Inspired after reading on 20th of water

"Companions on a Journey (Book Review Collection) - Thoughts After Reading BY 20th Water"

Thank you for writing such a good book.

Today is the day I return to TIEba. The first thought after coming back is to see if there are any new books.

The result turned out to be the author's book.

I used to have a period of doubt, wondering if all starting points were just careless and unreasonable fast food literature. But recently, I've come to realize that's not the case. The writers on Starting Point are divided into different types catering to different reader groups. Newcomers to Starting Point might go for those YY (fantasy) novels that are so outrageous they're nauseating, with millions of words of fast food literature. However, those who have been on Starting Point for a while will tend towards works that are more refined and carefully written. Xiao Mo should be the latter, right? From the poems in this book, to the characters, to the thick nostalgia of the traverser... it's all evident that the author has put in effort.

After reading the author's book, I feel it is well-written and has a lot of flavor.

Although there is no monthly ticket or anything, I hope to write down my feelings after reading it. Hope it can be helpful to you.

At the beginning, I won't mention that novelty anymore. Afterward,

  Protagonist

In the past, he was a spoiled rich kid, but was he really that kind of spoiled rich kid? From the author's writing, it doesn't seem like that. Qin Mo is someone with ideals and ambitions, with great talent, but also someone who sees through things too much. Saying he's the only sober one in a world of drunkards might be an exaggeration, but saying he's too clear-headed to the point of self-destruction is true. He knows very well that he won't be accepted by the society he lives in, so he uses his wealth and status to indulge in music and dance, getting lost in the midst of beauties. Forgetting his own ambitions. "Having wine is enough" - when he says this, isn't there blood dripping in his heart? Such a person, for their art to be passed down through the ages, it's absolutely not just luck. If I had to compare him to someone, maybe that crazy man from Chu would be similar? Honestly speaking, he doesn't fit in with ancient times, but only such a person can survive if they were transported to modern times. Because they're originally unattached and cold-hearted, this kind of "bizarre" experience wouldn't have as much impact on them. I hope that in the future, (he) she will be able to have a happy life.

The protagonist's family is a warm and normal home. The author didn't exaggerate how loving the family members were, every family has its own difficulties. When "Second Sister" went crazy, the family members' reactions were realistic. The younger brother's fearful expression when he was close to his "crazy" sister was also vividly portrayed. But can we say that this family is cold-blooded just because of this? No, from the later text, it clearly shows that the family's affection for each other is very deep. The parents care about their children, not just giving them living expenses and expecting them to be grateful in return, but also communicating with them frequently. They also face various difficulties in life. The relationship between the three siblings has always been good. The younger brother isn't a puppet who only accepts things silently, when he can't bear it, he will say "no". This feels like a real family, maybe they have their ups and downs, but it's warm and harmonious enough.

The protagonist met someone who seems like an iceberg now, but is actually just a certain "three child" who can't express himself. I estimate that he has practiced some small skills, but now it's basically possible to see at a glance that this kid has a crush on the protagonist. Hehe. However, it's very sad that the protagonist still hasn't reacted to this kid having that kind of intention... (The protagonist still subjectively thinks of himself as a man) I'll sweat for his future first. As for three child always avoiding the "soulmate" in his family, maybe it's just because he has someone in his heart and doesn't want to meet him? When these two kids meet, I estimate their expressions will be very colorful. Three child's family has a collection of the protagonist's old calligraphy and paintings, which is also a potential stock.

Among the roommates, that little princess should be a good person, but she's too spoiled. The only thing to be grateful for is that she hasn't been corrupted. Worth celebrating. And that ice queen thinks that San Er's coldness is different from hers. San Er's might be "proud loneliness", while this person's coldness is probably due to having experienced the harsh realities of life (or at least, that's how it seems to her), a sad and heartless numbness. I guess there's a tragic past behind her. But hopefully meeting the protagonist can give her a slightly better future.

After reading, I feel that the most impressive characters in this book are the protagonist, followed by his sister, brother, parents, then San Er, next is Iceberg MM, followed by the little princess roommate, and finally others. (In order of priority)

I think the author's portrayal of characters is very vivid and three-dimensional, not just a vase, and has put in a lot of effort. The above are my thoughts after reading it once. It doesn't rise to the level of a book review, but rather as a reader, I wrote down my thoughts after finishing reading it, hoping it can be helpful to you.

  Add oil.
