Chapter Ninety-Five

  Chapter Ninety-Five

"That's where you'll be staying, Xiaofei." Yechen Yi opened the door to a room, stepping aside so I could see the whole space. It was just as big as the rooms in Yiyuan's house, but decorated differently, with fewer pieces of furniture making it seem quite empty.

The moonlight outside shines in faintly, bright enough that we even forget to turn on the lights.

Ye Chenyi pushed me in with one hand and reached for the switch with the other. I bit my lip, rushing to block the light switch before him. On tiptoes, as if afraid of losing courage, I quickly kissed Ye Chenyi's cheek, my face red as I whispered "goodnight".

After finishing speaking, he hastily tried to push him out.

A soft chuckle sounded above my head, and I opened my eyes in surprise to look up at him, only to be met with a pool of tender and affectionate eyes. His grayish-black pupils were really beautiful.

Ye Chenyi leaned in close to my ear and whispered, "Goodnight." His lips lightly brushed against my cheek, and then he flashed a smile as he left the room, closing the door behind him. The moonlight still shone into the room, illuminating the slightly dim space, and I blankly raised my right hand to touch my cheek - it was burning!

This is really true, it's not a dream.

The more I think about it, the faster my face turns red, and in the end, I have to bury my whole face in the quilt. Hmm, this is so embarrassing... Indeed, I'm being too weird today.

  ……

"Knock knock..." In a dream, I vaguely heard the sound of knocking on the door. I murmured and turned over, ignoring it.

"Knock knock..." Seriously, who is so lacking in manners? Others are sleeping comfortably, why come disturb them? I'll just turn over and cover my head with the blanket. I didn't hear anything...

"Xiao Fei, get up." The helpless voice finally came from outside the door. I felt dizzy and my head was spinning - "Ah, coming!" While rubbing my head, I hastily put on my school uniform and got up to open the door.

"Sorry, Ye Chenyi." I said apologetically.

"Xiao Fei, that's wrong, it's 'Chen Yi'," Ye Chenyi waved his hand, scolding. I stuck out my tongue and turned to look at the watch, time was really running out.

"Xiao Fei, your buttons are done up wrong." He said, while using his hand to help me re-button them. I stared blankly at his actions, then looked up and smiled brightly: "Thanks, Chen Yi!" Hmm, unexpectedly, Ye Fenghua not only drives, but also has multiple roles, such as... a chef.

Alright, I admit his craftsmanship is good, but why does breakfast have to be fried eggs?! I scrunched up my bitter melon face and stared at the plate of tender-looking yet extremely smelly eggs.

I hung my head and ate bread, ignoring the fried eggs and milk in front of me, pitifully drinking plain boiled water.

Suddenly, a hand appeared in my line of sight, a slender and white exceptionally beautiful hand. Most importantly, that hand was holding a cup of red tea! Then after a while, a plate of cake also appeared on that hand, and gently landed in front of me. The annoying fried eggs and milk were all replaced!

I gazed at Ye Chenyi with a pair of shining starry eyes that weren't very big, and I was so moved that I almost pounced on him and kissed him fiercely several times!

He smiled indifferently and whispered to Ye Fenghua, "Xiaofi doesn't eat eggs or drink milk." The guy nodded, raised an eyebrow at me with a ambiguous expression, I hummed and turned my head away, although my cheeks had already flushed red with happiness.

"Clang." The sound of the glass cup touching the table, my eyes dimmed slightly, and I looked up to see Xiaoshi closing her eyes elegantly licking the corner of her mouth. She stood up with a faint smile and said, "I'll leave first." Ye Fenghua quickly followed suit, shouting, "Don't you need me to send you off?" Xiaoshi shook her head, turned around, picked up her backpack, and walked out the door.

I didn't say anything and just continued eating quietly as if nothing had happened.

When the last piece of bread was swallowed by me, I drank all the milk tea and finished eating the cake. I flashed a bright smile at Ye Chen: "I'm full." The person gently wiped the corner of his mouth, then stood up to collect the dishes into the kitchen. I looked at Ye Fenghua, he still had that familiar neighborly brother's appearance and smile, but his gaze towards the door was subtly tinged with worry.

He shrugged and saw Ye Chenyi come out, then picked up his backpack and said, "Let's go, or we'll be late."

Ye Fenghua suddenly came back to himself, paused for a few seconds, and then walked towards the door.
