Yin Yang Rogue
What I'm referring to as "yin gong fa" is generally for offering to ghosts, not gods. The method and procedure of yin gong have their own rules. First, you need four types of meat: chicken, duck, fish, and pork, which should be cooked first.
After cooking, prepare yellow paper, which is the yellow paper burned during the Ghost Festival, as well as yellow incense. It's the kind of yellow tribute incense that we usually burn when visiting temples. Use the finer type.
The steps are to ignite yellow paper, which is also called Yin fire. Use the Yin fire to burn four kinds of cooked meat: chicken, duck, fish, and pork until they turn black, then arrange them in order. Next, fill a bowl with rice, but not too full, about half a bowl is fine. Place three sticks of yellow incense on top horizontally. Then light the incense. This is the Yin Gong method.
I explained the detailed process, and Lin Bin's eyes changed as he looked at me, nodding repeatedly to show that I was knowledgeable. Lin Bin had done it this way before, but this Xiangpiao Alley had been around for many years, and the narrow roads inside made it easy for things to get kicked over. Many neighbors reflected that this wouldn't work, and most old Beijingers believed in this too, thinking it was unlucky.
Lin Bin had no choice but to put the coffin at Babaoshan, and went there once a day. However, this couldn't go on like this forever, living an uneasy life, yet there was no other way out.
That's what happened last month, it was a mess for the whole family. As he spoke, Lin Bin let out another sigh.
"Crazy guy asked: 'That's right, love can't be worth a life! Three pulses beating, it's actually been done to sixty, who can bear it? Then you didn't find someone who knows how to look at things and take a look?"
Lin Bin's wife chimed in, "How can we not look? One month's earnings are spent on the dead. The living wouldn't even dare to eat like that."
After finishing speaking, Lin Bin gave a dissatisfied glance. I couldn't help but secretly sigh that this woman was indeed not someone to be trifled with, and had even gone so far as to affect those few children.
"I've seen it, but it's useless. Two masters have come before, the previous one was a master of the universe who claimed to be a descendant of Jiang Ziya, but after walking around in circles, there's still no solution, the old man will continue to cause trouble." Lin Bin said helplessly.
I was originally drinking the water that Lin's wife had just handed over, and after hearing this sentence, I almost choked to death. Qiankun Master? Has this old scoundrel been here before?
I turned around and saw the madman staring at me with a weird expression. I coughed twice and said, "Lin Ge, do you know why I came over?"
Lin Bin didn't expect me to suddenly change the subject and replied in a daze: "Isn't it because of your friend's matter, come over to help?"
I nodded and continued: "There's another reason, actually I'm from the Qiankun Daoist Temple. The master had already seen some clues at that time, but due to your family's unusual situation, it wasn't a ordinary case of unfinished business after death. And he had other things to attend to at that time, so he could only put it off. That's why I came over late to take a look."
When I said that, Lin Bin's attitude was a bit excited, and he directly praised Qiankun Master as a good person, responsible. In this era, it is rare to see such things not cheating money, where is the after-sales service?
I'm also helpless, I'm doing this for the sake of the Qiankun Daoist Temple, after all, I'm working here now. When Lao Shenggui was in a difficult situation, he gave me a bowl of rice, and my master said that one should repay kindness.
Moreover, with the good reputation of Qiankun Daoist Temple and its thriving business, I can also help more people.
Lin's wife suddenly spoke up beside him: "So, did you notice anything?"
The madman winked at me, and I said to Lin Bin and his wife: "I'll study with my friend alone for a while, can we go to the old man's room next door?"
"Then can I and my wife go out?"
It's clear that after I mentioned the method of setting up a Yin sacrifice, Lin Bin obviously trusted me even more. I hastily said it wasn't necessary and pulled Crazy along as we left the bedroom and entered the living room.
The madman muttered to himself: "I think according to what they said, it seems like there's some evil spirit stealing the old man's offerings, but... that can't be right? The old man's seventh day after death, he was named and given offerings, damn it, this kind of thing, other hungry ghosts could steal it too? And looking at the situation below, the security isn't good either. City management?"
I shook my head and said: "In my opinion, it's not a starving ghost at all, and it's even possible... that it's not a ghost!"
The madman stared blankly: "Not a ghost? Could it still be human?"
I went with the madman to the old man's house and turned around, but still didn't find anything. Was my guess wrong? I once encountered a demon that needed human blood to feed on, called the Blood God, which helped people fulfill their wishes. But after death, they would become its food, making it stronger. In fact, it was not a god at all, just a yin spirit or a yin soul.
This story is also recorded in the volume of "Ghost Painting Talismans" in Yin Yang Soul Binding Master.
I mentioned the Blood God to the madman, and he was a bit stunned. After thinking for a moment, he said: "It shouldn't be, the Blood God drinks blood, not some omnivorous animal that eats whatever it catches. What you're talking about is pigs. Could it be that the pig demon has possessed someone?"
I felt something flash through my mind, but before I could grasp it, the madman slapped his forehead: "Omnivorous animal? Could it be..."
