Chapter 5: Finally Became a Little Thief (2)
In a daze, I seemed to have fallen asleep, but I distinctly felt someone sighing: "Ah, it's really annoying to encounter unpleasant things, isn't it?"
How come this voice sounds so familiar?!
I involuntarily sat up, and it was unexpectedly Little Witch Yue Qingfeng. He was sitting on the windowsill of our dormitory, still wearing black clothes, with a wide-brimmed black hat on his head, smiling at me.
"Is it you?" I hastily got up from bed and walked to the window, "How did you come here?"
"My smartwatch rang," he said, "I knew you were in trouble."
I looked down and said: "How did you get up here?"
"Fly away." He said with a wave of his hands, "You've forgotten that I used to take you flying too."
I nodded and pinched myself hard, trying to figure out if this was a dream or not.
His hand drew an arc in the air, like a pale blue sparkler.
"A little sleeping draught," he said, "it wouldn't be good to wake your classmates."
"But this isn't a game." I still didn't quite get it, "How can you also fly?"
"Come." He held out his hand and said, "I'll take you to see what people are doing in the dark of night."
This time I hesitated and put my hands behind my back.
He smiled and said: "What are you afraid of? You know, when I encounter bad luck, I like to fly. One flight, and everything is thrown behind my head."
"Are you eating chicken wings?" I asked him.
"No," he said, "I'll fly, don't worry, my flying skills are top-notch at Elandar Castle."
Forget it!
I finally reached out my hand, and he took it.
His palm was so warm. A surge of strength spread throughout my body in an instant, making me suddenly feel weightless. Then, I floated up and flew out the window with him. I let out a low soft cry, and he said the same thing: "Stretch out your arms, relax."
At first, our flight speed was very slow, about the same as running. After sliding around the circular track of the school playground, I slowly got into the state and asked him: "Can it be higher?"
"Of course." He took me slowly upwards, and we flew over the top of the teaching building, over the small garden and woods in the campus. The night campus was filled with an indescribable fragrance. Just as we were flying over the cafeteria, I saw someone moving things out of the cafeteria. It seemed to be the two security guards from school. Things were being moved bag by bag into a small truck outside the campus. The guard waved at the driver, and the car drove away.
"Go!" said Yue Qingfeng, "We have to catch up and see where this car is going!"
As soon as he finished speaking, an even greater power surged from his hand and we began to soar, flying higher and higher. My hair and his cloak fluttered high in the air, and I couldn't help but let out a thrilled shriek. Yue Qingfeng said: "Hehe, keep your voice down, it's troublesome if people see us in the sky."
I had to purse my lips and follow that car all the way to a small courtyard in the suburbs. The car stopped, and we also landed on the roof of the neighboring house. Yue Qingfeng said to me: "Remember, this is Dao Bei Street No. 128. Your school's security guards are corrupt and steal from themselves. All the grain and oil from the cafeteria have been transported here."
It turned out to be a good deed done by the security guard!
Yue Qingfeng let go of my hand. We sat shoulder to shoulder on the rooftop. I felt a bit cold, so he took off his cloak and put it on me. I was warm to the point of being speechless, so I asked him: "Little wizard, are you real or fake?"
"I don't know either," he said.
"You really look like Da P," I said. "But he's very annoying. You're not annoying."
"What does 'not dislike' mean?" He smiled.
"It's just cute," I said.
"See that star? " Yue Qingfeng laughed and suddenly pointed to a star in the sky, asking me, "Want to go touch it?"
I nodded.
He grasped my hand again and took me soaring into the sky. We rose higher and higher like rockets shooting off. The stars grew bigger and brighter, and the wind whistling past my ears grew louder. Just as I was overjoyed, a powerful gust of air swept me in, its force too great, causing my hand to involuntarily release from Yue Qingfeng's, his cape also falling off my body. I plummeted downwards, unable to control myself, and then I woke up, with sweat all over my palms and forehead.
The girl on the upper berth was holding a towel to wipe me, and she said sympathetically: "Ding Wei, you're sick, talking nonsense all night. We'll take you to the hospital right away."
Was everything last night just a dream?
What a pity, half of it is not a dream.
