Chapter 5: The Headless Female Corpse

  Ever since I made a vengeful spirit for that woman, several people have come to me asking me to raise spirits, but I've all pushed them away.   Maggots corrode the corpse, generally starting from under the skin and eating until all the flesh and blood in the body are consumed. This corpse has been placed in a morgue, where the maggots inside have long been frozen to death. However, upon seeing those things and smelling this stench, I believe no one can withstand it.

Captain Liu had known all along that this female corpse was so disgusting, yet he hadn't given me a mask beforehand.   Because of the long time she had been dead, a white film had formed over her eyes, just like a patient with cataracts, and they looked dull and murky.

  Although the woman's eyes were dull, I vaguely saw that there seemed to be a strange and eerie glow flashing in this pair of eyes, which made me feel a layer of goosebumps all over my body.

  This woman is looking at me!
