Chapter 31: Filtering

  Chapter Thirty-One: Filtering

Not wanting to see their friendly faces again, Haijun finished his meal and chose a distant spot to sit with his back to them, only then did he feel slightly better.

The army is focusing on cultivating the feelings of comrades-in-arms with Li, and has not noticed the navy that flashed by at the door, with a smile on his face all the time.

"Haha, Li Li, thank you so much this afternoon! If it weren't for you, I would have definitely ended up in the hospital today." Lu Jun thought about it and felt a bit overwhelmed.

Li Li scratched his short hair and smiled foolishly: "I don't have anything, but how did you, a girl, end up on the boys' side?"

"It's hard to say, so I won't tell you. How did you end up becoming a soldier?" Lu Jun asked curiously.

"I wasn't capable of getting into college, so my family sent me here to join the army." Li Li's honest response.

"When a man becomes a soldier, he will have a bright future." The army said sincerely. Although she never wanted to be a soldier, she really thought being a soldier was a good path for anyone, but except for her, what she wanted most in this life was to hold her own brush and paint the life she expected.

"I think so too." Li Li's silly face revealed a goofy grin.

As they ate and chatted, time quickly passed, and the two parted ways. Lu Jun dragged her tired body back to her home, with over an hour of rest before training. She wanted to go home and lie down for a bit. If it weren't for the fact that the military was all men, she would have liked to stay on the training grounds and sleep, as the air was fresh and the weather was good, making it very comfortable. But that was just her beautiful dream, otherwise, why would she be miserably climbing the stairs now?

The navy was following her, watching her struggle up the stairs, "the intensity of training is too small, and she can still climb the stairs."

Lu Jun Guang recognized the voice and said without turning his head: "It's okay, I won't die now."

"Of course I won't die, with the care of my comrades!" The naval officer said pickily, although he was far away from them at noon today, it did not affect his anger at all.

"Boring." After saying that, Lu Jun quickened his pace and rapidly climbed upwards. However, he couldn't shake off the feeling that Hei Mian Gui's words had a hint of sourness to them. Could it be that he had taken a liking to himself? The thought sent shivers down his spine as he hastily dismissed it. Hadn't he been flirting with someone else just that morning? It was impossible for him to be the one, right? So, could it be that Hei Mian Gui's displeasure stemmed from his other half having taken a liking to himself? The thought made Lu Jun tremble even more. She wouldn't be that unfortunate, would she?! But then again, if that were truly the case, wouldn't Hai Jun be even more unfortunate? The woman he had set his sights on was actually a lesbian; it served him right for being wicked all the time and reaping what he sowed! With this thought, Lu Jun's heart felt a little more at ease.

Having said this, the navy's resentment was released even more fiercely, but they didn't say anything unpleasant again.

The army returned to the house and was about to return to his bedroom when he remembered something, "Battalion commander, when are you leaving?"

"Am I disturbing you?" The navy thought the army was driving him away and had a bad tone.

"No, I still have an hour of break time, but there is no alarm clock here. I'm afraid I'll be late. If you're not in a hurry, can you wake me up when it's time?"

The army's tone was sincere, and the navy wanted to vent its grievances but felt reluctant, "Got it, I'll call you in an hour."

Having received a definite answer, the army was overjoyed and returned a grateful sweet smile to the navy, "Captain, thank you." Then turned around and went back to his room, fell on the bed and fell asleep.

The navy was still reminiscing about the smile it had just seen, although it didn't feel at ease with others, but it still felt very precious, and even the original resentment was swept away, and in its heart, it was also wondering what kind of magic could make itself like this.

An hour's time quickly ran by, and the navy leaned on the sofa. When it was time, he automatically opened his eyes, looked at the still unopened door, and smiled self-deprecatingly. He really listened to orders.

Time's up, the Navy no longer hesitated and came to the door, raised his hand and knocked on it. "Army, time's up, you should get up."

But after knocking for a few minutes, there was still no response in the house, so he pushed open the door and saw the little woman lying on the bed without even covering herself with a quilt. The navy felt a pang of heartache and wondered if he should let this woman continue to participate in training. Those white and slender hands entered his line of sight, and he thought that if those hands continued to be exposed to wind and sun, would they still maintain their characteristics? Was he really willing to accept such a result? His mind was constantly filtering through his thoughts!
