Chapter Thirty-One: Possession by Ghosts
I didn't expect that Tianji would promise me something and then not follow through. Early in the morning, he called me and said his old man was busy helping someone with a funeral, which made me so angry I wanted to hit him over the phone. There's no way around it, I couldn't lose faith, I had promised Guantingting something and I couldn't go back on my word. Besides, I also wanted to figure out who the two graves in the simple drawing Shen Rukuan gave me belonged to.
I drove to the foot of Mei Mountain and arrived at the rental house, where Gu Tingting had been waiting for a long time alone.
Seeing me come alone, he asked: "Shang Yu, where are your friends?"
I hung my head and replied: "Something urgent came up, I'm not coming."
"Are we still going?" asked Guan Tingting.
"Since it's an appointment, I'll definitely go!"
I also want to see if there are any monsters in Meishan, and I want to see that invisible ghost, it won't come out during the day, going at night is not as good as going now.
Guān Tíngtíng agreed.
We walked into Mei Mountain, looking at Guan Tingting's graceful figure, I suddenly had an evil thought, wanting to hook up with her. Of course, this is just a thought and cannot be done.
We walked along the route that night into the mountains for a while, but found nothing. Guan Tingting led the way forward with all her might, and after walking for a while, we arrived deep in the mountains.
During the day, I can see more clearly that the trees in the mountain are almost all the same size and basically look the same. This forest seems to be endless.
Two things came to mind. One was that Qin Suer said her sister Qin Yuer's grave was buried on Mei Mountain, and what about those two solitary graves, why hadn't I seen them?
I walked slowly, and Qin Su'er called out: "What's wrong, are you afraid?"
I came back to myself and lied: "No, I was thinking if we can get out of here later."
"I didn't expect Guan Tingting to say, 'If we can't get out, then don't go out. At worst, we'll spend the night in the mountains.' She said and continued walking forward. I don't want to spend the night in this haunted mountain, I have to remember the route here, and tonight I still have to find Qin Su'er."
After walking about 500 meters, Guan Tingting suddenly stopped. I walked up to take a look and took a cold breath. In front of me was a lone grave.
There is no tombstone. Is this a chaotic grave?
Gu Tingting was also shocked, her eyes fixed on the front, as if she had been stunned. I waved my hand in front of her, and she looked at me for a moment before continuing to walk forward.
I hurriedly caught up with her and reminded her: "Are you still walking? There's a grave ahead!"
Guān Tíngtíng didn't seem to hear, still walking forward with big strides. I thought this girl wouldn't be possessed by a ghost or something, a young girl who sees a sudden appearance of a lone grave in the mountains and isn't afraid?
I surprisingly found that the tomb looked new, and curiously walked over. As I got closer, I realized that the tomb had been dug up by someone and then filled again. I thought to myself, was it the one who crawled out of this tomb that ambushed us in the woods that night?
Where are the two lonely souls drawn on the blueprint? I looked ahead, but still didn't see them. I wanted to know what Guan Tingting was thinking, and just as I turned around to talk to her, I realized that she had disappeared!
"ting ting!" I called out, but didn't hear her response.
I rushed down to take a look, and this guy wouldn't be dragged into the grave by a ghost, would he? I shouted anxiously several times again, but still there was no response from Guan Tingting. I vaguely remembered that when I stopped to look at the excavated tomb, she seemed not to have stopped, and must have gone ahead.
"Ting Ting!" I shouted as I ran forward, my heart burning with anxiety.
But I ran for about 400-500 meters and still didn't see any sign of Guan Tingting.
I was worried and regretful, suddenly thought of calling her phone, quickly dialed Guan Tingting's number, but it was turned off.
I rushed back and ran to the front of the excavated tomb, and unexpectedly found Guan Tingting sitting in front of the tomb, with her back to me.
"What's wrong with you? I jumped up and scolded her: 'You damn thing, why didn't you see me just now?'"
Guan Tingting didn't move and didn't respond.
I was stunned by the scene in front of me. The tomb in front of me had been dug up, and the corpse inside had also been dug out, scattered randomly on the ground. Guan Tingting stared at the pile of corpses in front of her, speechless, as if she had become stupid.
Was she scared silly by this corpse?
I crouched down in front of her and asked softly, "Are you okay?"
Gu Tingting suddenly raised her eyes and looked at me, smiled strangely and asked: "Are you worried about me?"
"Damn it! I stood up and scolded her, "Tingting, I was worried about you, worried that you were caught by those perverts who couldn't be seen that night!"
Gu Tingting looked at the pile of bones and said: "It was dug up, exposed outside, so pitiful, it's a girl after all..."
My heart skipped a beat as I asked, "How did you know it was a girl?"
Gu Tingting said: "I just know."
I'm too lazy to bother with her, but thinking of the ancestors' emphasis on resting in peace after death, this exposed corpse is indeed pitiful, being scorched by the sun, drenched by the rain, blown by the wind and frozen by the frost. So I said: "Let's bury her then."
