the door.

  Mom said: "Nothing, I just came to see what you're doing. Have you reviewed your lessons properly? The college entrance exam is coming up and you need to be serious about it. If you don't study hard and can't get into university, don't blame me for not letting you read books. If there's anything you don't understand, ask your brother, take advantage of him being at home now, or else once he goes back to school you won't be able to ask him, got it?"

  "Alright, I know. Look, I'm reviewing again, aren't I?" She said, and then quickly picked up the physics book that was thrown on the table and handed it to her mom as evidence.

  "Ah, that's good. If you get hungry while reading later, come down and have something to eat. There are still some bread in the fridge. Do you want water? I'll pour some for you if you do."

  "I'm not hungry or thirsty now, mom, don't worry, go watch TV with brother!"

  "Well, I'm leaving now. Remember not to slack off, anyway it's still the same thing, whether or not you want to continue reading depends on your final performance now." After saying that, she gently closed the door and left.

  Ugh, I'm so annoyed! The alarm clock rang early again. I guess I'll just have to behave and read books tonight instead of thinking about memorizing song lyrics. Otherwise, I really won't have any books left to read. Anyway, I've already looked at the lyrics a few times and basically memorized them, it's just that I haven't sung in years so I forgot some parts.