The lunatic and I exchanged a glance, both of us saw the light in each other's eyes, and we said in unison: "Gluttony!"
The legend of the Taotie is one of the nine sons of the dragon, whose characteristic is that it loves to eat and is greedy for food. The "Shenmo Zhiyi · Yishou Pian" records: "In the extreme south of Shenzhou, there is a ferocious beast with four eyes, black skin, long neck and four legs, which is extremely fierce and greedy. It moves swiftly like the wind, causing disaster in one place."
The madman thought for a moment and asked me: "If so, this family doesn't even offer sacrifices to the gods, how can they come here to cause trouble?"
I shook my head and said, "It's not necessarily that the master of the house needs to know that the glutton has already entered. Hehe, do you still remember what happened at Zhou Daniu's house?"
When I was in school with the madman, something happened. A peasant named Zhou Daniu had just finished building a house, and on the beam of the house, there were red silk fabrics hanging inside which were hollow, and inside them were black satin fabrics sewn together. As a result, Zhou Daniu's family started having accidents one after another, starting from his youngest son. The black satin fabric was an omen for breaking off descendants. In the end, it was still me and the madman who solved the problem together.
And hanging on the beam, in the house beam and inside the house doing hands and feet, there is also a name, called "Yàn Shèng"! Generally, it was ancient woodworkers who did hand and footwork in the house. Moreover, such things were even used in the imperial palace for harem contention.
It was once heard that there was a concubine of humble origin, deeply favored by the emperor. The emperor ordered someone to build a palace for her. During the construction, another imperial consort harbored resentment and instructed the carpenters to secretly place several small wooden figures on the beam, with one woman and two men in an obscene posture.
As expected, soon after the concubine moved into the new palace, she was caught by the emperor having an affair with two guards and was subsequently put to death.
There are many rumors about the existence of "Yan Sheng" among the people, and the things that are placed are called "Zhen Wu". I also asked my master, and indeed there is such a kind of sorcery circulating among the people. In the past, only some carpenters knew how to do it. Now it has become a kind of magic trick. Few carpenters know how to do it now. This sorcery is mostly mastered by Jianghu Fangshi or some evil Taoist priests.
The sky was already late, and things couldn't be seen clearly. The top of the house beam was even darker, and nothing could be seen. I called Lin Bin and his wife to bring a flashlight over. Stepping on a stool and padding it high, let the madman hold the flashlight to check. But after looking around, there was no valuable thing.
The madman frowned and came down, Lin's wife hurriedly asked: "How is it? Did you find anything?"
The madman shook his head and said strangely: "Could it be that we guessed wrong? Isn't it a town object?"
I also find it strange. After thinking for a long time, I suddenly remembered that my master said that many unusual town objects have spiritual nature. Could it be... that this object is not ordinary?
As I thought about it, I asked Lin's couple: "Sister, are there candles at home?"
Lin's daughter-in-law turned her head to look at Lin Bin, who hastily nodded and said with a somewhat embarrassed expression: "There is, but it was for the old master to offer tribute, will that do?"
I waved my hand and said: "It's all right, as long as it's a natural fire."
Lin Bin replied, and soon brought me a white candle, asking in his mouth: "Is one enough?"
I nodded and said it was enough, then I told the madman: "You light this up and go take a look."
The madman whispered: "This thing, can it be useful? What a weirdo."
I told him to just try, the madman climbed up again with a stool, taking pictures one by one, but as soon as he took a picture of a certain position, a gust of wind blew out the candle, and I only heard the madman cursing loudly: "Damn it, there really is something!"
I hastily asked the madman what he saw? The Lin couple next to me also turned pale. The old man's house was closed because no one lived there, with doors and windows shut. Where did the wind come from that blew out the candle?
"The madman exclaimed loudly: 'I didn't see clearly, and was startled. I only saw two dim eyes and a black shadow. Before the candle could be lifted closer, it was blown out by an evil gust of wind.'"
Lin Ge was also scared, there were strange things in his own house that he didn't know about? How weird. He was a bit panicked and hurriedly asked me what to do? It wouldn't be some kind of living thing, would it?
I signaled him to calm down and told him it should be a tranquilizer. Don't worry. Then I thought for a moment, and said to him: "Lin Ge, can the table in the living room be moved here?"
Lin Bin is now a bit flustered, obviously taking me as a living god. He nodded repeatedly: "Okay okay okay, don't mention moving the table, even if you ask me to demolish the house, we should demolish it too. How can this go on? When will it end?"
Lin Bin's wife heard this and scolded: "Isn't it that dead old man of yours?"
The madman suddenly said with a bad face: "Sister, it's not me who says you, but are you still not tired of being tossed around? Do you know? It's okay for the town to be in an uproar, but if it's a family that accumulates good deeds and has a wide range of blessings, then it will absolutely not make such a big deal. On the contrary, if you don't leave any virtue behind, this thing will become even more greedy, do you feel your lower jaw getting cold when you sleep at night?
Lin Bin's wife was also a bit scared after hearing the madman say that, and she subconsciously touched the dimple on her chin, asking with a hint of guilt: "What's wrong with my mouth feeling cold?"