Gu Tingting gazed at me dully: "Shang Yu, you come and bury her."
I easily dug a hole with the military dagger I carried with me, and was about to use the dagger to put the bones into the hole. Suddenly, I thought, isn't this too disrespectful? After all, death is a big deal. But I didn't want to pick it up by hand either, after all, it felt wrong somehow.
Guān Tíngtíng kept staring at me, I felt uneasy under her gaze and stared back at her asking: "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Get her buried already, why aren't you doing anything?"
"How to bury?"
Guang Tingting said: "Put the corpse into the pit and fill it with soil."
"I said: 'With hands? That's too terrifying!'"
Gu Tingting said: "Use your hand, it won't blame you...... Hurry up!"
I don't know what happened, but I listened to her words. However, I was still afraid and muttered to the skeleton: "Sorry, I don't know who you are? I didn't mean to offend you, I just wanted to let you rest in peace...". After finishing, I carefully picked up the skeleton and put it into the pit.
As I went to pick up the skull, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my fingertips, and fresh blood flowed out, dripping onto the skull. Strangely, as soon as the drop of blood landed on the skull, it instantly disappeared, as if absorbed by the skull. I didn't pay much attention, wiping my finger on my body before continuing to pick up the skull.
After burying the bones, I patted my hands and said: "Ting Ting, it's done, great success!"
Not hearing Gu Tingting's response, I lifted my head and saw her standing there motionless.
This guy won't have been possessed by an evil spirit, will he? I'm getting a bit creeped out.
I went to hold her hand, but found it was icy cold. I let go of her hand and touched her forehead instead.
She slapped him down with one hand and glared at him with round eyes: "Shang Yu, what are you trying to do?"
"I called you and you didn't respond, did your brain get fried or something?" I asked.
"Are you out of your mind?!" Gu Tingting exclaimed angrily.
"Then why don't you come with me?"
"I won't leave. I think this girl is so pitiful, buried alone here, and her remains were dug up by someone else...I want to stay with her for a while."
Could she have been bewitched by that invisible demon? Ah, no, a solitary grave, could this be the final resting place of Qin Suer's twin sister Qin Yuer?
Thinking of this, I broke out in a cold sweat.
Qin Su'er repeatedly warned me not to go up Mei Mountain, fearing that I would disturb the spirit of her deceased sister, but unexpectedly, I really did end up disturbing it.
Isn't this fate? I was so frightened that I didn't dare to look for the two thousand-mile-old tombs again, and shouted "There's a ghost!", pulling Gu Tingting's hand and dragging her out.
Gu Tingting tried hard to pull her hand back and angrily said: "Shen Shangyu, what are you doing?"
"I shouted: 'Ting Ting, there's a ghost, run quickly!'"
Gu Tingting shook off my hand and said: "Who are you fooling? There's no ghost in broad daylight!"
She's gone completely crazy!
I walked up behind her and swept her into my arms, turning around to run towards the outside of the mountain.
Gu Tingting kept slapping me with her hands and shouted: "Shen Shangyu, what do you want to do? Let me go!"
No matter how loudly she shouted, I just wouldn't put her down.
Gu Tingting struggled constantly, I held her tightly in my arms, damn, this girl's body is so soft and light, holding her in my arms like holding a little kid. What's even more depressing is that my lower body inexplicably hardened. I tried to extinguish the flames within me, taking big strides running out of the woods.
"Let me down!" Guan Tingting shouted angrily, her five fingers waving wildly as she began to scratch my face.
"Don't move!" I shouted furiously: "If you move again, I'll execute you on the spot!"
Guān Tíngtíng indeed didn't dare move anymore.
I was carrying her and running towards the outside of the mountain when I suddenly saw a pheasant emerge from a clump of low trees in front.
Scared me to death! I reflexively let go of his hand.
Gu Tingting fell to the ground with a thud. I ignored her and shouted at the pheasant, "What the hell are you doing here? Trying to scare me to death?"
Tian Ji's face was solemn as he went to see Guan Tingting, who had fallen to the ground. His grandma, that girl had actually fainted.
It won't be that serious, will it? It's just a little high, can you get dizzy from this?
"Brothers, Guan Tingting has been possessed by an evil spirit!"
The words had barely fallen when a gust of dark wind suddenly swept across the clear sky, and I saw a figure hastily emerge from Guan Tingting's body and rush to escape into the woods.
Good heavens! Look at this figure, it's actually Qin Su'er. I'm spinning around in circles, is this really possible?
"Brothers, the ghost has run away, let's chase after it quickly!"
I stood dazed in the forest, motionless and stunned.
The paddy field saw me like this and couldn't help but look at Gu Tingting, waving his hand in front of my eyes: "Brother, are you okay?"
I came back to myself, and in my mind I was still thinking about the ghostly figure that had just escaped into the woods. Dammit, it looked so much like Qin Su'er!
