Chapter 6: "Ding Xixi" killed herself in front of me (2)

  The wind blew stronger and the surroundings became colder. The wizard robe designed by my aunt apparently couldn't withstand such low temperatures. I cursed Big P while hugging my arms, mustering up courage to continue walking into the city, hoping to meet one or two people to talk to. Or find a clothing store, I thought the money on me was enough to buy a down jacket.

  However, in front of me were only ruins, the charred wood emitted a strange smell, and the surroundings were eerily quiet. There was only my own hesitant footsteps echoing slowly.

  I suddenly had a bad premonition, and my heart began to beat wildly. The sensor watch on my wrist hadn't received any signals. I quickly froze, my lips turning purple and my face pale. My footsteps were getting heavier with each step, just as I was about to collapse, a figure suddenly descended from the sky, calling out my name: "Ding Xixi!"

  "Yu Qīng Fēng!" I exclaimed in surprise.

  He always appears by my side when I need him most.

  "Come with me." he said in a low voice.

  His speed was incredibly fast, I spent half a day's effort just to keep up with him: "Can you slow down? I'm exhausted!"

  He turned around and blamed me, saying: "Why don't you use your wings? What's the point of having tools on your body if you're not going to use them? Don't you know how dangerous it is here? If you're not careful, you'll die!"

  "Die?" I chuckled and said, "It's just a game, can't you just come back after dying? It's such a simple thing, why are you being so serious?"

  "If you're not serious, you'll die. Don't believe me? Look!" I looked in the direction he was pointing, and all I saw was a large expanse of white light rushing towards us. I didn't know what it was until they got closer, and to my surprise, it was a huge group of white ghost-like things! They let out terrifying screeching sounds, and were about to charge right in front of us.

  "Come here and stand behind me!" he ordered me.

  Then he began to chant magic, a golden light circle perfectly surrounded us two, the white ghost was blocked outside in time, and it couldn't rush in no matter how hard it tried. When Yue Qingfeng finished chanting, lightning flashed and thunder rumbled. The earth seemed to be trembling too. After everything subsided, only pieces of torn white cloth were left on the ground.

  "What is this?" I asked him with a lingering fear.

  "Something that can cost you your life," Yueshan said. "You haven't even learned magic yet, but you've already learned how to sneak around, so you must accept the punishment you deserve."

  "Smuggling?" I didn't understand.

  Yue Qingfeng's expression was serious and cold, completely different from his usual self. He explained to me: "Don't think we don't know, this time you came in through abnormal means.   After he finished speaking, he handed me a piece of paper.

  "Come on," I said. "First, I can't stay here for three days, I still have to go back to school for class. Second, I don't even know where to get these disgusting things."

  "If you can't do it, you'll die," said Yue Qingfeng. "I advise you not to try."
