Chapter 104: The Polite Boy (104)

  Chapter 104: The Polite Boy

At this thought, Lan Ya had a moment of trembling.

"Mu Chen, I'm telling you, your life is mine. As long as you're by my side, you have to take good care of yourself and then protect me." Lan Ya glared at Mu Chen, her heart aching with worry, not knowing how much she liked him, liking him so much that she couldn't do without him?

Mochen, do you know or not, I don't care if we have a relationship or not, whether we are lovers or not. Even if you're just playing with me, you'd better play well, absolutely can't suddenly withdraw and leave me unable to bear it.

Lan Ya's eyes were a bit red, which made Mu Chen suddenly at a loss for what to do.

"Lanlan, what's wrong?" Mochen pulled over to the side of the road, undid his seatbelt, and leaned forward, looking at the stubborn Lan Ya.

"Promise me, everything will be alright forever." Lan Ya suddenly hugged Mu Chen, indulging in his warmth.

She didn't dare let Mu Chen know that she already knew about his departure, nor did she dare let him see her current expression.

"Do you know something?" Mu Chen heard Lan Ya's words and his whole body stiffened. Had the thing he was most worried about happened?

"What's going on?" Lan Ya let go of Mu Chen, her face filled with confusion and perplexity.

Seeing her expression, Mu Chen let out a sigh of relief. Lan Ya didn't seem to be acting, she probably didn't know. Besides, there was no reason for Lan Ya to know about this matter, unless Gu Ruo told her. But from morning till now, he and Lan Ya had been inseparable, if Lan Ya knew, Mu Chen would have known too, unless...

Did Lan Ya hear it when he and Gu Rou were talking in the morning?

Mo Chen's heart skipped a beat as he thought of this - did Lan Ya know about his trip to Australia?

Lan Ya woke up in the morning when he was talking to Gu Ruo, with a sleepy look on his face, and it didn't seem like he had heard anything.

Mu Chen was perplexed and furrowed his brow in deep thought on the driver's seat.

Lan Ya supported her cheek with her hand and looked at Mu Chen, her lips slightly curled up, a look of appreciation on her face.

"Are you going or not?" Lan Ya stretched her waist and looked at Mu Chen with a lazy expression.

This mood swing is too fast, Mu Chen found it a bit strange about Lan Ya.

It's better that Lan Ya doesn't know, Mu Chen secretly sighed, if Lan Ya knew and still acted so normally, it would be too terrifying.

A faint sorrow flashed in the depths of her eyes, but it was gone in an instant.

How could Mu Chen have guessed that she knew everything? She acted so normally, who can't act? From a young age, she was good at it, and the most formidable thing about her was acting.

It's just that such acting skills are too powerful and escaped Mu Chen's eyes.

Perhaps Mu Chen was too confident, or perhaps Lan Ya's acting skills were too good. Anyway, Mu Chen didn't think that Lan Ya knew about his plan to leave.

"Let's go, they must be waiting for us." Mu Chen relaxed and fastened his seatbelt before driving the car forward.

When they arrived at their destination, they were all half an hour late.

A large truck stopped beside Mochen, the goods in the truck were all food and clothing, several people got off and distributed the things to poor households.

Lan Ya let Mu Chen carry a dozen lunch boxes and distribute them one by one.

"You're really a good person, giving us food for the New Year." An old man sat in the corner of a dilapidated corridor, covered with a blue quilt sent by his father before the New Year, biting on the steamed bun that had just been given to him, his eyes filled with tears as he thanked them repeatedly.

Next to the old man sat a young boy, about seven or eight years old, with a pale complexion and a sickly frailty.

Mu Chen pursed her lips and handed him the lunchbox she was holding.

"Thank you..." The boy politely thanked him and opened the lunch box, but instead of eating himself, he picked up a spoon and fed the old man first.

The old man didn't eat and instead let the little boy eat.

PS: Since someone asked me for a book recommendation, I didn't know what to recommend, so I'll just recommend another one of my own. Book title: "Phoenix Overturned the World: The Arrogant Adopted Daughter Wants to Defy Heaven"

Also written by Mo Mo, but it's an ancient article, like it if you want, don't spray if you don't.

  Good night then.
