The Strongest Path 12: Training in the Cave (1)
As soon as they entered the stone chamber, the stone gate behind them seemed to come alive and slammed shut with a loud "boom".
The ground was paved with square green stones, and on both sides of the winding stone wall that seemed to have no end, every meter or so, a night pearl about the size of an infant's fist was inlaid. The dimly bright night pearls illuminated the passageway with a soft and mysterious light.
She couldn't help but stare at the endless night pearls that seemed to have no end.
She regained her composure and carefully sized up the stone room, which seemed simple but was actually filled with a hidden murderous aura. She tentatively took a small step forward, and the surrounding stone walls suddenly trembled slightly. Countless small black holes appeared on the walls in an instant. Long arrows as thick as fingers shot out of the stone walls like a violent rainstorm, flying quickly towards the opposite stone wall.
She quickly withdrew her footsteps and leaned tightly against the stone gate behind her. "Fortunately, I tried it out, otherwise I would have really become a hedgehog." She let out a light breath and patted her chest.
She carefully studied the arrows that were still flying in front of her. Suddenly, her eyes lit up with surprise and delight as she discovered that although the arrows were shooting out randomly, they weren't continuous. It seemed like each time there was a direction that would pause for a few seconds before another arrow shot out.
She gazed intently at each pause, a hint of clarity flashing in her dark, shiny eyes, and a confident smile looked forward. This arrow array was actually composed according to the arrangement of the Big Dipper, and it would change its position every minute or so.
When the direction turned under her feet, she calmly stepped forward, following the direction of its rotation, and rushed forward like lightning.
She smoothly passed through the arrow array, and in front of her was still the deep and mysterious bluestone corridor. What kind of challenge would be waiting for her at the next level? A hint of expectation flashed in her dark and shiny eyes, she took steady steps, carefully moving forward.
At the end of the corridor was still a stone gate, she found the protruding piece in the middle of the stone gate's pattern as before and pressed the switch to open the stone gate.
The stone gate slowly rose, and a wave of scorching heat rushed forward. Inside was a world of red fire, with flames dancing in the air, as red as fire, so red that it almost robbed all the heat from the sky and earth.
A piece of red, thick and dense like water, but the temperature is fire, a kind of fierce fire that can't be compared to the temperature and high heat.
She walked in, only to see two rocky cliffs below, bubbling with bubbles, rising and falling, as if they could erupt at any moment. Good heavens! It was actually magma, her eyes widened suddenly, there was volcanic magma here.
An indescribable scorching sensation rose up, and in an instant, she only felt that her hair was emitting a burning smell, as if the whole person was about to be burned. She had to leave quickly, or else she would be roasted dry.
But there was no road between the two stone cliffs. How could she get past? Searching around for a way to cross, thinking carefully, the previous two passes had used formations, I wonder if this pass also has a mechanism that can be used?
She carefully scrutinized every detail, not missing a single thread or clue. The temperature here was getting higher and higher, scorching hot to the point of being able to roast people alive, her lips were already dry and cracked, she moistened them slightly.
A stone shaped like a gourd above her head caught her attention. Her eyes lit up instantly, and she had an idea.
She quickly pulled out the rope from her luggage, deftly looped it into a noose, and gently swung it a few times before throwing it towards the stone. "Snap!" The rope accurately encircled the stone. She forcefully tightened the rope downwards, pulling hard with both hands.
She found the rope tightly wrapped around the stone, and she smiled in satisfaction. "Not bad! It's tied quite firmly." With both hands grasping the rope tightly, she tried to use the rope's strength to swing over to the other side. Just as she was about to successfully reach the opposite side, the rope suddenly emitted a "crack... crack..." sound of rupture due to excessive heat.
She heard the sound of the rope breaking and quickly made a judgment. At the same time as the rope broke, her hands quickly let go of the rope and jumped towards the opposite rock wall.
She precariously lay on the edge of the cliff, with half her body still hanging off the edge. The scorching temperature of the cliff wall was burning her hands that were tightly grasping it. Her face pale, she gritted her teeth and struggled to climb up.
The fiery red magma was churning up and down. Gurgling sounds echoed through the silent space, like boiling water. The heat was getting more and more intense, the temperature rising higher and higher. The red magma seemed to have a life of its own, inching its way upwards, surging towards the top, and she, suspended on the edge of the cliff, her beautiful black hair seemingly completely disheveled.
Although her hands and body were burning with pain, she kept climbing upwards with a firm gaze. She didn't dare to be distracted for even a moment, as the molten lava below would leave no remains if she fell.
Finally, after her persistent efforts, she climbed up the rocky cliff. Looking ahead, the stone corridor still stretched out endlessly. She struggled to get up and was about to move forward when the molten lava behind her, which had been bubbling and churning continuously, suddenly burst forth with a loud "Boom!" The temperature soared abruptly.
She turned her head back in shock, her face instantly turning pale. All she saw was the lava erupting upwards. Oh my god! The magma was alive and it just so happened to be a volcanic eruption. She didn't have time to think carefully, quickly dashing forward.
Magma burst out instantly, fiery red shocking the heavens and earth. The dense magma was like a river, rolling and surging upwards. Leaping high from the depths of the earth, its vibrant color, incomparable high temperature, rushing and whistling, shooting out in all directions.
Her wounds were slowly healing, and her strength was gradually recovering. She exerted all her might, darting back and forth along the continuous corridors like lightning.
The magma behind her was like a mad red dragon roaring and chasing after her.
The stone door appeared before her eyes, she flew up and pressed the switch on the stone door. The stone door slowly rose, five centimeters... ten centimeters... damn it, hurry! Hurry! She anxiously stared at the stone door, her hands tightly clenched into fists.
The rumbling sound behind her grew louder, she furrowed her brow and clenched her silver teeth. She didn't dare to look back, quickly flipping over and rolling into the stone gate that was only about 20 centimeters open.
